Bangkok's New Plan: Beat Traffic with a Congestion Charge
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
There are a few challenges. 1. how doyou collect the fees people are already ignoring speeding tickets and still able to get their licence renewed. 2. Where are all these people going topark their cars. BTS parking is already full. 3 congection on the BTS is huge we saw it withthe free week. They need to add more trains to the routes which will also cause congestion. 4. If you just make it interesections people will take alternate routes. -
Pattaya’s Mass Tourism Strain: Overcrowding and Ecological Harm
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I really do not think there is a way to make more roads in the tourist part of pattaya. The one thing they might add is garbage baskets along the side of the street and the beach. I am glad they have been able to solve the sand problem at least the beach looks good. It might be an idea for them to take areas that are not developed and make them bus stops and tourists have to walk abit -
Outdated 2-5pm Alcohol Ban Faces Renewed Criticism in Thailand
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That part of the law I will agree with it makes no sense. But then again if you are in a tourist area there is not ban or time you can not buy. I wonder what would change in Pattaya and pat pong if they changed the rules as NANA and Cowboy are in fulll sale mode. Would that mean that walking street bars would be open at 2 pm with girls looking for quick time LOL -
Say what you want about Donald but his comment got the result he wanted. The Arab world is meeting now to discuss how to avoid getting involved with the U.S. The TRUMP effect works. You have to believe. https://apnews.com/article/egypt-gaza-arab-summit-trump-16697d5c6671b5edeb0d864901fe7edc Remember, everything is a negotiation. In this case, it was do you want Israel and the U.S. to rebuild Gaza? We are ready to do so. OR do you want to get off your \assets and fix this? Same with the U.N., they start to see all that money disappearing and have to fly coach instead of 1st class.

Thailand Rolls Out Free Condoms to Teens for Safe Valentine’s
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why are Thai girls not introduced to berth control methods, and get proper education not from the old 60 year old bat or the young 22-year-old barbie girls The challenge is that the girls cannot turn or get assistance anywhere. Thailand needs a Sunday night Sex with Sue call-in show. Imagine if a TV station promoted that with the same rules that Sue Johansen had, HIV/'STD screening should be free and available to all teens starting at Mat 1. Being teen girl in Thailand to me is worse than being a teen girl in the 60's and 70's in Canada. Can you imagine girls going to mom to talk about sex when she really only has the 2 minute 3-inch wonder and the OLD school taboos to go by Maybe that would be a good job for some of the older Bar girls sex education for girls in Nat schools so they know what they are getting into. -
Photos of Monk With Woman on Jomtien Beach Spark Controversy
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
You have to think that there is some rule in the books against impersonating a MoNK. Then again, anyone can go to a monastery and become one. The ability of people to post trivial things on FB or other sources is rediculous. Makes me wish we were back inteh pre FB era where word of mouth was the only means. how much of the crap we get fed here as news would really be news. -
Thailand Debates Costly Move to Relocate Capital from Bangkok
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Pakistan did the move it works but you have to take your time. Start relocating minor government agencies first. Remember that while you move the agencies there are all the people in those agencies that have to sell homes at a loss and buy new at new location Housing market will die. -
Bars in Thailand Set to Close This Week for Buddhist Holiday
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Some bars will still be open just selling non alcoholic drinks. We in the west used to have the same rules about liquor sales on Christian days -
It sounds like Mom and Dad are washing their hands of her. If you overstay you usually pay the fine and leave on 10 day. N muss no fuss But to lock up someone and the way it is written it is long term. I would think that for 10 days, they would simply hold her in Pats, get the money sorted, and take her to Swampy instead of IDC for normal. BUT She then returned to Thailand but failed to renew her visa. Despite her past success as a model, reports claim she is now stranded with no money for a ticket home after falling out with her parents. Some Russian news outlets suggest she worked as an escort, a claim her family strongly denies. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/russian-beauty-queen-faces-grim-future-in-notorious-thai-prison

I heard the government was gong to give Fuji the contract for its computer software. I can't wait to see the screaming and yelling when he tries to do this in the country taking farm land or just outside some the small villages. Also you know nothing is going to be built anywhere near people that have money.
-
Considering that there is a window that she could simply pay the fine and go on with things I again think whoever wrote this trash is missing the PLOT. There is a reason other than overstay that she got busted. Also, if Mom and Dad are so worried, why are they not wiring money to pay the over and buy her a ticket home?
