  1. Does anyone know if it possible to buy Kung <deleted> / Karate equipment in Pattaya, for example practice Nunchakus, the light kind so that my students (family members), don't hurt themselves practicing ? Or practice swords, preferably wooden ?

Is there a gym in Pattaya I can join for while I am staying there, (just for a few days) ?

Thank you for any and all replies.

  2. Hi, We are coming down to Pattaya for a few days, and I'd like to get some stocks of these UK foods and sweets if possible.
    Looking for :
Suet Dumpling mix - preferably vegetarian,
    Tate & Lyle Golden Syrup,
Brussels Sprouts, preferably fresh not frozen, we live a long way from Pattaya
Pot Noodles - the kind available in the UK, preferably curry flavour
    Tins of New Potatoes
    Grapefruits
    Dime Bars
    Bassetts Sherbert Fountains
Pea Soup - preferably Ainsley Harriott packet variety.
    Tins of Rice Pudding

Thanks for any and all replies, much appreciated.

  3. I update my UK will by email, with my Solicitor in England. I did the original in this way too, I had two people I know in my village (who can read and write in English), witness it for me.

  4. It is against Thai law to be here without a valid passport. Which is why people are allowed to submit a copy of their passport for renewal to Hong Kong. I renewed my UK passport last year, (via Hong Kong), only took a few weeks. Read the advice carefully for the forms, black pens ONLY are allowed, and the photo background is very important, I had mine done at a local photographic shop, they adjusted the background colour on their computer.

  5. My Sky TV only completely lost the signal once Stoneyboy, when The Boro got to the FA Cup Final, but the rain on Teesside was the worst I can ever remember that day! Seem to remember it went off quite a lot when it snowed, though.

My CTH reception seems to vary, The Australian Network channel seems to go off quite a lot even in just heavy cloud, but it's also been completely OK when it rained - what's that about ?? :)

  6. I'm confused, (which admittedly happens a lot). Are we now back on the "normal" competition of posting our scores with "Bankers" denoted by a "B" next to the score, and forgetting all about this prediction stuff ?

May I offer a vote of solidarity, and thanks to Mr Bojangles, who gives up his free time to run this competition for our benefit ? I am confident that everything is above board, and feel it is churlish to criticise.

  7. We didn't have any of the problems Santisuk had. We're in Phetchabun, the installer was supposed to come Monday, but phoned Sunday and asked if he could do the satellite install a day early. Really professional job, all done in a little under 2 hours.

CTH seems to have better quality HD picture than True Visions, and so far we're very pleased with CTH. Price same as paid by Stoneyboy, included fitting a new dish ( I'd read on here of some companies using the True dish, but this company didn't). 4300 Baht total price, includes the first months rental payment of 899 Baht.

Very satisfied customer so far, with the added bonus no more True Visions - they have messed us around something awful, especially as we were customers for over 11 years, glad to be rid of them.

  8. Had mine installed today, I can echo Stoneyboy's comments', very professional job, again I paid 4300, and I am paying monthly.

The picture on CTH seems a lot better than that on TrueVisions to me, can't wait to dump True, their service to me has been awful.

Thanks again to Stoneyboy for the information on the shop, and all help given. :)
