  1. The powers that be here (lol) will likely be up in arms at this picture because little boy Putin could find out and tell them off, or more than likely because the Thai flag is not held above the dude's head.
  2. Thailand continues to attract a shyster element among the world populace, yes Michael, albeit believe at least one of the beauts in this story is Thai.
  3. Reckon that's why 'women' was in quotes. 😉
  4. Believe it's generally a time constraint thing. These guys are opening up passports in quick order day in, day out... so they can just grab it, open and stamp away. Same in every country, although the 'proper' ones now don't stamp. It can bite them on the ass, though, since their frivolousness could come full circle when they have to sift through pages and pages to find their old stamp. But I agree, infuriating on some small level... perhaps they should be hung, drawn and quartered for skipping pages? 🙂
  5. How's about a hermaphrodite? What's going on, GG?: last week it was cocks, then you were into bums, and now the other. It's all very confusing. However, since you mentioned Jack Lemmon, you have piqued my interest. One of the greatest actors there ever was. As you clearly have an affinity for G's, did you ever see Glengarry Glen Ross? Conspiracy was good, but that was easily the best ensemble cast there has ever been in the history of movie making, and with a next level dialogue to boot! But rather be born a girl? Good god, no. I am in no way a feminist, but the sht they have to go through in this F'ed up world, and then there's childbirth. Blokes would likely never be able to handle that kind of pain. But guys saying they would go full on lezzie if they were a girl probably wouldn't do so, since all the hormones are different such that one might generally find a flange piece unattractive. That could just be me, mind.
  6. Well done. Certainly not the norm, albeit better chance in places with more tourists. A local Krung Thai was fairly keen to open me an account quite recently without visa etc. They showed me the drill down list for what conditions management have deemed necessary to be met. Things could likely be expedited if you know bank staff on high floors. As mentioned, tougher measures are largely to hamper laundering efforts, which is bizarre given the number of cheap Otteri shops nowadays. 😋
  7. Me neither. Seemed harmless enough, and entertaining on occasion... seen far worse over the years, albeit he could have been here from day one in one guise or another of course. Probably already mentioned but your account won't get deleted. Even banned members still mostly have their content left on the servers since it can potentially generate income, while Google generally doesn't like content being removed... the forum owns it as it will say so somewhere if you were to read the smallprint on signing up.
  8. Beat me to it. Also noticed the glaring kok humour 😛
  9. Banks have been ordered to open accounts for foreigners only when certain criteria are met, such as work permit or o visa with cert of residence etc. A tourist visa or waiver will not cut it like it used to, albeit Pattaya will be a better bet than most places if you chance it. As mentioned, try an agent. Siam Legal used to draft letters for 5k, but think they've even stopped that now.
  10. If they were Chinese, it would be a number two. Always a giveaway.
  11. Nice tread. Takes me right back. 🙄
  12. Lol As if this claim of illegal activities by the Thai police would be news to anyone here.
  13. Better off learning English first, the international language. Let Chinese learn English or Thai. Why do they expect others to learn about their culture and language? Surely there’s enough of that influence in the world already? Oh wait, of course, Thailand wants to make a good impression and all that. Enough with the prostrating already. 🥴
  14. Yes it would be. Lock them all up, I say! But won’t happen of course. I mean, look how the last governments have come about. Shambles. It is best to not even concern oneself with such triviality. Keep smiling and let them carry on. Only the Thais can change it.
  15. Thai numbers go round and round. If you let your sim go for a certain amount of time--say, go back home for a year--pretty sure it ends up back in circulation after a time. So, it could be some old acquaintance of Somchai Bloggs or daeng or kiaw or dam or porn or whoever, who had your number before just checking up on them/you.
  16. Oh yes, sorry, I missed that bit. In that case, I think the family should have him committed as he suggests.
  17. Yeh, right. They have been filling up Spanish coffers for decades. Not all Brits are lager louts. There is also middle and upper classed gentry hitting the resort towns, suppin sweet malaga wine while staying in expensive villas. Same for the Germans, across all classes. Millions go there to chill and spend money. Portugal, too. Maybe some devout Catholic mayor has been whispering tat in someone's ear, but this is more likely sensationalist tabloid fluff.
  18. There are cardless atm machines at most banks nowadays... pretty sure you only need the phone, the app will bung you down a code. Labelled CDM or similar.
  19. Srettha's fault for inviting them all over. Get him to ask his best mate, Putin, to haul them back over. I'm sure they would get on well with the Moscow police when painting the walls of the Kremlin.
  20. The Doi Angkhang loop, as mentioned by PoorSucker, is nice. A night in Chang Dao, two at Angkhang... you could cut across to your 'sticky' falls (assuming you mean Bua Thong) on the way back. You could also do the MHS loop in that kind of time, but a lot more arduous driving/riding. Much better on a bike, esp a scrambler type with hybrid tyres.
  21. Another dingbat. Why would they, hundreds of thousands of people hadn’t been killed at that point. Get a grip!
