This goes back to the school and ore importantly, the parents. Thailand is becoming more and more like the U.S., which we see on the news and read about online. First parents are too busy to be involved intheir kids lives therefore kids are not taught about being responsible for your actions. Bullies in schools have existed since there were schools. Students used to be able to go to teachers who would then talk to the student or the parents and get it resolved. Unfortunately kids now seem to think that they have to resolve it themselves. Yes the parents should pay medical bills but besides that maybe instead of teaching stuff schools and parents can get back to teaching the life skills that are necessary such as integrity, honesty and ethics as well as reading writing and arithmetic

High-Ranking Official Caught Stealing Public Money
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This happens to a varying degree in all municipalities. Me thinks she P!ssed in someone's corn flakes and this was their way to get revenge. -
I was one of those that questioned her time for going to walking street. I still stand behind that comment. Still stand behind my comment. Going out by yourself into an area like Walking street at midnight to 2 am period is not the safest thing to do. I would suggest that it is comparable to walking down the old Yonge street in Toronto in the 80's or times square in NYC now. Yes the lights and action are amazing to see but... As to the perpetrator, the fact that he is Indian is important to note. an average of 86 cases daily are raped in India. India still has a long-standing issue with females and safety in their country. Now add in alcohol consumption and the same lights and the girls that attract this man and it ramps up his desires as well as his lower his inhibitions.

The only solutions that can be done are 1. the driver canned and a report put on his drivers licence 2. can the teacher the school can be hit but if it is a government school then it does not have any money. I would assume a private school would have insurance or a fund and would have already looked after that. No matter what the real punishment has already happened to all involved. Careers are ruined. they have lost face in their community The school will also lose students and lose funding if it is a private school If it is a government school tehre is not much except that people in charge of the school will be disciplined.

<<<<Trolling image removed>>>> I know a lot of people that drove school busses that sat 50 students and they never had a problem. The solution has nothing to do with selling a program or app. That is as stated in the pic. The solution is so simple that it is ridiculous. When a driver reaches a destination they do a walk through of the vehicle. That way they can clean any messes collect anything that is forgotten and if there are any stowaways they can retrieve them. Bus walk throughs are mandatory in Ontario. If a driver fails to do the walk through they can lose their job and be blacklisted from that school district. As to enforcement it is easy. 1. a school rep or parent watches all vans coming to the school to make sure that a walk through is done before the van leaves. 2. a parent is asked to have their child leave something on the van 3. cctv at all drop off locations. As to the teachers they should be instructed that just like in the event of a fire drill or start of classes when they go on a trip they must at all times do an attendance. Non compliance can include dismissal.

Thailand grapples with allowing more Chinese landowners
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think the big difference between all foreigners and Chinese is that the Chinese have a lot of money that they can not spend or invest in China without the government there looking into their dealings -

At this stage it is not "Prawit Goons" that he has to worry about it is RTP and Thai immigration. His wife may think things are rough now under Prawit but let's see how she likes life after her hubby is sent back to Germany and she either has the choice of possibly moving to Germany or being without her main source of income. There is no way she will get a visa to visit Germany in the timeframe that Immigration will have to remove him.

11 Provinces Warned of Rising Chao Phraya River
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Any province along the Chao Praya is in danger not really necessary to list them. Living in Pathum Thani we are used to the river flooding every year at this time. Anyone living along the river is used to it. Those of us in Rangsit can only hope that the city does not lock and close its canals like in 2011. -
Young German Man Displays Anti-Prawit Photo In Rayong
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand
There is nothing wrong with telling your wife what you think. I also agree that attending a (1) demonstration is like going to old Patpong, something that you have to do while here. Going u p on stage to protest anything even the treatment of Soi dogs is dumb. The only smart thing that this idiot did was not have a picture of someone else. I have learned one thing about Thai politics and it is a simple lesson. Getting involved in Thai politics is like getting involved with the missus family disputes or a cop getting involved with domestic violence. You are going to be wrong no matter what you say or do. People may to your face agree but watch your back. -
That will save your furniture but you will still not be able to stay there if it happens. I did that in 2011 and was ready to ride it out until the sewers backed up on the second floor. The challenge is not having access to food and fresh water. They have done some work around Rangsit and in Pathum Thani, but it will be interesting to see how much it works. The other problem is Thais throwing garbage into the canals Going to be interesting to see what people do and how they act this time; a lot more people are living in the burbs and not sure the sewer lines have been improved enough.

Should the Thai government ban mobile use for motorcyclists?
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Banning is one thing enforcing the ban is the joke (not a BIG JOKE) no t only do they use them when stationary but they use them when actually driving just like cars. -
Bangkok gets tough with motorcyclists riding or parking on pavements
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
This is an annual thing that has no teeth -
Teachers can not keep students late after school because the parents or the minibus will not wait for them. I wish that the media and those involved would publish the whole story. Students continually coming in late Students being noisy when they come in students not care about a teacher or other students. Not saying this is the case but .... The other point is that when Thai parents read these things, just like in other countries, there are parents that see dollar signs. 200 is not a number you start with I am willing to bet that it has been going on for awhile
