  1. i really dont get it.

offering slaughtered pigs heads to buddha ???

buddhas MAIN teaching was about NOT HARMING ANY FORM OF LIFE!!!!

    buddha was a noted Vegetarian!!

how on earth does this woman think she will get any sympathy from any form of buddhist deity by offering the exact opposite of what is taught? !!

offering a dead animal to Buddha is as like spitting at the the bank owners in hope they will cancel her loan.

As long as she didn't kill the pigs herself, she's in the clear with (Thai) Buddha.

  2. Bit counter productive, seems these guys were doing something that could be done from any country, kicking them out the country will not make jobs for Thais, they will just relocate their business, and not be spending money in the Kingdom.

Makes me wonder whether I should holiday in Thailand again, as I have a business and still need to run it even when on holiday.

Running your business while on holiday is one thing; those guys were trying to earn enough to live in Thailand – in a technically illegal way.

  3. China only has one objective, and that is the domination of the SE Asian Nations, in order to secure future food and resources for the masses, and if they can get those Nations to foot 50% or so of the cost incurred in doing that, then fair play to them for playing the game against short sighted countries and their leaders.

China only has one objective, and that is the domination of the SE Asian all Nations. They're nearly everywhere already. Close neighbours first, though.

  4. "BANGKOK: -- Recent incidents in Myanmar and Vietnam offer lessons for the Thai government JUNTA under Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on.........."

Let's do some editing here and get NATION to do a better job of reporting the facts!

Yes, I am a stickler when reading news articles and see incorrect information being splashed on the internet!

You quote an interesting part of this article. Many times since the coup have I read how Thailand doesn't need or want ideas or help from non-thais. So what makes this writer think that Thais would learn something from those countries? Especially when thais also think they are inferior to those countries.

Chinese Thais think the world of them.......after all..that's where their heritage is.

    That is a gross generality.

    I thought that was 144 generals - Thai of course smile.png .

  5. She has remained single so far, done her own thing professionally and personally and is financially independent. Why do you think she is considering you as a long term partner? What do you bring to the table other than as a possible father to her children (if she actually still wants to have any)?

  6. Speaking of Thai/ Laos border, does anyone know how Laos managed to aquire such a large piece of land on the Thai side of the Maekong? I think the Maekong would be the natural border.

Also, until the Mekong has more planned dams on it, the main stream (natural border) continues to move in places. New sand banks appear that can become islands and later merge with the mainland of either side when the course changes again. Land which was once Thai can become Lao and vice versa.

  7. Here is my experience with this kind of person.

Unfortunately, i grew up with both my parent's being alcholics.

There is no real or good way of handling such a person,

other than being blatening honest and straight forward.

Don't let the "we feel sorry for him" take control of your real feeling's of him.

You have to tackle with face to face.

Tell him he "must" leave the group and he is not welcome back,

because of his drinking and his ability to not listen to the group's opinion's.

I wish you all the best of luck. God Bless.

PS...this has to be done while he is sober!

    Definitely ante prandium!
