There are a lot of places with farmers and old time RED people that think about the old days and what Thaksin did for them. They don't see nor care about what it is doing to the country as long as it is good for them Hence all the talk about helping the farmers. What has to happen is that they need to get rid of the big money leaders both BJT and PTP. Thaksin was more effective as a person that had been done wrong. The leader that got forced to seek exile and was the poor man that wanted to come back but was forced to lead by proxy. With him comeing back that is gone and people have lost faith in the Man. They are also seeing a party that doesnot have a legal leader. The only thing keeping PTP in power is the fear that the Elite have that PPP still have the power and the elite do not have a DEM party or anything that can combat them.

Pheu Thai was great and was a power when there wre just 2 political parties the Dems (royals) the PHeuThai (red not as royalistic and ore intuned withthe hand outs) Once Yingluck got the boot Thaksin had a major problem he just didnot know it. The Dems stayed but diminished, the military brought in the PPRP (rule of law everyone loved the military) and the Pheu Thai that dreated the lamilitary take over by supposedly trying to get Thaksin in throught hte back door. Then the people party or youth and business looked at the MFP and realized that there was something else. A group tht wanted to make amendments that wanted to do away with the status quo. They got voted in and would have been in power but for the sente which was military and elite backed and would not have let anyone in that was anti military. Pheu Thai got in by selling their soul to the devil. They made the deals that they needed denouncing their anti army philosphy and kissing the ring of BJT and Prayut. They thought just by Thaksin coming back they could change the world back to where it was. OOPS Right now the People's party is in control of the next election they re the party to beat. BJT is the second party because they have shown they will stay loyal to the militry adn elite causes Then there is the Pheu Thai that have failed to show any leadership other than Thaksin who legally can not be involved. They elected a PM Sretha who ws good but did not have the shin name. Put in his daughter who has almost no credibility in business let alone in government Yes Tiger Tony is in trouble and he knows it. That is why he is no longer hiding behind daughter it is a bad stte for him.

This is the least hot Songkran I ever remember......And a bit rainy too...

Diddn't seem to phase the people partying though they just kept going at it i guiess wet is wet no mattere if it is a soaker or rain LOL -
If they wanted out it was easy the queen gave them that. Then when MEGAiN realized the money tap was shut off and no wanted to hire a d class hack. She ran to Oprah and betrayed the queen. Then Harry writes Spare p!ssing off everyone he ever called a friend or family He keeps saying he needs protection so what happened to Diana doesn't happen to his family. Hate to say this but the paparazzi could care less about you and your mommy. Justice will prevail when William takes the throne and removes Sussex from that family. If dad wanted him back in the UK it is simple. Based on Spare have the Donald revoke his visa. No one in the US would care actually some might cheer because a Richie was getting the same treatment as other immigrants

Can anyone remember the heavy rain during songkran. Had to laugh 2 guys came into a restaurant and instead of beer ordered hot coffee -
I have not seen any bars or restaurants along Beach Road, where most of the water fight is closed. Hell they are the ones charging 20-100 baht for water. Some have restrictions on what you can bring into the restaurant or bar. Bangkok is the same thing a lot of the bars are open earlier so that they can make the money off of the tourrists.

I don't think it is so much about the virus as such BUT the fact that when Covid hit and people needed medical supplies and test kits the only country that had them was China and it was not sharing. Add in the Fentanyl and the cheap prioce that it costs china to make the products they do with the tariffs and restrictions that they place on goods coming from outside China and that is also part of it.

Thailand's Sugar Tax Spurs Sweeter Beverage Reformulations
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
But it is a start you can not expect a country to change everything about diet in one shot. Let the people get used to this. Will it make a difference I don't think so but at least they are trying. -
The rule that they have is that ANY THAI going into the casino must pay and have. I amsure there will be amendments but it is still interesting, I live inthe real world I also live in a world where most business people that go will not want to waste the 5k. My point is that the governement has to rethink this. I lived in Ontario when this wsa also a discussion point that there would be a lot of people that would be negatively afected. In a country less corrupt it is simple all casinos have a blacklist with pictures of people that are not wanted. This is not just people that break the law or the bank but also peoe that theyknow can not afford to be in the casino. Ther are a lot of things that have to be looked at. The simple rule and ost casinos that I now of have a you can not play here if you work here rule. bottom line is that the entertainment center may hae a small floor print of the casion but donot kid yourself the casino will be the main money maker. There needs to be a more indepth plan as to what the rest of the cmplex is gong to be. Add in a waterpark or amusement park as the other part. The challenge is that the government has no plan for anything. It just seems a good idea

How are you going to run a casino if any Thai going into it has to pay 5k and have 50K in the bank? Not many of the card dealers or wait staff I know have that kind of money. The other catch is the entertainment center part of it. Will this not take away from BITEC and the other areas that hold star shows. Unless they hire an American or British company that has a ot to lose if they screw up it willbe a chinese run operation with most ofthemoeny being laundered by the chinese

He probably thought he could write spare do the interviews and everyone would think he was a good boy. Eventually daddy and the government are going to reach their limit. Tell trmp that if there's an issue boot him and take away the Sussex titles. Just imagine the he'll big brother can rain on him after he becomes king.

Phuket's Foreign Outburst: Drunk Man Chases Thai Resident
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
The question is not the weed so much as the quality and purity what has been added. Consider that phuket is a free for all like the old west in movies. A 10k baht fine is nothing. Let's up the fines so they hurt 30 40 k start with charges and blacklist in passport so other countries can see. Imagine being Canadian and stuck choosing Dominican Republic or staying in Canada while your friends are travelling to different countries
