Here is the problem and yes I taught Matayom and dealt with this. Some students have no reason to behave. They know that no matter what they learn or do not learn they will pass. Most mom's and Dads do not want to know what goes on at the schools Other than yelling at their kids if they (the parents) lose face they do nothing Thai teachers are not equipped to hand out punicshment because it isnot taught. You can not use any of the punishments that we have/had in Canada you can not keep them after school, you can not give them extra homework, if you single them out it is a positive for them not a negative The threat or possibility of getting wacked is the biggest deterrent. A school I taught at had a simple solution in the English Department we had Khun X. While also being a great teacher and knowing her stuff she was the disciplinarian of the department. 2 things the kids did not like was a. being told to go see her or b a student being asked to go and get her to come to the class. She was known as fair but not someone you wanted to be on the bad side of. To me the detterent that is needed is to have an assitant director or senior teacher responsible for punishment. This person can punish by having the student suspended and only allowed back into the school once the parents have talked to him/her meeting with parents to outline that continued incidents can mean the child is removed form the school detention sorry you missed our van corporal punishment. The idea that international schools do not deal with this is as stated. The parents pay through the nose for the kids to go there and the kids know that if they screw up mom and ad will kill them Also, international schools have the ability to fail a student.

None of the gambling establishments that get raided advertise gambling They do not advertise makes no sense Massage parlours that offer extras don't advertise but they still get raided and shut down, anything to do with sex is supposedly illegal the only thing not illegal is dad coming home getting a quickie from his wife and that is more because they need more Thais than anything else

What killed Patpong was all the people hawking the rip-off joints. Even the Thais that have been there for a long time will be happy if they never return. The sadness is that most if not all of the real restaurants are gone. The market was a once-in-a-lifetime place that tourists had to go to just for the atmosphere.

TAT boggles the mind. Prostitution is illegal but NANA and cowboy in Bk Walking street Beach road and soi buakow in Pattaya flourish with bars that openly advertise the availability Showing affection is frowned upon in public making vanilla porn movies is illegal because sex is illegal but yet you can watch soaps where people beat each other up and husbands are allowed to beat their wives. girls can flaunt their bodies and appear almost naked on stage but not on video sites that are rated for people over 18 again I know the answer but it still amazes me at times T A T

The funny thing to term limit arguments is that there is already a system to set term limits in the U.S. as in most countries. It is called elections. If people feel tIme is up simply vote for someone else. Nancy, Maxine and such get in because of the money they spread in the communities that they live. People have to wake up to the world around them and take an interest. It isno differnet in the U.S. Canada UK Aus or Thailand until people asy enough and take action at the polls nothing is going to change. Nancy in this case is onthe right side considering that issues that the Biden family have with all the money they have made from China. Joe has to kiss Xi ring everytime they talk. Imagine Xi threatening Trump or bush with assasination. The U.S. used to be a power house in the world because it was self sufficient. It inovated, it manufactured it grew enough food and had enough energy that it was not reliant on anyone else. Taxation, rampant union rules, high costs and lack of incentives and now the U.S. is no better than the U.K. and Thailand in it's dependence on other countries. The U.S. has the energy resources internally to supply more people than any other country but the Greenies do not want to use it they would rather ther countries polute the air so that they can be on thehigh horse.

After being a dedicated PATPONG believer I decided to admit that NANA still holds the same place in my heart as it always did. Where else can you go to MacDonald's and get an all you can screw meal deal I think a lot of the people that sold at PP are now on the street on Suk. NAN plaza lived up to what everyone hear has been saying. It is livleyol and busy. After eating at Hooters the GF and I moved to BIGBOB's and got front row seatrs for the entrance to the plaza. It was hilarious to watch all the handsum sexy older farang with the big guts walking out with their grand daughters lol What surprised me was that there seemed to be Thai men young and old walking out with gf or am I wrong. explained to gf that any man with 3000 baht in his pocket is .handsum sexy good man. Also watching the pole dancers and everything it was definitely an experience. GF wants to go into one or the clubs inside. Yes I found a girl that likes to kiss and be a bad Thai girl.

Hiring a maid for the 1st time, what to expect?
kingstonkid replied to weelittletimmy's topic in Phuket
When I lived in a house I paid my maid 5k a month to clean everyday (dust wash floors etc) laundry 2 days a week and to look after the cat. Now that I have moved to an apartment I find it easier just to buy my food at Lotus and do my own cleaning and looking after the cat. Ironing to me is relaxing and therapeutic cleaning the house is a simple case of sweeping the floor running a wet mop over it. Even looking after the cat is simple. Before you get a maid I would suggest that you get yourself organized in country and make sure of everything you are doing. Take a couple of weeks to figure out what you want. If you are not going to be in country long (1 year) then it makes no sense to try to teach a Thai how to grill and cook food to western levels. -

Also if you look close I am willing to bet she has clothes underneath it that are more suitable -

I started a small school tutoring. First thing my gf and I decided was to hire an office manager to deal with parents and more important to deal with Thai staff hiring and firing. Paid her well above market value and it was worth every baht. I taught students set the policies and lessons she dealt with parents and staff issues.

To sell or not to sell, that is the question for Thai Expats
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
LoL kiddies I can remember when a coke was 10 cents and I got 2 back for the bottle. Gas was 35 cents a gallon you could go on a date and spend 25 dollar and might get 3rd base at the drive in. Now water is almost as expensive as Coke. Gas is sold in liters and is over 2.00 there is no such thing as a drive in so getting anywhere is a dream. Now I am in Los where fat old men wearing Leo tank top sandals and shorts that do up under there gut are still handsum as long as they gave 2000 baht in their pocket. Quit complaining imagine if you had to live the life you have here in your home country. -

Most money lenders will run away from people wanting money to gamble. The ROI is <deleted> and there is no hope of getting as anything back. Pawnshop could do a good business but the 500k in bank will cause issues. Question does nana plaza qualify as an entertainment area -

kingstonkid replied to TheJoker999's topic in Health and Medicine
30 minutes with psych cost around 1500 plus any meds try to get Thai version bnh is not cheap for meds. As to counsellor mine is 3500 for an hour but you may be able to find cheaper. Psychiatrist can help find reasonable counsellor or may do it himself. Most Thai hospitals non governmental have psychiatrist If your friend is Thai I have no idea
