It was a troll announcement by the govt.
And i fall for it.
Ashes over my head. -
It is not necessary to throw over all historical and centuries-old customs. Only the gambling with under-age should be punished severely.

Perhaps one could commit the first dozen to the service on the submarine.
Would definitely guarantee the happiness under water.
But overall, it is not easy to make all nurses happy.
One by one ok, but all together?
Hopeless. -

I wonder how much all the prostitutes collectively raked in over the past 4 months?
At the moment is low season. They are noticeably more friendly.
It is possible to spend and life with only 600.000 Baht a month, if you skip all attractions, parks and beaches aka all unnecessary money spendings and fully concentrate yourself in the Nana area. -

Thai government is bagging for money not for help. getting retired germans in Thailand already is not enough. but what about if foreigners can use their experience and skills in here, uhm? no way, bring only money. I am not german but worked in germany for long, have PhD since 1983. i tried to contact thai authorities and officials with proposals that can make millions Euro businesses in Thailand. whoever i had contacted - universities, automotive institute in thailand, national technology center - just have been ignored. even my investments are not appreciated - after almost 6 million Baht investments and marriage since 2008 I have yet every three month get out of the country to extend my marriage O-visa. lovely. and you know the rule for Thailand - do not make business in here - or will lose everything. i heard some horror stories from foreigners who started own business, were very successful and later on have lost everything. anybody has better experience?
The government has no interest in small fish. They dream of multi billion dollar investments of the big international conglomerates.
They do not understand that the source of ideas and innovations in Germany is fed by many, many SMEs.
As a small foreign entrepreneur, even if you are married to thai, you have almost no chance. The gigantic paper war and the many officials who want to have
financially a share, make many foreign entrepreneurs crumbly.

In theory this sounds quite simple, the practice looks different. For example, the construction of an electrical machine control cabinet is already problematic. It is very difficult to get high-quality components. The market is flooded with cheap china products of the lowest quality. Even with standard components such as screws, drills, keys, the necessary precision and shear strength are missing. The whole equipment would then have to be imported to build hightec products.
With an import tax rate of 90% or more, entrepreneurial activity makes little sense then.

Must be a typo.
600.000.000.000 / 1.000.000 =
600.000 baht per visitor?
I know u can blow a lot of money here away, but 600.000 baht as average, no way.

I understand the sentiment you've posted.
But the fact is, FB has become quite a major channel for societal communication here in the country. Things that Thais have posted on FB have shamed and forced the government and the police to take action against people and things that had they not been exposed on FB probably would have been left to go about their "business." You probably can attribute the continued, undying attention on FB and elsewhere to the Red Bull case with ultimately forcing the government to at least seem to be taking some action finally, as one example.
Yes, overall, a lot of FB is a giant time and energy drain on the "productivity" of ordinary Thais (and others). But it does serve a valid purpose in some situations, especially when the traditional news sources here are so mute and muzzled in many ways. And frankly, even for local businesses who can't manage to maintain their own websites or advertise much, but can at least manage to pop up a FB page that tells the world about what they have to offer. For me a lot of times, FB Thai has become a kind of Yellow Pages directory replacement.
I saw, that you have also commented on this news.
A mass razzia in 320 rooms/flats. Which judge has here 320 search warrants displayed?
As a lawful fellow citizen, i find the whole development quite frightening. -

It's those big breast FB posts and likes that will get you every time.
All I can say is, there are SO MANY of them out there on Thai FB, that the entire RTP could never get around to going after everyone who's liked them. In fact, they're probably among the likers. Just so long as those BB's don't start offering any unpleasant political commentary.
Thanks for your help, but i fear the whole is more complicated.
So what if that many flat-breasted thai women sue me?
They might be pissed, that I gave the BB a like.
And also her big bells in her tight blouse scream for freedom. This could be interpreted politically.
Even if you want to follow the local laws, the whole thing is quite unsatisfying.

I do not know how I can click on a like button with discretion.
Do I have to switch off the light or discreetly move back to a toilet?
In my Facebook, I get daily news from a Thai woman with huge silicone breasts.
She has over 300000 followers and makes advertising for some silly whitening cream.
Now I am in real trouble.
I've often given her a like.
I do not care about her whitening cream, but her breasts are amazing.
Hopefully the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society can give advice how I can behave properly.
It is obvious that my Likes can not be discreet, when she shoveling her big bells every day into my face. -

They searched 320 rooms? And how exactly did they get 320 search warrants? My guess is that they didn't and just bullied their way in, with total disrespect for the law.
And found nothing!!
I wonder too.

More importantly, if someone does not appear in court, a statute of limitations must be excluded.
That an escape favors impunity is wrong.
Also, in case of serious crimes, no release should be granted against bail, if only one appeal without any relevant facts which include a new presumption of innocence or mitigating new insights.
Many criminals who are sentenced to long term prison sentences,
often regain their freedom immediately after the verdict, simply by submitting an bail- and appeal application. -
To make a field trip and stay at a resort in the northern province that was or is known to be used for prostitution involving girls under 18,
is not a clever idea, if someone worries about his reputation.

The money is not gone.
It has only someone else.

His geography knowledge is unfortunately deficient. Maybe he thinks fbi is part of a state of scotland which wants to leave the EU.

Everyone know where this money come from. Hopefully the deceived smallholders will be compensated. The real damage is much, much greater.

When these articles talk about foreign direct investment in Thailand, I really don't think they are referring to people wanting to open businesses here. I'm pretty certain they are referring to the large scale investment in bonds and the SET by intentional brokers, investment houses and banks - I also think any direct investment by business is restricted solely to multinationals, I honestly don't think their is any interest on the part of governement to attract SME's, small start ups, entrepreneurs, husband wife teams and such like, it's a totally different scale and league from what is being discussed.
Guess you are right.
Capital flows as investment have the unpredictable nature that they can quickly flow in and can just as quickly drain off again.
While investments in production sites, machinery and workplaces do not allow for the possibility of immediate capital outflows.
Trust in a location for investment is expressed in long-term real investments.
And the possibilities for such real investments are problematic for SMEs here. Even the JFCCT comes to this conclusion.
-
but the JFCCT is now concerned with regulations on requests for work permits and visas which make it difficult for foreigners to invest in Thailand.
Exactly.
The attempt here to open a business legally is suffocated by the paper war.
Even for foreigners married to Thai, it is made extremely difficult to work in a joint family-run business.
The possibilities for small and medium-sized enterprises are extremely problematic here.
-
That goverments wasting taxpayers ' money is not a new thing.
But the whole thing does not make any sense in any military strategy.
30 billion baht + follow up costs for nothing. Surprising how Thailand could get along without submarines for 60 years.
-
The fifth police officer, a deputy superintendent who is a lieutenant colonel, also did not appear, claiming he was preoccupied with work.
He trying the red bull boss heir strategy.
- preoccupied -

Algerian thiefs.
Then sharia law.
Cut Hands off.

government-to-government deals with china were previously with sticky rice.
Now G2G deals are with submarines.
Not same same, but no different waste of taxpayers money.
