Maybe they want to discourage people who come in simply to ogle "the check out chicks."
I have been to the Amway store in Chiang Mai a number of times. Ummm, the checkout chicks are not worth ogling and quite often it is a guy.

We used an number of Amway products in Australia since about 1980. When we came here we went to an Amway store and discovered you needed to be a member to buy from the store. Don't need to be a member to buy from a distributor. A lady standing nearby signed us up as members and we just go buy what and when we want.
Most of their products are great and some seem to be overpriced but as I said we have been using since 1980 and appreciate the quality so I don't mind taking the time to fill in a form and pay 100 baht.

I use SmartDNS with True, but I also had it working with the neighbours 3BB in the past, it has to be setup correctly though. Ch 7 in Oz have the rights so you can view it on: https://7plus.com.au/live-tv
Part of the setup you need to do is set your computers clock to Eastern Australian std time, ie 3 hours ahead of here and set you location as Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Thanks for that.
SmartDNS did not work for me on 3BB. VPN company support helped me but no luck.
Wife managed to find BBC1 broadcasting it so uses her iPad to send to Apple Tv and hence TV

Hi all,
Anyone set up for viewing the Commonwealth Games in Thailand?
Tried VPN before but won't work with 3BB due to them DNS hijacking. Did ask for help around that on a previous thread but no one was able to help.
Any ideas on viewing much appreciated by my wife.

Just in case of what?
In case he did cry. Better on a day time flight than an overnight one.

Bad for the baby. Distressing and painful and bad for other passengers.
I was lucky taking my 17 month old son to Australia. Sat on my lap from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and not a word. Laid on the 2 empty seats beside me from Bangkok to Brisbane, again not a work or whimper. You could see both times coming into landing bothered his ears bit but no problems. In fact I heard the people behind me say a fair way into the flight say "oh there is an infant there". Only because they had seen him. And I did take the daytime flight just in case.
Thanks Raymond.

Anyone found the so called bot for Line?

Realised this morning I had to update my Commonwealth Bank account in Australia. Phoned them and verified a few personal details, phone number changed in less than 5 minutes and NO paperwork.

Do you know why the Pink Page changed to the Yellow Pages? Another fascinating story.
Pink pages originally owned by westerners then bought out by the chinese. hence colour change?

Nah, she is the violent one. From the last incidence I even got lots of witnesses who could prove that.
...Yeah I thought so too: Get in touch with police beforehand and get the right number. Police station is right around the corner.
I just wanna avoid getting police involved by all means.
cheers!
Had a similar situation myself. Called police. They would not do anything because we were "married" Definitely not married and she only stayed sometimes and had her own room and police still not interested.
Good luck.

Didnt know you were a doctor.
I am not and didn't say I was. I said doctors know the difference. Which is more than I can say about certain people.

each year it is something different. I wish they would not allow ice. That is actually very rude and can cause great harm. NO ICE rule.
Agree. Hate Songkran for the ice water.

Does the baby even need to go to the Embassy ?
Dont think they have to, when getting a UK PP
Don't know about a UK passport but my son didn't need to for an Australian one. He had to have a DNA test done for his Citizenship.

I think the doctors know the difference between a cold and a runny nose.

Totally Agree 100%
I went through the same process with Bangkok Bank recently when I changed my mobile number... I signed about 10 odd pages of forms that one of the branch staff filled out for me... Waited about 2 weeks to get my new login ID username (ibanking) sent to me via sms to my new mobile number, and about a week later a new PIN password was sent to my girlfriends address that gave me access to online banking again. All in all you will be looking at a 3 week turnaround for the whole process to be completed, after which you can change your login ID and password/PIN once logged in...
With respect to the yellow bank Krungsri... it was a lot easier... once logged in either online via web or using their app, you could make the changes yourself instantly...
It may take longer with Bangkok Bank but most importantly your funds are still secure and you can still access most functions via debit card or in branch whist waiting for your new ID/PIN
regards AJ
Actually, very surprisingly, I just received an email and new number is now working. So only 2 business days. Thank BBL.

For what its worth:
An airplane is no place for a newborn. Many planes use recirculated air, which means that if one person has a cold, his germs are broadcast throughout the plane by the ventilation system. That's no problem for adults, whose mature immune systems can fight off germs. But an infant's immune system is no match for some of the viruses and bacteria that float around on airplanes and in airports. Might be best practice to wait until your baby is at least 2 months old--and preferably 4-6 months old--before taking a flight.
Just saying.....
Yes you are right. My son of 17 months ended up with a cold after the flight. Maybe from the flight maybe not.

Can I ask what of the mother now, can you get her to Oz or is that proving to difficult, or can you or doesn't she want to go ?
Thanks for that.
The mother never got her passport and in fact does not have a true ID. She has no idea of anything and has waned money on trying to get. She didn't want the baby and in fact neglected him to a point of him being around 35% underweight. At that point I took him from her to get his weight back up. At my age and finances and his medical condition I could not take care of him. So he is now in foster care in Australia really being well look ad after and the medical system is taking great care of him.
It was an extremely hard decision for me and I miss him very much but he didn't have much of a chance here. This is the 2nd child the mother has basically abandoned.

I changed my phone number with Bangkok Bank about a year. For this change did "not" need to go to the branch I opened the accounts at. Just need to go to "a branch;" not the branch you opened the account at. See below from Bangkok Bank webpage.
I'm in Bangkok...the branch I opened my accounts at is the main branch in central, highrise Bangkok on Silom Rd in the same building at the HQ Bangkok Bank building.
I just went to a Bangkok Bank branch a nearby mall in western Bangkok, filled out the one page form which a copy of my passport main page was attached to....and "maybe" a copy of the passbook(s) front page. The branch did their thing on the form/signature/etc.,..then said it would take 3 to 4 business days for the change to take effect since they had to send it to a Bangkok Bank central processing point.
Approx 3 days later my phone number is indeed updated and I'm fully back online for various transaction related to my Bangkok Bank ibanking.
Yes, if you re-read my original post you will see where I went to a branch the second time but the 18 pages still happened whether it should have or not.

Consider this, you're probably fortunate that they don't require you to travel to BKK to apply in person at the bank headquarters office!!!! (Just joking....)
Not so funny. My original account was in Patong Beach before I lived in Thailand. When I moved to Thailand, Chiang Mai to be more specific I opened account here. There was about 1800 baht in the Patong Beach one. After a couple of house moves I "lost" the passbook and ATM card for the Phuket account. I reported them as lost and the card and book were stopped. Anyhow before a trip to Phuket I found the book. So I took it on my trip to Patong and went into the branch where the account was opened. I wanted to transfer the balance and close account. I was informed that the book was reported lost and I had to get a police report. I said I found the book so why need report. Nope I had to get that report. So I asked where police station was. After a little discussion I was told I needed to report my lost book that wasn't lost back in Chiang Mai. End of story.

Some banks allow you to change your phone number in their online banking, of course you have to do this while you still have access to your old phone number
And some banks allow you to change your phone number at the ATM, for this you just need your debit card and pin
Didn't think about it before changing number. Tried via the computer and could change home and work phones if I had but could not change mobile. Didn't try atm.

Does anyone bother shopping at Amway Thailand?
in General Topics
Posted
Like I said used many years and happy with quality and price.
And you don't think normal products you buy are "pyramid" selling? Manufacturer sells to wholesaler who sells to distributer who sells to retailer who sells to you and each one of these have a makeup.
Amway products are at a constant price to customers. Distributors are not allowed to sell at a higher price than other distributors like stores do.
Yes bonuses are built into the price for distributors but so are things built into store prices, store costs, staff costs, theft, insurances, etc, etc. But Amway product prices are generally constant for one year and catalogues are printed with prices. Cant get constant price in store for one year printed on paper.
