The teacher had the correct plan. Her problem was that instead of a pencil or pen she used a marker/highlighter. Sending notes home with forgetful students is not new. Teachers have been doing it for years if not century. The challenge here is only the size of the paper. As to damage to uniform that only happens when it's done a lot. Until you have taught in a Thai school you really have no idea. I have been the one with the note. Seemed that anything that was not beneficial to me kept getting forgotten or lost. My mother and grandmother were the ones to suggest it to the school.

Officials: Garbage Obstructs Flood Drainage
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Why can the Thai government not put garbage bins on the streets so that when you finish a bottle of water. In Kingston, we used to have trucks that went along the street and vacuum the drains. pit grates on the sewers that do not let bottles go into the sewer. Hire a company to clean the canals. -

You also add in School under fire after student caught selling cannabis https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2350053/school-under-fire-after-student-caught-selling-cannabis People growing for their own use is not an issue. Most countries regulate who can legally sell and who can not. The big issue here to me is that students that still do not know what sex really is, that have access to alcohol, school gangs and have never been taught responsibility for their actions

Shot down by junta, should Bangkok district councils be resurrected?
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
It makes sense to have councils for the areas so that the needs of the areas are met and not just those of the rich business group. -
These days fools will buy anything if it has a logo or is part of something they like. Look at what people pay for uniforms that someone signed. or this new NFT where I can buy a virtual signed Jersey that Gretzky wore when he played in the 7th game or a pair of shoe laces that Jordan had in his sports bag.

Talks to Discuss Curbing Post-Holiday Activities

There is an increase in covid patients. You just have to look at a lot of the schools. A lot of my students are positive for covid. However that being said it is more like the flu in that kids get sick stay home and then come back after they are healthy. I think the big problem is going to be the people that get covid and like the flu and other illnesses just keep going to work or going out. Let's face it no one really expected that this would just disappear one day. It is here now like the flu or the common cold we need to figure out how to live with it. -

Indian man rips out passport pages to hide Thailand trip from wife
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
LOL the things men do to try to be safe. wife is a good indian wife and whne he tells her he is going to mumbai for business she assumes that he is. Same good Indian wife though will have family and brothers adjust his jewels so that trips to anywhere would not bring happy ending. no matter how good the masseuse was or is. -
VIDEO: Nightlife sector slowly recovers post pandemic
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Looking at some of the places yes things are open but not a lot of traffic. PAPONG is a ghost town due to lack of tourist and rain, Rumour has it that some of the stalls may return but no one knows for sure. Until more horney single men start coming to Thailand it is going to be quiet. Lots of girls on Thaniya but again little traffic Most places on Surwangse are closed -
H i just wondering what nightlife in Pattaya is like when there is a booze ban like there is this week. Are the bars and nightclubs still open or are they closed. What is the night life during these days like.

I have since I been in LOS used the same online agency for hotels. Today I ran into something I never dreamed of. I talked to the hotel and tried to cancel a booking and they said ok. Talked to the booking agency and they did not have a problem. HOWEVER, it turns out that the agent did not deal directly with the hotel but a 3rd party that wanted me to pay 2/3 of the total price to cancel the hot el booking. As I said this is one of the top sites and its name Rhymes with pagoda. I am now leery of using these sites anymore. has anyone here run into this.

There are always blank areas for CCTV you can never cover everything. Do you want cctv in bathrooms. While there scan be problems with teachers I would feel a lot safer if t here was someone sleeping in the area that could keep an eye on kids making sure that they do go to sleep at reasonable hours. I taught at a matayom school that had no supervision and would you like to take a guess where a lot of the male students and female students slept A teacher walking the halls is not a bad thing or hire a couple of parents to do it.

First yes I know how this sounds. But I am truly enjoying life in LOS with n o interest in moving. A friend in Canada met a "nice" Indonesian lady on FB She tells him that she is RC and not muslim. He is thinking of visiting her with the thought of staying long term. What are the pitfalls that he is missing. Does anyone have any advice. I know from a Thai aspect what to tell him but have no idea what indonesia is like. Thanks
