  1. When I frst started playing professionally at 18, my first Bass was a Gibson EB4, it was a great bass guitar to play, but lacked the good looks of the Fender Jazz, Precision and Mustang.
  2. I believe you are talking about Thai people, so yes! You are 100% right.
  3. I go out on my bike, pushbike, every day for exercise and nearly every day I have to avoid motorcyclists riding up the wrong side of the road, pulling out in front of me without looking etc. The thing is when I shout at them they are that stupid they don't realise that they are in the wrong and they shout back with their faces twisted in anger. The daily amount of motorcyclist deaths and injuries on the road backs me up when I go on about the stupidity of the majority of Thai people, and yes, I mean the majority.
  4. An Australian I was talking to some years ago would sum up what this post is all about. I certainly would not like to live in Australia the way it is today. Here in Thailand I have known quite a few Australians over the years and have never met an undesirable one, the same would apply to Americans, pity the same could not be said about a very small minority of European and British people.
  5. Does it not start from the Generals, Lt/Cols, and Maj/ Gens and all the other fancy ranks that are bought and paid for?
  6. There is nothing wrong with laws and rules as long as they are there for a good reason and not just for certain people the weild their power.
  7. Closing times and opening times are nothing to do with peoples safety. They can open 24 hours a day if the safety rules are adhered to.
  8. A very easy question to answer, so I will answer it in only two words, brown envelopes.
  9. If he wants to show off his disgusting body he might as well have the decency to wear a bra.
  10. Don't mind cats and squirrels, but I hate wind and rain in that order.
  11. Not in Scotland, I was there May, June and July, had to wear a hoody every time I went out, about 90% of the time it was up. Not a lot of rain, but windy just about every day. In saying that, the rain has been dreadful here in Thailand ever since I came back.
  12. Yes, it's about time the unelected PM and his junta did something about this. Can't he instruct the police Maj/Gens, and Lt/Cols to get their men off their backsides and do something about this? OH! Wait! Brown envelopes spring to mind again.
  13. Are you a retiree? Do you travel out of the country anytime? Are you a tourist under 50 who wants to stay long time in Thailand? If you are a retiree who just lives a quiet life in Thailand then I don't suppose it will bother you too much even if the next Thai adult who walks past your house becomes the next PM, he/she will probably have much the same mentality.
  14. Gilbert O'Sullivan was dreadful, terrible voice and song writing ability. How he had any hits I just cannot understand. "Oh Wakka doo Wakka day?? What does that mean?? Is that what one would call song writing ability?? As for his singing, I've heard a better noise flushing the toilet.
  15. They would have major protests in the streets if it was not for the unelected PM's soldiers and guns.
  16. DPM Prawit claims Prayut may be able to stay on as Thai PM for 2 more years In that case god help us all. That is all we need, a continuing Junta in this Banana Republic of Thailand.
  17. A very sensible post, but I still think the owners should have been more responsible and thought about the customers as well as the profits.
  18. As long as the unelecterd PM, the other Chuckle Brother and the rest his Junta are there, that will be the case.
  19. I think you will find that the truth is "Gathering outside is forbidden" as it could be dangerous for getting rid of unelected PM's and illegal governments.
  20. Probably, the unelected PM will have his soldiers and guns at the ready.
  21. Are there any properly qualified sparkies in Isaan? I live in central Thailand in a small town, my wife has lived in it all her life, she only knows one sparkie and he is always busy, so in the meantime the main sockets in the kitchen are not working so when anyone in the house is cooking I have run a junction box from another outlet in the kitchen to the cooking area. Fortunately we have a bottled gas cooker. It would seem that qualified sparkies are very few and far between in Thailand.
  22. Common sense and the unelected PM and his soldiers are not compatable.
  23. Perry Como was my favourite when I was in primary school and Elvis was just starting out.
