How could you miss the chocolates when Tueschers are available in Thailand?

Just such a shame it's too hot for a chocoholic in Thailand to fully enjoy chocolate sad.png

Kirsch Staengely on line but they too, melt by the time they arrive sad.png

    You are kidding right?

Always fresh, our chocolates are prepared each week and flown immediately to our store in Bangkok. In this way, we continue to bring you these marvelous chocolates acclaimed as the world’s finest by gourmets and critics alike.

Aside from the world’s finest chocolates, our unique cocoa lounge will also offer pastries and special wines from the different regions of Switzerland.

Sadly, Bangkok is not all of Thailand and by the time I got my chocolate, it was melted. sad.png

But please, you can send me weekly samples and I'll let you know which ones didn't melt giggle.gifwhistling.gif

  2. No , they shouldnt get away with it.

But people expect to be told at checkin. They then have a choice of discarding a few things or paying extra. When they are on the plane, their choice is removed, and they are forced to pay. I'm sure the airline is aware of this and that's why they do it. That guy should sue their a---

    Suing? cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Are the signs not big enough?

Maybe you should go to SpecSavers before you fly next time.

Perhaps you should read the AirAsia website...

What are the rules for hand carried baggage on board?
You are allowed one piece of cabin baggage of up to 7kg and/or 1 laptop bag or 1 handbag onboard, each of which should not exceed the size dimensions. Our overhead compartments in the aircraft cabin are built to hold a certain size and weight of baggage. Anything exceeding these dimensions put our guests at risk of injury from falling objects should there be turbulence mid-air.

Size Dimensions: Cabin baggage should not exceed dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm.

Weight: Cabin baggage must not weigh more than 7kg

Such baggage should also fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment in the cabin. The approved cabin baggage must be tagged with a cabin bag tag.

You are also allowed to bring along your musical instrument onboard instead of a laptop or handbag, provided it does not exceed the approved weight and size.

If your musical instrument is larger than the stated dimensions we would advise you to buy another seat to safeguard against potential damage in the cargo hold.

    "

Very misleading information indeed! The green text does that relate to each piece or in total?

Nothing confusing about that <and english is not even my native language>

    It says clearly:

ONE piece of cabin baggage and/or 1 laptop bag up to 7kg

Size Dimentions: Cabin baggage should not exceed dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm.

Weight: Cabin baggage must not weigh more than 7kg

Musical instrument onboard instead of a laptop and/or handbag, provided it does not exceed the approved weight and size.

Very misleading information indeed! The green text does that relate to each piece or in total?

    Now you really wonder, what

"Cabin Baggage up to or Cabin Baggage not exceeding"

    could mean? crazy.gif

  3. "I am committed to do good things and create understanding with people and am determined to solve problems," he said."

His word is is as good as anyone on this forum.

Ohh, I thought PM Prauyth said:

"The NCPO is not god who can solve all the problems. Members of

the National Legislative Council must help tackle those problems.

    Don’t dump them on me.”facepalm.gif

  4. Pretty hard to be a above ground anti government movement as it's illegal under this appointed PM

Prayuth was elected as the 295h PM of Thailand; NOT appointed.

Well, your quote is old news of the 21st of August

and as usual in Thai affairs, needed clarification. facepalm.gif

One month later, as expected, came the clarification

"Please understand me. I wasn't elected. I know myself well," Prayuth said </quote> whistling.gif

  5. Another Thai man with no self-control of his actions where is his mother to teach him some manners and respect to other people eg; fellow passengers.

I'm sorry but I don't think this man was under mannered, he is upset of course, like I would be, they should check the luggage in the beginning, not in the plane, the men has no option, will miss he's flight, they delay the flight .. bad option

the men is upset and just higher he's voice volume, its not shouting, violent, and he talks polite using "krab'

Why should they check your carry on luggage?

To stupid to do it youself on the weight scale supplied next to the HUGE hand luggage sign?

How do they know the cabin luggage you show at the counter is all you take in to the plane?

Next you expect someone to clean your bottom after going to the loo in the plane?

Now I don't know how long you live in Thailand but can't be long enough, otherwise you would

know, most Thais say "Khaa" or "Khrap" more or less after every sentence. Never mind their emotions.

  6. I said it in the other topic wait and see.. all the English were patting themselves on the chest while i said wait and see its not going to happen.

Guess i was right they were blinded by patriotism and forgot how it worked in Thailand, plus like others have said no country in the world wold let other countries do law enforcement on their turf. Observers no more. That is it.

So what did the Australian police do in the Ukraine or Bali?

What is the British Police doing in Brasil, Georgia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, ......

What is the American DEA and FBI doing in Asia or South America?

Yeah, some are just observers, some just for PR and others, do investigate.

Best example of foreign police catching culprits is probably:

  7. If you decline to pay extra when asked ,you can be called back several times to "clarify "a point, obviously costing time and money especially concerning. marriage extension, you know the system,so there.

Yes, I agree, you have a valid point. And I well know the system here. Trouble is that it's just so easy to pay and that only encourages the corruption. If we all made a stand then the officers would have to back down. Oh ... and I dream on .....

Maybe a Mass Burning of Expats in some immigration office would do the trick?

  8. For all tourist, if 200 baht is going to impact your beer comsumption, well 1f 7$ usd breaks the bank, stay home. Where are you from, paying sales taxes, service charge 10%, tips. Somethings need to fix here, but bitching when your on holiday for 200 baht, take it home.

Are you serious? Are you real?

You really believe, having to pay a bribe for a service is the same

as voluntarily giving a tip for exceptionally good service?

Well, at least one defender for corruption on this forum.

  9. Inflammable.

    Flammable.

You say tomato and I say tomato.

Except I think this incident was actually petrol, no?

    All a bit confusing innit?

Did he try to commit british or american suicide?

Did he try to kill himself with gas or with gas?

But as it says 15KG I assume it is gas

otherwise I assume it would have said 3 gallons of gas.

Would be easier for the media if this Swiss guy would

have tried it the Swiss way with Benzin.

    smile.png

C'mon guys, don't you think the gas cylinder pictured on the back seat of the car gives a bit of a clue??

    They are just decoy ;-)

So all us TV experts can anal-izing it.

  10. Luckily the security guard had the sense to extinguish his cigarette before he opener the car door - otherwise there'd be a nice big hole in the Tesco car park.

Only if it was flammable gas, e.g., LPG, and I suppose we can assums that because it's most readily available, but could easily have been a non combustible gas like nitrogen or carbon dioxide. Even if it was LPG, it may not combust/explode, unless the gas/air mix is within the combustible range, but dangerous nevertheless.

I can't imagine breathing LPG as a way to end my life. It's vile.

  11. Slightly off topic but I have just seen that the accused parents are coming to Thailand to see them.

They are obviously poor people. I hope they are looked after and they can see their innocent boys.

Maybe it will allow the authorities to finalise the "deal"

    "Innocent" boys?

How do you come to that conclusion?

Guessing someone's innocence just as others are guessing their guilt?

For me they are just suspects, not innocent, not guilty.

No different than CSI LA and their brainless followers who are spamming

international travel websites with unproven allegations,

which in turn, makes them as bad as the Thai Police.

  12. What in the world are the Thai press' motives for revealing these types of stories at this stage? Do they think because a foreigner is involved that it will deflect any criminal intention from Thais? Their perpetual premature release of stories headlining foreigners is a noteworthy discrimination and attempt to taint the readership thinking. The prematurely released stories never have all the facts, there is little or no substantiated evidence, and in the case of the Koh Tao double bludgeoning murders, there is a conscious effort to prematurely accuse and deny any possible involvement by THais. This all serves to illustrate Thailand's deep rooted discriminatory attitudes and behaviors.

    Premature?

There's a kid missing and police was already looking three, maybe four months for it?

Maybe even a bit more, maybe even a bit less. Suppose they were just not quite sure

how long and what they were looking for?

Now a Swedish news paper reports the case and suddenly, somebody remembers again

what they were looking for since, - well, some months.

So yes, I would expect the police to publish pictures of the MISSING CHILD or his dads

fairly early in their investigations. Or would that be too PREMATURE in your eyes?

Maybe police should just say they are looking for two *****

<names, race, nationality withhold due to data protection>

who are wanted in connection with *****

<reason withhold due to possible defamation charges>

and the Missing Child poster will be publish after the sentencing?

<picture withhold due to age of the possible victim>
