If they want to clean the Parliament maybe they should start with all the Parliament members first...

Prayut said Vorayuth coming from a wealth family would not influence prosecutors and the OAG’s decisions could always be probed.
I bet this was said with the typical Thai smile #37 - the one they use when everybody knows that the right hand does know what the left hand is doing but chooses to ignore it.

In westernized countries, the rich are often denied bail or the bail is set so high because the court understand that the meaning of 'flight risk' is more likely to apply to the rich then to the poor, unlike Thailand.
I do wonder if Thailand has 2 sets of law books. 1 for the average person and another for the rich/famous/socially high-standing/clergy/etc... Otherwise, why write a law book if you're not even going to use it.

Even if he does show up, the odds are that he will continue to walk away as if nothing happened. We can complain as much as we want but the truth is that this guy will never know what real justice is.
If, by chance, justice is served #30 will be my lottery pick for this coming lottery.

Forget the U.S. or Europe or many place in "civilized" Asia. The answer lies in Singapore with their mix of hawker style food and shops mixed into their skyscrapers.
One could argue that Singapore skyscrapers are nothing compared to Hong Kong, New York, and Tokyo but that is besides the point. I like Tokyo and Seoul with their idea of dedicating whole buildings as places to go for food and shopping but it does lack the feel of street vendors. Something people enjoy in Thailand. Well, some of us at least...

This is so confusing...
Typical in Thailand

I love warnings like these...especially when they don't mention the most important info required e.i. WHEN. When is this freak storm suppose to happen? Today, tomorrow, next week, next month?!?!?

false killer whales ... Better be careful, DSI may run after them for 'copyright infringement'

Cue the jetskis mafia signing

WOW! They must have good money, their signs are correctly translated for once. A rarity in Thailand. LOL

Pretty sure it's Platinum and not Emporium you're talking about. Emporium is on Sukhumvit in Phrompong and Platinum is round the back of Central World.
If you're gonna slag a mall off, try and name the right one instead of slandering one that hasn't done anything wrong.
Absolutely correct. It is Platinum instead of Emporium. I always get their Malls mixed up. Mea culpa. But the original intent of the message remains. They turn a blind eye to all the Malls (named and un-named) that sell all this stuff.
-
Sure...turn a blind eye to all the Thais that invade Emporium Mall on petchaburi road, or the stalls across the street, or the little unnamed mall a few meters away, or...
Let's blame the tourist. So much easier.

I've been putting it off, but perhaps time to get some dash cams. I've got 4 vehicles, so the investment would be X4.
4 times the investment but, 4 times the fun when posting crazy Thai antics on Facebook (or whatever social media of your choosing)

It was bound to be scraped from the start anyways.

Wait a second...there are sidewalks in Pattaya?!?!? Really?
I thought they were alternative roads for motorbikes...

Siamchon News reported the incident saying it had damaged the image of Pattaya.
Should it not read - damaged the already tarnished image of Pattaya?

Glad to hear that the other pilot landed the plane safely. Was beginning to think that Thai pilots were as bad as Thai drivers...

So many accidental electrocution could be avoided if Thais could understand the benefits of proper grounding. Same with saving their electronic toys from unwanted surges.
So easy to install and they already have access to all the necessary equipment to ground their homes/offices/work place/etc...

Now I am confused.
On one hand, they don't want teenage pregnancy -- http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/967946-health-ministry-aims-to-cut-teenage-pregnancy-rate-by-50-percent/ --
On the other hand, they want more babies...
And then the country girls all say that they have to have babies before the age of 25 because it's too late after that. That they would be too old to have babies after 25. With 3 kids being the magic number. Their words, not mine.

I hope he pays them well. If I was a cute girl, the last thing I would want to spend my time doing is watching people eat noodles and making a mess of it.

Welcome to Thailand. Where if you are handsome/pretty, wealthy, popular and/or HiSo you can get away with pretty much anything - including murder.
So happy to see that the BiB did their job so diligently...again.

"not for battle, but so that others will be in awe of us,"
So glad to see that they have their priorities straight.
Maybe they can offer free pad thai and som tam to all navies that catch them in the water during naval exercises. That would certainly awe people.

But doubtless not richer than a Mercedes driver.
Come again? 2017 Prices - C-class Mercedes 2.5m to 4.2m baht (depending on the model) and no import fees vs. BMW i8 12.5m baht + import fees.

17 sounds about normal. 4 for clothes, 4 for accessories, 4 for shoes, 2 for makeup and hair, 1 for underwear, 1 for electronics and 1 for mama noodles and other snack...
Actually, pretty light when you think about it.
Minivan passenger says she was bumped off vehicle for being too tall

I am 188 cm and I have never been refused or bumped passage. Granted, I will wait for the next van if the only seats left are in the last row as those are made for smaller people.
I think something else must of happened to make them want her to leave the mini-van. Something is missing from this story.
