I doubt whether the government will ever want it lifted....:whistling:

Don't forget, all these restrictions are mainly made for the money-making of a special group - near to the general and his cronies.

Do you think that the money for a 14/15 day-quarantane-invoice from government selcted (specified)  hotels will only "land" on the  bank accounts of those hotels??? The prices are so high because of .......  you guess it!  Only 1 example of many.

Yessir - that's the difference between a genuine leader and a pupit of the far left such as Biden.

"Yessir", stupidity will never die, espially in the USA .......  as proven hereby and other TRUMP-posters in this thrtead.

Religion and politics have something in common:  belief !!!

And belief is  ---->  NOT knowing (the facts) !!!

But you miss the point. I am not talking about implementing this idea NOW while the dire COVID19 travel restrictions exist, but in the FUTURE when I presume at some point this will all be history? Or will it?

    :cheesy::cheesy:

The "FUTURE" has already started !

Thailand will never have 40m tourists again. Therefore you should not warry about Thailand's "FUTURE",  ..........  maybe a military future again :shock1:

Let's be realistic: What do retirees contribute to Thailand? A little money, probably a lot less than tourists.

And at the same time some retirees create headache and cost for Thailand like unpaid medical bills.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that you and many others like to live her. But look at it from Thailand's point of view.

And Thailand is not unique in that way. Many (all?) countries are more interested in experts for their expertise and tourists for their money.

A 2-4 week tourist "contributes" more money than a retiree ????

Where did you read this fairy tale?

  5. Paying for a promotion or a guide? :cheesy:

Never in my life. I've travelled to many Asian countries, including Nepal and China(3x) - never had a human guide, but good guide-books. It worked excellently. You are never influenced by the money or other interests. You have a much better chance to observe the real life, if you don't need the 5-star hotels.

Even nowadays, in the smoky season here in the remote North we leave Thailand or rent a bungalow in the nice and quiet area in the South of the Thakiap in Hua Hin. For that we don't need a "promotion". The life quality there is a (unpaid) promotion for us.

Which problems would be solved ?

    5555555, you don't know???

    • absolute undemocratic behaviour
    • military behaviour (I'm the general and you minions have to obey me)
    • criticising the PM not allowed (military manner)
    • buying very expensiv "tools" (ships) for the military when the poor people need support
    • not taking care for the people hit by  Covid-19
    • no real demeocratic election; suddenly parties with only 30k could win a seat in the parliament. Was manipulated. The small parties then had to vote for him - in return.
    • manipulated election. 250 Senat members not elected, but appointed by Prayut (very "democratic")
    • Future Forward Party had been dissolved. Therefore being hindered to build a coalition government with real democratic parties.
    • a putsch general par excellence
    • no oath as MP

The list goes on and on.

And you don't know all these problems? What a shame that somebody must show you Prayut's problems.
