  1. Makes perfect sense.

Step 1 - buy better machinery with the strong Baht.

Step 2 - man said machinery with low skilled/wage workers...oh damn...they all left to go back to their countries after the immigration crack down.

Step 2.1 - man said machinery with Thai workers at a higher wage

Step 3 - try to sell/export your more expensive goods (due to expensive machinery and higher wages) at a better price then your competitors who have better deals with their own govt.

    Makes perfect sense...right?

an issue city planners blamed on street vendors.

Unless said street vendor is selling sledgehammers and heavy equipment, I don't see how a soup vendor cart could manage to break a sidewalk.

Maybe if the sidewalk was poorly built in the first place, then yes. But that would put the blame on the construction instead of the street vendors.

  3. Why bother? Only foreigners know how to use them. And the expats know better then to stop since they will just get rear ended by the locals who are clueless as to why they have to stop.

Case in point, they even had to use the police to divert the traffic...

  4. The sister should of stepped forward with her proof that Jidarat Promkhun could not be involved, the same day the news broke out (or before then) instead of now. Presenting this proof now, so long after the events took place, just smells fishy.

On the other hand, maybe she did and reporters are only telling us about it now. In which case the news is late in reporting relevant information...
