Not just TV, but ALL-CAPS are not cool on the net in general. Worst offenders seem to be old fogies, headbangers and trolls. Guessing this sub-forum would be archived and buried. Deleting it could cause the site issues with Google, although there could be special dispensation for blogs, fora 'n such.

Foreign Man Shot in a Car in Phuket, Suspect Flees
daveAustin replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Understandable knee-jerk reaction given current devastation by Dobby and co, but that's kind of akin to continually blaming all English for colonialism, Northern Ireland and the rest of it when 99.99% had absolutely nothing to do with it. -
lol calm down. If he is all that then what are Prayut et al? Funny how people get all bent out of shape by ole benevolent Taki Shinegra. Go Tony! ????

Prayut To Be Held Accountable For His Deeds Over Last 9 Years: Pita
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Would hanging, drawing and quartering be appropriate? But yes he should probably have waited until he was in power. -
Some strange responses but then again this is TV; bastion of the internet, the crème de la crème in wittiness. The guy is a legend and a decent bloke. Get a life fellas.

What do you believe happens to you when you die?
daveAustin replied to 1FinickyOne's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Just don't go out in despair or hate. If there are ghosts walking the earth, it would seem more likely ending up as one as opposed to accepting it and moving on... ... if either is a 'thing' of course. -

Nothingness or an ethereal bliss. Just don't bring me back if it's more of this, ff.s! ???? -
Children under 12 months old should be vaccinated against COVID-19
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What’s your problem? You seem to be all over posts with a differing opinion. This is a highly emotive issue. Forget covid for a second; people have had adverse effects from these vaccinations and now the gov wants to make it mandatory for babbies. Up to you what you do with you and yours, but perhaps dial it back on others yeah. -

War with US would be "unbearable disaster", says China
daveAustin replied to Social Media's topic in World News
More so an unbearable disaster for China. A paper tiger militarily and their economy would take a massive hit. Wouldn’t worry about life here; Thailand will just sit back and smile, as it does. -
I baulk at this term for Thailand (because it ain’t), but instances such as this, dogs on streets etc, have it erring that way. The rip off transport situation on Phuket is a disgrace. Mafia is not the right word for these people; they are greedy grubby little scoundrels enabled by the system there. As above, hopefully a mature, non self-serving government can put paid to this carry-on.

MFP aims to break Thailand’s alcohol monopoly
daveAustin replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Dunno about the others now, but supermarket prices for beer in UK—most alcohol—is way lower than Thailand even factoring changes to currency over the last few years. When you get into the likes of craft beers, wines, breads, cheeses and fruits etc, Thailand can be prohibitively expensive. Even a slab of P poor lager here now is a rip, especially considering the wage relativity for locals. This can only be good news if they can break the monopoly of the dinosaurs, but a review of taxation on alcohol also needs serious consideration. -
Highly unlikely today but might be doable in a tourist-‘friendly’ place like Pattaya. On the bank’s regs, you typically need a work permit to open one, or at least a non-O (which you can’t get without an account) + local ID such as driving license and yes certified address/contract. Unless op knows banking staff—preferably manager—to bend the rules, would be best off contacting an agent.

Dunno how much a difference insulation would make as it’s mostly that low frequency boom that also comes down the walls through the solid concrete joists. Horrible sound and some places are especially prone. Always try to get top floor wherever I stay—booming feet and scraping chairs drives me nuts. Guess insulation would help (up against joists if poss), but carpeting upstairs floor would probably work better. ????

If you got rid of 99%, 12 left would still be too many, surely.

Beauty Queen's Life Shattered by Autoimmune Disease: A Cautionary Tale

Not one for that look with the eyes that many Asian women seem to go for (second pic). She’s fortunate it hasn’t taken over her entire face. Still pretty. -

Wouldn’t surprise me if that ‘vaccine’ played a part. Personally developed arthritic conditions right after being infected with AZ / Moderna.- 59 replies
