  1. They don’t, it’s Chinese yanks and mounties they’re after. 😂
  2. I think I will just wait and see now as have already brought in a fair amount this year. Still reckon it’s not for us even though it would catch many out. Why would they be trying to tempt the monied in with this or that visa only to shaft them on tax later? Ok, the left doesn’t know what the right is doing and policies are often chucked up but not acted on or rescinded.
  3. She's right, he stole her time, too. Fill up in our own time, you moron. Doing it to get his own back because she dared to question him, no doubt. What a pathetic little man!
  4. Utter pondlife scum. Phuket taxi/tuk-tuk drivers are some of the worst vermin in this country. Mouthbreathers, the lot of em. Gather them up and send them away for minimum 10 years hard labour. That will improve the image of Thailand. CONSEQUENCES!
  5. Up, down, up, down... How wonderful!
  6. They both sound a bit dolally tap. I would also be pissed someone jumping in my pool without swimming gear and not showering… your filter will love that. Agree with the above, too many crazies in the world, though Pattaya is hardly the bastion of norm 😀
  7. ^^ Hmm, very robotically puke-worthily put. I always keep it because I know the score, but h ow would miss Fanny Adams from Iowa know what a Thai official wants? It is one of the few places in the world that requires it. Airlines should probably get on the horn before landing and instruct people to keep hold of them.
  8. Ban all those horrible smokey tuk-tuks and sawngthaews in Chiang Mai and Bangkok and they'll easily reach that target.
  9. In a bid to revive Pattaya‘s "reputation" lol. Next!
  10. Don't go for all that mushiness and then there's tossing & turning, snoring, breathing, etc. I prefer to sleep but each to their own.
  11. If I ever have another wife, I would prefer to sleep in separate countries.
  12. What about bringing foreign cash in and exchanging say 150k baht worth at Superrich? Would they likely have that angle covered, too? I know you have to hand over your passport...
  13. Took me less than an hour to do my last extension, including the copying and filling out the form etc. 1,900 baht. Each to their own, but risking one's passport for a bit of time saved is nuts in my book. If there is one visa area that will see a crackdown, it will be agents circumventing the financial requirements.
  14. Government needs to get off its ass regards private hospitals as it does sorting the soi dog problem and other pressing issues. I’ve had pretty good experiences with public and private hospitals (as an outpatient) but there is clearly a thing with the latter regards money when one is in serious strife. They are a business first, healthcare provider second, and we all know routine treatment and medication are ridiculously inflated. Change your system, you greedy so ‘n sos!!!
  15. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Not traditional xmas movie, but they always had it on. ;-)
  16. Think you missed the irony there, John
  17. On matters such as this, I guess it is. Few places in Asia are otherwise, but I guess the rest of the world ain't much different if you are seriously moneyed-up corrupt. But as a country 'pathetic', no. I would never live here if I thought that. As to this issue, articles and press releases such as this do not help and will not assuage a skeptical public. They should afford each and every sick prisoner this kind of treatment if it is not deemed as special. That is what is pathetic. Just come out and say it, Thaksin is not an ordinary person. We all know it anyway!
  18. Bit rough even for you, Steven. Most 7 girls are relatively switched on. Guessing it was LOTUS as they are hopeless with their pricing. I would probably have also questioned it. A, it might be picked up at the till, B, weigher would get in trouble. Yep, I’m a sucker like that.
  19. Maybe they ask because if it’s not life savings it could be easier to walk away, although I would not do that. Have you tried approaching a law firm outside Phuket for advice like Siam Legal? Many families are all tied in with that island. All the best.
  20. So they all piled in at the last minute to enjoy a couple hours drinking time 😂 Ho ho ho I love the TAT 😋
  21. I don't (get scammed monthly), certainly not by immigration. Sure, been overcharged here and there and it is annoying when it happens, Thais regularly get shafted too, but it is what it is and I wouldn't try to recoup losses by targeting random people.
  22. Rarely indulge, but life was better before that and the internet / social media in general... or so it seems, guess it's all relative. Getting hold of a mag as a teen was a buzz, but having it on-hand 24-7 probably desensitises people somewhat, and might upset the call to interact and 'make babies'.
