  1. If they ever get them in stock !

I was referring to paying for the Gold or Platinum packages as being double what CTH charged, when one adds in the receiver rental, and the extra payment for the football, if one has the Gold package.

  2. Has anyone actually got one of these new "football only" boxes ? Our local shop are STILL waiting to get them in stock, and keep trying to talk us into getting the Gold or Platinum packages instead. I'm seriously thinking about not bothering with football on TV, if it's going to be twice the price of what I paid CTH. It isn't the cost, it's the principle. Why pay double for a service that isn't as good ?

Hopefully we'll get a bit of sunshine, and I'll be Dark Green !   :D

  4. We finally got one of the cars out of our flooded road today, and went to our local TrueVision shop in town. We were told that we could rent the box, for 390 baht per month, and then get all of the Football they provide, for a further 399 Baht per month. (789 Baht total). They do not have any boxes in, though, they are expecting them late next week. We weren't given the option to buy the box. We have found previously that our local shop generally has different offers to everywhere else, (no idea why !), so please don't shoot the messenger, if this deal doesn't apply where you live ! The shop is quite often wrong, when they check up with head office, but we have been unable to get an answer to any phone calls we've made to Truevision's helplines, to confirm with them what we were told this morning.

  5. I believe the True plug in and play digital box will give you access to all football leagues and cups they show for 399bhat! Does sound and amzing deal, but it is for footy only and no other sports I believe. I imagine most of the other channels available are only Thai.

I'll be amazed if that's the price. It would suit me though, I don't want any of the movie or "Entertainment" channels, they have way too many adverts for my liking ! My wife is under the impression that all satellite companies must show the basic Thai Channels 3, 7, etc for free, as it is a legal obligation - hope she's right, she'll be lost without her soaps ! :)

  6. Bought a Moov and Xiaomi on Lazada and its as good as the Fitbit only +- B 700 and B 630 respectively(depending on the discount you get on Lazada, prices are also coming down fast). At these prices you can buy +- 9 knock offs for price of a Fitbit.

Sadly, my really slow internet doesn't seem to like Lazada ! I''ll try having a look though.

  7. Must admit, I'm sceptical on the 399 Baht part too, unless it is all in SD ! The advert also seems to state that the football is in addition to renting the satellite receiver. I could see True getting a lot of new customers if they did do that, but they've never been slow to charge whatever they could get away with, in the past.

  8. 399 Baht a month ? Really ? Does one get all the football for that, Premier League, Spanish League, Champions League,Europa League ? I'm not personally bothered about the French, Italian or Thai leagues or about the Movie or "Entertainment" channels.

    Use ilikehd.com

sign up and then pay 3 bht for 2 hours, 40b for 3 hrs, 50b for 5 hrs, all the international sports channels you want. including these Bein ones.

Pay at the 7-11 or online with K-Bank online etc.

Sadly impossible with the current Internet speed available in our village ! Hoping to get a better one soon.....but they've been promising improvements for several years now..

  9. Just had a look at Truevisions present prices - Gold is half as much again as CTH, and Platinum is over 2000 Baht ! And not all channels are HD ! Daylight robbery.

Much cheaper than Sky in the UK.

One can hardly expect to pay the same prices in both countries. The system here is vastly inferior to Sky's in the UK.
