The point being, as others have pointed out, you don't know what you're talking about.
OK I will take the bait.
Which of my posts or parts of my post have you taken umbridge with?

And your point being Farah???????????

A lot of sinks have 2 holes for taps even though only 1 tap may be connected.
And as I said, in the case of a lever tap it can be connected in the wrong orientation.
If you only have one pipe ie. cold water you can put it in any hole you like there is no wrong one!!!
The orientation of the tap lever has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with whether the tap is
connected to the water system correctly or not does it???
There are very very few sinks in Thailand ( porcelain at least ) with more than one tap hole.
Stainless you can make as many holes as you wish if you have the tooling.
Are you another long distance keyboard warrior????

Put in the wrong side of the sink (left instead of right)
Put it on the hot water inlet instead of the cold water inlet.
For lever taps, have the lever 90 degrees in the wrong direction (while the other tap is in the correct direction!!)
The clue is in " 99.9% of Thai households only have cold water taps "
Therefore 99.9% of the sinks only have one hole for the tap.
Therefore 99.9% don't have hot water inlets or outlets to connect wrongly.....
My question was " I would be interested to know how a single cold water tap
could be connected up the wrong way? "
There is no wrong side if the sink only has one hole.
It is not possible to connect to a hot water pipe that does not exist.

This Thai company produces personalised packages http://www.srithaifood.co.th/eng/product_seasoning_04.php
Customers seem to be big chains - but could be worth a phone call.
Another Indian company ... http://www.wrapperindia.com/packaging-sachet.html
The cost of these personalised sachets/tubes seems prohibitively high for a small business (not that I am any sort of business expert).
How about naming the coffee shop Tate & Lyles - or some other name that is already printed on readily available sachets/tubes - I'm only half joking.
Thanks again CL will have a look at them but the name change thing is a no no you would
not believe the problems we had because of our phone number change!!!

You could be right grollies, I am just at the enquiry/discussion stage at the moment and have not yet
made an order.
I just had a quick look at your link and I will get the missus(boss) to give them a call, thanks
She called them grollies and they don't do personalisation/customisation.

I would think that you'd have to bulk-buy personalised sugar sachets and unless you've got a chain of shops it's not going to be cost effective.
Jock, have you tried these guys?

Is 10,000 a high quantity? At 100 sachets per day; as an example; that is 3 months supply. For printed material the initial set-up costs inflate the unit price. This falls if more units are ordered.
Does not seem very high but you need to double it for white and brown sugar so in reality
the minimum is 20,000.
You are a bit off on our daily consumption we would love to have 100 sachets a day flying
off the shelf but it is less than half that in the real world, 30 to 40.

Could you not just ask them to send a small amount over in a dummy run so to speak? they don't even have to be personalized, see if they are pulled up for whatever reason? if they are then you have lost a small amount on postage and packaging.
That is my intended next step if no joy with this thread thanks sc

You could try contacting these people (UK) ... http://www.sachetsdirect.com/
or this one (India) ... http://www.mawanafoods.com/brands/sugar/personalised-sugar-sachets/
Thanks CL I am currently in discussion with sachets direct and they asked me if i could find out about
importing their sachets into Thailand as they have never sent anything to here before, hence my op.
I will have a look at your other links again thanks for the pointers.
I probably should have been a bit more explicit in my op I was hoping for some info on importing and tariffs etc. if there are any such charges? Is it ok to import sugar or not?

I would be grateful if anyone had any info at all on the ins and outs of trying to
do this for my wife's restaurant/coffee shop?
I posted this in general without much luck hoping for better luck here.

It's a (deleted) coffee shop, not a Hilton or Sheraton.
I don't even know where to start with an attitude like that????
I may be wrong but it would seem that you think professionalism
is only for large hotel chains and should not be pursued by pissing
little coffee shops. I assume you are not in any kind of service
venture here then?

Thailand is a major producer of sugar, why would you want to import it ?
I am sure you could find a manufacturer here that would package in sachets
with your artwork if the quantity warranted it,
regards worgeordie
Been down that road geordie the cost is astronomical and the minimum quantities
crazy. ( 10,000 )
32 minutes ago, grollies said:buy glass jars with stainless steel lids and a nice little sugar spoon.
sugar sachets are so UK B&B gauche. bit like the butter portions in the plastic tiny tubs and sachets of nescafe coffee.
come on.
I was actually hoping to get some info more on the lines of if it was possible and if not
why not?
I have generally found when doing business that you are more likely to be successful if
you give people what they want or like rather than what you think is more convenient for
you.

Sure, those are the double kitchentaps for hot and cold...you can put the one for hot on the other side and it opens the other way around. The valves are screwed into the the unit at both sides and if you do it wrong they turn the other way to open.
I believe this is where you claimed they were kitchen taps no?
4 hours ago, fruitman said:I didn't claim they were kitchen mixers but yes they also sometimes work the wrong way in thailand..
And what difference does it make if i tell i live in BKK??
I never mentioned BKK but you still have not told us if you are even in Thailand.
4 hours ago, Don Mega said:My house has mixer taps in both bathrooms and the kitchen, I doubt my landlord imported them.
Good for you Don you will be one of the 0.01% in Thailand with mixer taps then............

Do you even know what Homepro is?
Mate i'm done with this subject.
Homepro, homeworks, Thai watsadu know them all very well I have renovated
over 7 condos here in Thailand, but I have never fitted mixer taps in any of them.
You are still avoiding the question. Are you actually in Thailand? And are we talking
about KITCHEN mixer taps which was your original claim???
Grollies you are correct but the op is not about electrics either.....

Never heard of that planet but mixer taps and valvetaps are very common in BKK. All the qualitybrands from Europe are being sold here.
Haha That's because it doesn't exist get it?
You have still failed to confirm you are talking about KITCHEN taps IN Thailand??
Are you actually even in Thailand?

Yes i lived in a condo with mixer taps. A hi-so condo it was, very nice....all teakwood furniture.
But as i wrote also single coldwatertaps can have these valves, brands like Grohe use them.
Just go to Homepro and they have loads of those taps, mixers or single taps.
They even sell the Grohe set temperature automatic mixer taps...cost around 30k baht or so.
Planet Zod then..................30k for a tap in Thailand dream on and you still have not confirmed we are actually talking about Kitchen taps IN Thailand, your original claim??
