  1. They can F off 'stealing' ALREADY taxed income and pensions though, which was proposed in the original document. That would be obscene Orwellian banana republic behaviour.
  2. Yes, good idea for a ‘reset’ as well as to earn good coin. Doubly good if you’ve got accommodation sorted. Tax wise, you’ll unlikely hit the threshold of £12,750 (think it is) if they don’t give you the right code, so can claim back next tax year. Real easy through HMRC app.
  3. Quick, get the sequel out!
  4. It’ll piss a lot of people off if it is flippantly reversed. Not just ordinary, normal folk just enjoying their lives, but people right up. Thailand likes to think it is all grown up and stable when talking economics etc, but is proper banana republic when it makes swift flip-flop changes. Almost childlike.
  5. Lost in translation… one would need to be clairvoyant to know how something went missing ???? Shame a crackhead relieved her of it and not one of those super-duper honest cab drivers we keep hearing about. Thailand is still largely a cash society. Very common for office workers n such to draw big money from ATMs. Hope she gets some of it back and perp dries up a bit.
  6. Oh, how droll ???? Likely wouldn’t appeal to the boguns among us. Not my favourite person but why knock it? He’s certainly as good as the best Franco-Italiano chefs and produces all that fluffy nosh, having spent time in both places. Thais also love to eat hearty western food. Not bothering to read the replies in this one as 90% will likely be throwaway comments from the beans on toast crowd ????. Good luck to the bloke.
  7. … because of UNELECTED people like you. Blathering on about helping poor people / the proletariat in order to garner support/praise while being filthy rich and not knowing about real struggle. It is pukeworthy. The sooner the world rids itself of corrupt dinosaurs, the better for all.
  8. Same here. Why stress, no one’s getting out of this alive anyway. ????
  9. Already all been said. Drink it when you need it--heavy exercise in the jungle you'll clearly need more than when sitting around on here, but loads of plain water in big volumes is not a good idea... that's not how we evolved. Read somewhere once that guzzling loads does nowt but dilute electrolytes and then the kidneys dump it to prevent the blood from thinning. You'll just end up feeling lightheaded, peeing all the time and still be dehydrated. Drink when you need it and consider adding some good electrolytes in hot climes... not the cheapo all-sugar dechamp type in 7. /The small packs of Oreda (think it is) seem to be ok though. Also consider drinking mineral water as opposed to always 'dead' reverse osmosis type.//
  10. That’s not long. Try giving it 6 months. Might also be dehydrated.
  11. That’s not excessive and not hard liquor, but would try to go down to 2-3 a day and have a couple days off.
  12. What a donkey. I’ve seen it all now. If he was planning on taking water from there, just as well syphon it out of the toilet and keep your feet dry.
  13. Now that is a movie!! Dunno. Possibly spend 6 months out of the country. One thing I will not do is pay tax on taxed income. They can go and do one!
  14. Well it is petrol/ethanol users that subsidise diesel. The gov does nothing but pass this on.
  15. Who said that it would? ???? Totally different Martians. Not an anti-vac, but again what’s that got to do with the price of fish? They are completely different viruses. ???? If you’d have had the flu vaccine then caught the flu at a later time, it would lessen the illness.
  16. Op, may I suggest looking at diet, environment and fitness before injecting more ’stuff’ into your arm willy nilly as many here suggest?
  17. No idea but a decent pair of headphones will trounce a decent sound system as there is no room acoustics to take into consideration. You also don’t upset neighbours with horrible music. ????
  18. I’ll break a superfluous law if it suits. Those that follow arbitrary laws to the letter—stick to every speed limit, never jaywalk, pay through the nose for this or that service when they don’t need to—are more lemming than morally superior. Screw that 1984 bs! ????
  19. They are all the same. All these unelected dinosaurs need eviscerating. Anyone anywhere over 50 should not be allowed to hold office.
  20. Cute how governments twist things when it suits them. I’ve always been told I’m a non-immigrant here and have practically no rights. If I’m deemed as being resident and forced to hand over taxes, should I not be afforded the benefits that residency and bring a tax payer brings? ???? Yeah, right. “Why, no sir, you are only resident for ‘tax purposes.’” Yuck!
  21. A factor in why I generally abstain during the week…. losing subsequent days. If Thai beer were any good and wine were a normal price, that might be different. Weed not same for everyone; find it makes me pretty groggy/sluggish next day, whatever strain.
  22. I’ll pay tax if you give me residency and allow me to vote you out!
  23. Glad I got Phuket out the way during the ‘glory’ years. ????
  24. Then say that then. Putting out spurious policies will only do one thing… scare off investors! Someone looking to set up shop here will likely be none too pleased at potentially having their ALREADY TAXED money stolen by banks/government.
