  1. In Thailand, pretty decent in general. Lived in a respectable neighbourhood in CM for years and the only times I had issue was withy loud, Pattaya-esque farangs (sorry guys) and couple of Koreans. Had the local dwarf Karen walking around bigging it up, but that is about it. I would have Thai neighbours any day to the utter ahole boomers I had to endure in the UK! F a doodle do!
  2. The site has been being 'killed' since its inception, late 2002. Just bung them on ignore if this or that topic shakes you up. My list is huge. This doppelgänger is on it, but I'll let it pass if it looks mildly interesting. 😋
  3. Decent topic by this op for once. Each to their own and alright if you're Grizzly Adams in the Rockies, but beards are small willy issue surely?... cue donkey UK policemen. Most of them nowadays is down to fad. CRINGE! They make you look ten years older, guys, and the women hate them no matter what they tell you. Doubly stoopid in the tropics, but, again, each to their own. Just don't include me in your delusion that you think you look cool.
  4. Aside from genetics, would posit stress, diet and environment are main players in overall health. Stress in particular is really hard on the body. You also cannot perpetually shovel sh,ite into your system and not expect it to bite back, cancer or otherwise. People hold on because they are scared of the possibility of a nothingness, and of course leaving people behind. Not worries about the former. What scares me most is the potential of there being something else and it being worse than the worst that life can throw at you. How far would I want to go? 60 absolute tops.
  5. Careful when quoting yourself online; it is akin to answering oneself back in public.
  6. Really? Might be outside McDonalds but don't think this is generally representative of the local populace. Move around a bit, bro.
  7. Yes, but stroll on. Go and take a chill pill. Life’s too short to be miserable. Truly.
  8. Have also had good experiences with Numatic, various sized units. Great for vaccing sand/gravel out of pool filters and they run and run.
  9. Sounds noisy. Does it wash the floor well?
  10. Four years! Must’ve been a massive relief getting on that plane. 👍
  11. A load of tosh. Propaganda not needed. The figures speak for themselves. China has done it time and again with many African nations. Eagerly await the place to go bankrupt itself.
  12. To be fair, it’s not far off. Don’t lord it up in front of the natives, guys. 😉
  13. It’s doable but not for a wife-beater-wearing mongerer.
  14. Might be yours but smoking on balconies and being a nuisance is not on. I’m pro and will partake on occasion but would not light up if they were on their balcony below. For non-smokers especially, it is disgusting to have fag/weed smoke wafting through. Spare a thought for others. Regards the op, the law is clear, not in public—might also extend to balcony if others are being affected. Those guys are out of order.
  15. 😴😴 Who cares what other places do and don’t do? In no way affiliated with PrikPot but they do some good stuff. Cheers
  16. Should roll out to farangs if they’re paying tax.
  17. Disagree. Eventually overly large people should be expected to pay more. It’s not my fault they overeat and use more fuel. I check in with a bag one kilo over and get charged handsomely for the pleasure, while a fatty twice my size with a bag slightly underweight does not get penalised. Time to call them out and also pay for an extra seat if they encroach on their neighbour.
  18. I wish he would eat the whole government. Oh wait!... 😋
  19. It's not the ambulance, per se, more the inconvenience of someone wanting to make one move.
  20. Retirees arguably bung more into the system and our less hassle I guess, while unscrupulous types going the marriage route might be more apt to cheating the system. Doubling the money requirements would separate the men from the boys. 👍
  21. But that's what you're doing though, bruv. - Monies for retirement: 800k for 5 months down to 400k rest of year... not 'most' of year. Anyhoo, thought it was a witty quip by Mr Stark on commenting laying in one's bed when quoting the bed pics. Never mind. Done marriage, father of Thais, retirement, tourist, bouncing borders, flirted Elite etc etc etc. Empathise with the op farting about with marriage extensions, let alone having to ACTUALLY being married 😄. But nowt as easy as nipping down immigration for 30 minutes handing one set of paperwork by oneself, sans incriminating pics lol. Most other options are bolllox.
  22. Ooh, hark at that grinding axe! Grind away, friend; it is but an itch that one doth not bother to scratch. We English are quite used to the abuse. It comes from all quarters so get in line. But, for future reference--and to avoid attacking one's prose / structure of sentence (you're not quite there yet)--may I politely suggest avoiding the bars and perhaps slurping some coffee of a morning? Anywaaay, another 'ignore' 😴 Back to the world of dreams...
  23. New member & all… I know you love your wife, but you’ve only one life whatever your religious persuasion. I see this time and again with guy here working/giving non-stop with the woman sat around, ‘waiting’, and the guy nonchalantly putting his time aside. Just live your life without lack, she will be fine and daughter can work. Don’t just exist for someone else.
  24. Hope they made him wait for the next ambulance!
  25. Half that. They always base it on arrivals. I could trip here for a few weeks and do Vietnam, Cam, Laos—bouncing each time—and I am three people lol.
