  1. Prayuth's chance to show how vomited he is to all his rambling, he had when the murders happen in
Koh Tao and other high profile cases but not on the daily television soap or the UN.

More or less all the criminal practices which has harmed Thailand and it's people for many, many
decades, presented on a golden plate. Corruption on all levels, human trafficking, slavery, torture,
racketeering and murder, all concentrated on a tiddly, tinny small island far out on the ocean.

Other typical cases highlighting corruption and how Prayuth's administration handles it are the plights
of Jessie and other kids on behalf of their parents.

But instead of grabbing the best opportunities he had to show the national and international community

how committed he and his government is in eradicating corruption and bring happiness back to the people,
he did just the opposite. Mockery, denial, self-pity, clarifications, threats of violence or incarcerations,
rewarding incompetence and more misery. Or then, if nothing helps, he waves it of and "Can’t be bothered"

So not surprised no news papers or forums are giving much publicity on those stories anymore as
everyone tries to be a: "... good reporter, a quality reporters, and a lovely reporter." of fear of being
unhappy or "summon for a discussion" and attitude adjustment.

(Off course it was supposed to be committed but my spellchecker suggested vomited a better option wink.png )

  2. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) will sure
come up with some brilliant ideas on preventing this looming disaster.

Within this region of the world it seams a fairly well educated suggestion
and most likely acceptable to the majority of the population, that pointing
all the fans and hair driers in the affected provinces towards China, might
    blow that storm away.

Should people have any doubt on the feasibility of such a project, a bit of
attitude adjustment with clear clarifications will eliminate any opposition.

Similar projects have been used in the past with some invisible effects
in flood and haze management programs.

Just because we can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

  3. I wonder how many people can job share an inactive post?
Will Pol Maj Gen Suwichpol Imchairat share the same inactive post with
Sombat Chatchaiwaiyawit or will he get his own inactivity?

Are there specific Immigration ministries offering Inactive Posts?
Maybe the government should consider to open a bigger department,
    offering more inactive posts as
soon, there will be no immigration people
sitting around in active posts at Suvarnabhumi anymore.

Can farang be employed in an inactive post and would we need a work visa for it?

  4. "However the spokesman denied this saying the immigration chief had only wanted to greet a senior official who had boarded a THAI plane."

A:That wasn't the original explanation given.

B:If its true (and I have my doubts) does the spokesperson really think this excuse is an acceptable reason to delay any flights?

Well maybe both statements where right coffee1.gif

Could easily be that his wife is this "Senior Official" too as that is a fairly normal

practice in Thailand, to engage as many family members as possible, especially

if it's taxpayers money they earn.

  5. I do not agree with capital punishment but I respect the
laws and sovereignty of other countries and it's not up to
me or my government to meddle in other countries laws
    and punishments.

My view as to the punishment of this type of people would
be "Same for same but keep him alive for long time".

What some one else mentioned was costs to the tax payer.

I believe society should pay whatever it costs to keep such
people alive for a long time in order to get loads of daily
punishments, "same for same but a long time"

  6. Gosh we are all judges, aren't we.

Is this because he is a white man in Asia? What about all the Asians who facilitate the abuse of children? There are a damned sight more than there are white people doing that.

As usual, though, all Thai Visa users are so vocal about the white man.

How about all this bile towards the vast, vast majority of child sex abusers here, who, like in our own countries, are the indigenous population?

    Pathetic.

I haven't seen a single post trying to bring any particular religion or race in to this thread.

So, who cares if he's white, yellow or brown, male or female or what ever da fa..

So not quite sure what you're referring to?

    Pathetic, yeap coffee1.gif

  8. Good news. Whilst the problem was somewhat exaggerated in the first place, making an official announcement that it is to be stopped is a sensible move.

However, there will always be some here who badmouth anything the Thai authorities do. They could be offering free beer and hand jobs and some of you would still be complaining.

What? No laokao, no blowjob? Only beer and a hand job? wink.png

  9. We are discussing the UK here not Israel.

Please do not hijack the thread.

Where does it say it's about the UK?

I thought this thread was about 'Muslim no-go-zones' not about the UK.

I thought it was about some comments on Fox News, not the BBC

I thought this thread came after the Hebdo massacre in Paris, not London.

So please tell us, where does it say, it's only about the UK?

  10. Using France as an indicator is ridiculous. It's the the main transit country in Europe for Goodness sake!

France is far from being the main transit country in Europe but Thailand is probably the main transit country in Asia, be it with tourists or human trade.

Although France might not be the main transit country for tourists in Europe, it might rank very high in the ranking of "immigrants" transiting rolleyes.gif .

So, what is so ridiculous to compare Thailand with France? coffee1.gif

  11. Reports of survivors is 16 at this time though do not know how serous there injuries are... I do not expect the are many more alive in the fuselage.

The ATR-72 has a very bad safety record,

same type crashed with the tower in Koh Samui in 2009

same plane type crashed in to the Mekong river in 2013

and soon, soon, Kan Air will use that plane to fly to Koh Phangan .

There are a lot of them still flying, short haul, overworked workhorse.

15 major accidents involving this plane, 5 no fatalities, 1200+ built, I do not know how many uneventful flights but still chances of crashing while flying in one must still be one in millions.

Just looking at the statistics, of the ten ATR72 accidents involving fatalities four were owned and flown by TransAsia...

That's a shocking record considering they owned less than 1% of the ATR72's built.

I believe it's not how many people have been killed in a plane accident who defines the safety record.
