If they have your bankbook too. And it's Krung Thai Bank, it may be possible.
Last year I did it without showing ID, this year they asked to see my passport.
If they don't succeed, there are lots of other branches to try.
Please let us know if you are successful, others are in your position too.
So, I finally have an update:
If the foreign beneficiary (of the Tax refund) has a Krungthai bank account, any person (showing positive ID) can deposit the refund into the beneficiary's account using the counter service (beneficiary'sbank account number needed)
If the foreign beneficiary does not have a KTB account, a certified copy of the beneficiary's passport (certified by the MFA at Chaeng Wattana), a power of attorney form signed by two witnesses (form available at any KTB branch), and the refund letter from the Revenue Department has to be presented by the nominee. The nominee will then receive an E-money card to the value of the refund's amount with the pin code 111-111 (or 000-000, the teller will tell them) with which they can withdraw the money. The card can not be used overseas. The card has a validity period of 5 years.

Not scared of the virus, but for my kids' sake, I don't want anyone to catch it (quarantine and all)
Anyway, as we were checking into a Recent (Can't mention names but c rhymes with g)???? Cha-am/Hua-hin hotel, the one receptionist asked to chek our temperatures. "Sure, no problem", we said. I heard her saying numbers to the lady handling my passport "The little one 36.5 etc." and after she did me I turned to my wife and said, "I hope they change the cover" (It was the ear type) - I turned to the lady that had just done my check and watched her wipe the thermometer with some alcohol - yep, no cover used, so that thing has been in countless other people's ears today. Pointless really.

The only rule people do seem to 'follow' should have been abolished generations ago.
Thailand has gazzilions of laws, but close to zero enforcement. We're always on about enforcement leading to compliance. Funny that the one rule strongly enforced is generally complied with. Now imagine enforcing traffic laws with the same vigor...

I don't understand the media's (and I'm talking about western outlets reporting) obsession with calling him a "billionare". Yes, he is very rich, but he is a Baht billionare. The media doesn't report on other baht billionares in such a way...it's like they're trying to find false equivalence with Taksin, but Thanthorn is a long way poorer than Big T.

Well, I am trying to deal with one supplier in Shandong Province, next to Henan, they are still in lock down.. it is most certainly NOT over in China...
Shandong will be one of the last non-central provinces to go back to normal due to the huge amount of traffic between Shandong and South Korea. They have a ton of S.Korean interests in Shandong.

So people didn't vote for her, because she is a woman, and thus proving the point that people won't vote for a woman.
OR
People didn't vote for Elizabeth Warren, the person, because they didn't like the person based on the person's policy, regardless of whether said person was a woman or not.

I wonder if anybody will ask, if that is all you get every month how do you afford the BMW and Mercedes and the nice houses
The rule of thumb is that the top dogs in the army and police usually marry rich women and/or inherit it. That is how their wealth is usually explained.

So here is the list of current required documents for a 60 day extension (based on marriage) at Chumphon Immigration:
Tm7 + Copies of:
Wife's Tabien Baan
Wife's ID
Kor Ror 3 (Marriage Cert)
Kor Ror 2 (Marriage registry)
Passport Photo Page
Passport Latest Entry Stamp plus TM6
If you're not staying at wife's tabien baan address, you obviously need some other proof of address (rental agreement etc.)
The only thing different from Bangkok is the Kor Ror 2. Now, IO asked if I had a copy and so I produced one (3 years old so proves jack <deleted>), but I'm not sure what would have happened if I said I didn't have one.
Chumphon Immigration really quiet and the whole thing over in just over an hour. They're mostly busy with fleecing Burmese labourers for 100 Baht 90 day reports.

Same problem for me. The phone app is not working. I have tried to do on-line but the point of entry question lists 247 options all in Thai. I can read Thai but I gave up trying to find Don Meuang as you cannot easily scroll down a list, just painfully search page by page.
I tried a random point of entry but it failed.
Any tips from somebody who has used the on-line method (today).
Don Muang doesn't show up. I'm assuming it's S08 listed as Bangkok,

What is it in the national psyche that has caused so many coups and failed governments both democratic and dictatorial? Yes a very young country, but there are other young countries with much more stable records of governance. It is baffling.
It is not baffling. A system where subservience is encouraged, and questioning authority (familial, educational, governmental) is dissuaded, breeds corruption, because there is no accountability.
Numbers also play a big part. Count from 1 - 10 and take your time saying 9 and 10.

Thank you, Scott. I pride myself on taking reassurances regarding the intentions of political leaders from people that can't spell their own surname.IO conscript Somchai had one job - find an English name to use on that farang website and infiltrate them. He couldn't even get that right - probably would have been more believable if he went with "James Bond".

Tell your daughter to tell whoever is waiting until October, that it will be too late. Now is the time for protest, not EIGHT MONTHS from now. Nobody will remember this <deleted> in 8 months unless the pressure is consistent: Who remembers Prayuth's brother earning 1.3 million for attending one meeting; who remembers his nephew receiving a building contract; who remembers Rachabakhti park; who remembers "Elections in October 2014"; who remembers 80 Baht lottery tickets; who remembers "no coup, believe me"; who remembers a missing plaque; who remembers "Prayuth is not a government official - Constitution court"...hell, who remembers Red Bull Boss (It's 2020 already)

They normally do not cross check the date on the form to the online database.
You could of stayed longer at the hotel than when the report was done at check in or you could of stayed somewhere else after the hotel.
It does make me wonder why people get fined for late reporting then. Surely, they should just enter the date that suits them to not get fined?

Long story short: During my 10 years in Thailand, the TM30 was never a thing (Worked in BKK; travelled around country a lot; stayed with family in Chumphon).
Now, I've come to Thailand again (30 day visa exempt) and unexpectedly have to stay longer, so I'll get the 60 day extension. However, I stayed at a hotel a week ago and have been at my family's home since then. Now that I have to do an extension, it seems that they might want a TM30 first. So a few questions:
1) If my mother-in-law goes to do the TM30, will she get fined for reporting me late?
2) Can she lie and say I arrived on the day that she goes to immigration? If so, will they check and notice that I haven't been registered since last week or will my hotel report still be valid (Do hotels do daily reports on their guests or do they just do one on arrival, in which case I can say I stayed at the hotel for a week.)
3) If we register to do the online reporting, will they notice any discrepancies in reporting dates?
Thanks in advance for any feedback/advice.

“I told related agencies to investigate,” Prayuth told reporters. “If there is anything that can be sued they will do so.”
Well, if what they said was false it would be easy to sue them. Prayuth knows whether the allegations are true or false - his actions prove them to be true (He wouldn't need an investigation if he knew they were fslse)

Where do you sugget the 6 million Thai citizens, who had their political voices taken away, move to?

Why wouldnt tourists wear them?
My wife loves them (Thai), because they are so confortable. I know many Thais that wear them from all walks of life.
My sister-in-law (Not Thai) loves them too, although she uses local material these days to get new pairs (She works in children's OT and finds them perfect for groundwork with the kids).

Can anyone explain why the money was confiscated?
If the party is being punished, and, as the court claims, the party and the lender are separate entities, then surely the money should be returned to the lender? But, if they're saying thay since Thanathorn was part of the party and thus they are punishing him directly, does it not prove that he and the party are the same entity (in the eyes of the court) and, therefore, the loan was not in fact a loan (you can't lend money to yourself).

Trump declares coronavirus national emergency, says he will most likely be tested

DId the architects of the model state that it was indeed the leadership of Trump that resulted in their bizarre model. I say bizarre, not as a a scientist, just as someone working in China (the eipcentre of the virus, with almost 20% of the world's population, and currently likely to end with less than 5000 deaths), who thinks that a "low" figure of 160,000 deaths is consequently absolute BS.
