  3. Another +1 for OMRON. And definitely check the cuff diameter fits your muscular farang bicep!
  4. If you are using KDMC (which was based on Kodi version 17.6) you might find this topic useful... Kodi® for Dummies I kept the topic up to date and pinned until version 19 of Kodi was released, because Kodi addons became Python based and there were a lot of changes to how the program looked and operated, also many menu interfaces changed, so I un-pinned the topic and stopped updating it. Most of the information in that topic would be valid for your KDMC version though... you might find some of it useful. But as NextG has already suggested, you might be better off uninstalling KDMC from your box, and doing a fresh install of the latest version of Kodi (available here).
  5. Does the remote look like this? If so, you navigate through the menu items using the arrow directional buttons in the middle of the remote then select by pressing the OK button. No harm will be done playing around with the remote control buttons... always remember there is a Home key which should take you to the top menu level (usually looks like a little house), and a Go Back key (which looks like a Return key), so you can explore all your menu options to see what they do. KDMC is probably a fork of Kodi, which started off life as XBMC which was initially created as the Xbox Media Center from Microsoft. It's been pre-loaded onto your box by the supplier, so may have some streaming sources already configured. I'd recommend to start playing around with something simple and familiar like YouTube first, and familiarize yourself with the functions of the remote control. To get the best possible streaming connectivity you should run a Cat 6 ethernet cable from the RJ45 port on your Android box to a spare RJ45 LAN port on your router. Alternatively, you can connect the box to your wifi by using the Settings menu options, and connect to your wifi using the network name and password. Streaming connections via wifi is sometimes a bit dodgy however, and you can experience signal loss due to packet loss. A hard-wired (ethernet cable) connection is best for streaming. I see that one of your menu options is the Google Play Store. If you select that you can set up your google account so you can download and install apps like VLC (which you are already familiar with) so you can access your movies etc on an external USB drive.

  13. But getting back to the main subject of this topic which is about checking for potential viruses with your Kodi addons, I just ran the repository location of the Fen addon through the VirusTotal website with the following results: It may not give you 100% protection against malicious software but it's better than nothing. Even Kodi alerts us during setup that these 3rd party addons will be given access to personal data stored on our device, so it pays to run a check on them before you install them.
  14. I just installed it to try out... it's now on version 3.0.42... And if you want the pretty pictures and data that go with the media titles you need to have a TMDb account, a Fanart.tv account, an IMDb account too. Other provider accounts are Premiumize, Furk, and Easynews, so it's a well optioned addon for those who opt to pay for premium content.
  15. The OP has stated that his TV does not recognize the newer high capacity USB 3.0 drives, probably because the TV only has USB 2.0 ports which do not supply enough power for USB 3.0 devices.
  16. Probably not if you are using a PC/Windows based platform, but if you are running Kodi on an Android box you need to do it regularly otherwise it will slow down. For an Android box you can either 1) step through the settings menu until you find the cache memory and clear it yourself, or 2) install the EZ Maintenance+ addon and Kodi will perform the maintenance automatically every time it starts, or 3) use the tools in the addons you mentioned. Options 1 and 3 involve regular manual intervention, option 2 is automatic. I know which one I'd prefer to do... I thought that Fen had been discontinued a few years ago but it seems to have been resurrected. I must give it a (re)try. Thanks for the tip.
