I did not say that he would divest himself of the party. As he showed while in exile, he can still control the party, just not in as vocal a manner. I do agree, though, that BJT, PTP and a lot of other parties are completely reliant on their financial benefactors. PPP and teh military parties less so. Military is backed by more thanone person and is more broader in support.

I suggest that your son find a good-paying job as soon as possible. Once he does that, he can start his own savings plan. Consider that if you work at a company that has a Provident account but the job is crap, he will possibly be stuck there. Also, the accounts that they put the money into are the Thai stock exchange. To me, the best thing he or she can do is save money, then buy a property that they can rent out The idea is to gain cash flow so that you are not beholden. The old adage of Go to school, get a good education Get a good job at a company with a pension plan You are set for life is no longer valid Especially here.

Can Fiction Capture Pattaya’s Bar Scene Honestly?

I would take a trip to Pattaya or Bangkok and talk to the girls. Many are willing to talk about what they are doing and why as long as you are buying drinks lol. -
Thai bar girls throwing Roman Salutes
kingstonkid replied to NorthernRyland's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Thais are not taught very much about the outside thailand world, especially history. Most of the history lessons are aboout Bhudda and the country (minus Kanchanburi) As to the bar girls, they have very little knowledge of English. They hear a song with a good beat, and they like it. I was in a major mall and the Thais were playing rap music and the main son had F this and mother F and b!thes. I asked the Thais why they liked it and if they knew the words' meaning, and none had a clue. reminds me of -
Yep, add in that supposedly she's knocked up. The story can't get any better. Wonder if Georgia will take custody of the child or if they will let the parents. Goes into court in a crop top and shorts, mmmm, going to be interesting to see the deal her Georgian lawyer makes. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/breaking-bella-culley-claims-shes-35222771

In all honesty, I think that unless, like you, a person has some skin in the game, they really do not care. Most countries have enough crap happening in their own borders that they really do not care what is happening outside. You have family living in Thailand, therefore, yes, you will care to that extent. However, unless people are coming here or have been here and are thinking of coming back, they do not care about Asia, which is south of China.

Actually I think the reverse is true. I think inorder to remove Thaksin frm being a pain in hte assets, they will find him guilty. People in the system that have already been compensated will be held responsible Either putting him in jail or letting his jet leave the country would not be a bad thing, nor would charging his daughter and removing her as PM.. The deal, then, is to keep the party alive and therefore the government. The sad part is that we might end up with PM Anutin

The eliltes that run everything I think do not want a coup It is the last thing that they need. Chan O went a little too far and the elites and military are paying for it in the form of the PPP. Any overt action by the military will only strengthen the PPP and those against the military, in that it would further upset the PTP (red) supporters and the PPP orange. Add to that that the PTP has again become the cause of the country's trouble and the lack of direction on the 10K or making life better for Thais. The best thing that could happen right now is that Thaksin get the message that he is a dinosaur and goes to play with he grandkids, let his daughter either develop a plan to help the country, or if she is not able, then for her to resign as PM and put someone in. No one, including the PPP, has come forward with a plan to help the country. The party that makes a plan that can be vetted by experts will emerge from this alive or growing.

That is why you have TCAS and entrance exams for Matayom 1 and 4. They tell a greater story. It is also why most businesses will ask for a copy of the transcripts of their marks. Teachers pass them but usually not more than a 55 out of 100 or a 2.5 That is the sign that they were social passed. Besides that, give them a written interview test and math test, and most will fail if they do not have their phone to use.

quietly do things Actually, I don't think the rest of the world outside of ASEAN really cares, they consider Thailand 3rd world and have enough to worry about in their own countries The olny thing they get excited about is when their aides says "sire madame the Prime minister of Thailand is on the phone." Great amount of laughing

I think if it were not for a fear of the PPP that this would have happened. The issue is that Thaksin got inon a sweet heart deal that allowed him back to be here and QUIETLY do things however as with past lives he has over layed his cards. The reasoning that he feels so safe has nothing to do withPTP and everything to do with the fact that the ELITES fear the PPP. Their Dem party is dead The military parties are a farce and ot being taken seriously BJT has not revealed that it can exist outside of areas that Chidchob has financial influence. Also, the Senate is under fire, so it is not guaranteed that it will be around to stop any PPP bills. Military take overs are out becuse the people do not trust the military and would protest and out the leaders. Therefore they have to look at how long they can stand the taste of Thaksin in their food before it makes their political meals unpalateble. The time is getting near the country is in a mess and tehre is ot Prime Minister that can act as a leader. If BJT can build a coalition to at least make a minority government supported on ethical grounds by the PPP, then I think Thaksin goes, as well as his daughter and possibly the party. But it is a lot to ask

Report Thai Schools Struggle with New Literacy-Based Curriculum Shake-Up
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The failure is not so much in the young 20-30 age teachers as it is in the system and what the teachers are taught and their training once they get to the schools. The idea that they are starting this system in the anuban to P3 is good in that they are usually young, new teachers. All the best to them and I also like the idea that it is skill-based. I just hope that there is an overseeing group that is going to test the validity of scores from the schools If the government schools can get a grip on this it will be a great help. -
Report Thai Schools Struggle with New Literacy-Based Curriculum Shake-Up
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The challenge is going to be how many teachers know the subject and have the literacy in Tai and math lol They should give an english literacy test to Thai teachers who are supposed teaching English -
Thumbs you have probably hit the nail on the head. China does organized tour groups. Who benefits from them Possibly Siam Paragon and big box luxury stores Alcazar and tiffany's because they can look after th tours Bus lines The government gets some tax dollars and can say Look, our tourism numbers are up. Proof of that is if anyone has been out in a tourist area like Walking Street, the temples, or Phra Tamnak Mountain Viewpoint. They go in a group, get off the bus, walk around, take pictures, then get on the bus. LOL The average thai business gets nothing out of these tours or visitors. It is the same in every country.

Democrats to Biden: Step Aside So the Party Can Move Forward
kingstonkid replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The challenge is not that president Biden wants to talk it is the President Jill still wants all the oney to stay at the lifestyle and the power. It is not about how great joe is she knows that isnever going to happen but it is to stickit to the DNC for the way they treated Joe and hung him out to dry. It is about the MSM and all these writers all of a sudden writing about ow bad he was after spending 4 yers tellng poeple how great he was. She is going to run him around, write her book, and release it just before the midterms. If I were Nancy or Chuck I would be ducking for cover. -
As long as there is a Kashmir and a disputed line of control, there will be issues with both countries. The only solution that might be viable is independence for Kashmir, but then there would still be the guerrilla inference. This is a pat of the world that India and Pakistan as well as fringe groups will fight over and will cause tension between the 2 countries. The only question is what the U.S. gave Pakistan as a peace offering.

Report Doctors in Hot Water: Police Probe Looms Over Thaksin Case
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Don't you hear that private jet warming up. I wonder if he will take his daughter within or let her hang. The PTp will surely die if he goes to court. As with everything he overestimated the thai people they are no longer the sheep he new and loved. The country is no longer red and yellow. It's truly orange and young and educated people are watching -
