  1. Is he acoustic or electric?? Fetching my coat! https://www.thainationalparks.com/species/rhinobatos-productus
  2. Why did my warped mind immediately think of "Diamonds are Forever" where they throw Plenty out the window into a pool and that old gag about “Good aim!” – “I didn’t know there was a pool there,” (also used in THE WOLVERINE decades later).
  3. It's no secret that my lady was a licenced masseuse working in a Rome (Italy) "Centro Estetico" (Beauty Centre) torturing fat Italian women who were paying >50 Euro an hour for her services (early 2000s). We were introduced by my boss's Thai wife, who I had also known when she was working in the Panda Bar in Wanchai (Hong Kong), it's all a bit complicated. Boss's wife decided that Crossy had "woman problems", he didn't have one, so one was provided. Apparently, I'd been spotted as "a bit of alright" at one of her parties so introductions were made. The rest, as they say, is history. I had some very nice massages whilst we were courting Of course, these dried up once we got married ???? Madam previously worked at the Rome Thai Embassy, we have a photo of her (and other embassy staff) with the current Thai king (he was crown prince at the time). She is now a full-time housewife and granny looking after her animals and plants (I think I fit in the "animals" group, she feeds me).
  4. Noooo, don't tell my grand-daughter, she loves our chooks and would get grand-dad to buy in an instant.
  5. Anything being imported into the country, regardless of age, is potentially subject to duty, the rate depends upon what it is. New, used, gift really makes no difference. Duty will be charged on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value and then VAT on the total. Low value stuff often gets through unmolested, particularly if sent via the regular mail system, use a courier (FedEx, DHL etc.) and you are very likely to get charged. What is it being sent? You can get an idea of the potential cost here https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/
  6. Meanwhile, here in northern BKK we have to wait for the tide to rise and cover our water inlet before we can water the garden ???? This time last year we had water nearly in the house!
  7. I wish! I am younger than the space-age but older than manned space flight! That should narrow it down to within about 4 years ???? Failing that you could look at my AN profile And yes, I'm one of those rare beasties, a farang with a Thai wife who is older than he is.
  8. Some condos limit access only to their favoured providers, it might be an idea to talk to the condo office to see if they have an agreement with a specific service provider. That said, I have a friend who had a similar experience with True earlier this year when getting fibre installed to replace his existing True ADSL. Related anecdote. Some years back we had only dial-up in our area. A provider announced that ADSL was now available (I did say it was a while back). I downloaded the form, filled it in and faxed it back from our office one morning. I intended to tell Madam that I'd ordered internet when I got home. Just after lunch she called me that "a man was there to install internet, did I know about it?". It cannot have been more than a couple of hours after I faxed the form. The provider wasn't True!
  9. My lady (mid 70s) had (very expensive) implants. When she had chemo, bone loss made them all fall out ???? She now has (slightly less expensive) dentures. BTW she's all-clear on the Big-C, down to one CT-scan every 12 months ????
  10. Me too! I also remember Veno's cough syrup, smells and tastes exactly like Jägermeister, which is why I don't drink Jägermeister
  11. I'm assuming our OP has already exhausted the possibility of a fixed line connection hence my use of the word "mobile". If you are having network stability issues, I would talk to your provider.
  12. Yeah, that's a minimum requirement. no problem with an RCBO per circuit.
  13. The idea is that you never lose all power, specifically lighting. The UK like the board split over two RCDs. It's all about safety in the event of a trip.
  14. Do ABB do a compatible "plug-in" unit? @NoDisplayName I'd go with the Schneider unit for a main switch.
  15. Since you are married you can get a 60 day extension to "visit your wife", would that give enough time to ensure your funds are "seasoned"?
  16. Any particular reason you need Starlink here, mobile data coverage is pretty good (EDIT - almost) everywhere.
  17. I've not used these since my British wife ran off with the builder (I'd already paid him for the house extension before discovering she'd also been "paying" him). Best thing that ever happened! Just ordered a few to try on my lady.
  18. it now seems to have "gone away", Chrome did an update, not sure if it was that or Lazada fixed something.
