I’d never heard of Sealand until two days before this thread was posted , Deja Vu I guess.
It’s an interesting watch.
My missus owns part of that.
I bought her a plot a few Christmases back.
She liked it.

Any visa would need to be issued by their Embassy or hon. consulate. Does Sealand have one of these?
Just enter visa exempt...........

Thai credit union, pretty clear... also ttb apparently
change, well... those promise an almost descent interest rate, still under inflation
but more than my current bank...
You don't choose a Thai bank for 'higher interest rates'........you choose one for practical day to day needs and to satisfy Immigration.

when the bank is asking to be registered in a blue or yellow book, they don't mean certificate... I asked about residence certificate of immigration or from embassy, nope... yellow , blue (not possible anyway) or GO AWAY
Change your bank (or speak to their call centre) - that is nonsense.

My wife had to go back to Roi Et to renew her driving licence - she does that every 5 years.
But as I said - ring the local Office and ask.
Does she do that out of habit - or has she tried a different LTD office?

Which immediately makes him more qualified than you.
Are you claiming that what he says is not valid?

The content in this case is from someone who may or may not be medically qualified but appears to be a medical blogger who has cherry picked articles and extracts to make their argument which may or may not be supportable, we'll never know. And therein lies the problem. We're being asked to believe what he says yet how can we when his reference is bits and pieces of articles and studies, cobbled together to make the case that supports his belief. That is not medical science at its best and if you want to convince the public of something to do with their health, it needs to be.
I wouldn't argue with that principal and, like anything in the media these days, one needs to look for the balance in any content. In this case the 'doctor' has patients and has quoted reliable sources of research. On the other hand he is a statin taker (and therefore 'pro statins' - and he is pushing his multivitamins. However, I found the content to be quite well presented and overall quite balanced.
I wouldn't 'diss' something just because it was on You Tube; I have have found very good dietary information and quite enjoy watching Dr Eric Berg and Barbara O'Neill....... I am not a blind follower of either and I am sure someone will post derogatory reports about both of them (Wikipedia actually crucifies her with this description "is an Australian alternative medicine personality, known for promoting dangerous and unsupported alternative medical practices and ideas"). I listen to what they have to say and take away the bits that fit with my own research and life style.

Ah well, if Youtube says it does, it must be so!
You do understand, don't you?, that You Tube is only the medium that brings you the content - the content, in this case, is from a medical practitioner.

But a tad interesting, don't you think?
That is what I like about threads when they spin off into related areas of interest (without going completely off topic).

I applaud the initiative.
Immigration has, for some time, been getting their act together.

Too many replies for me to read all of them.
I got the fish and chip with tarter sauce and beans at Sharples in Jomtien two weeks ago.
My review of the Jomtien Sharples fish and chips;
The fish was well cooked but the fish coating wasn't a batter and had never seen even a drop of beer, it was basically a cornmeal coating. The chips were limp. The tarter sauce cost extra (30 Bt) and was fine except it was only about 1/2 of what was needed. About three tablespoons of canned baked beans were also extra (30 Bt).
Next time I want a good fish and chips I'll to the Caddyshack Pattaya. For less than I paid at Sharples I can get beer batter fried cod , better chips, limitless tarter sauce, a good serving of beans, and a half pint of Guinness. I also get enough fish and chips to take half home for the next day's dinner.
I'll also recommend their Sunday Brunch, which is a bargain and large enough that I am able to take home enough for the next night's dinner.
The problem premium prices is that you have to provide premium products. Sharples failed to do that (towards the end) in Tree Town. In fairness I haven't tried New Plaza.
You will never have a bad meal from Keith at the Caddyshack.

That was very perceptive of me.
I was asking you what you thought and you said that you didn't know....I simply provided an answer for you from the horses mouth.
It's not difficult...

That is why I asked the people who claimed that he was a racist , to give their reasons as to why they think that .
So, why do you think that he is a racist ?
You can no longer say that you don't know, here is your answer:-
I am not a racist, Tommy Robinson tells libel trial

"Pensioner special" is a term used in the UK, seen it in seaside resorts one day a week, for the elderly, usually smaller portion but cheaper would suit hotandsticky
Yep, I'll have some of that. I don't care how much I pay (I am wealthy) but I am always interested in value for money.
It will have to go some to beat the £9.99 pensioner special at the fish and chip shop in Keswick.

I asked a poster why they thought Tommy Robinson was a racist after they stated that he was racist .
As I haven't also stated he is a racist, how do you expect my to answer my own question ?
If I knew the answer to my question, then I wouldn't need to ask the question, now would I
I asked if YOU thought Tommy Robinson was a racist.
You haven't provided an answer.
You have made pathetic attempts at squirming out of answering the question......I am mystified as to why you are finding it so difficult.

16 minutes ago, 4MyEgo said:Wow, so "bargirls" deserve those stereo types you are referring to because "bargirls" are bad. Sounds like you got throw off a horse. From my experience with women, I have found ALL Thai women to be good, haven't come a cross a bad "bargirl" yet, do you know why, because I don't judge people, especially because of their profession, by choice or other, they provide a service and I enjoy it, no need to put them all in the one basket (bad) because they spread eagle, after all, most men use their services and then trash them, did I say men, I meant boys.
The above said I have been with scores of women, mostly westerners in my life, but the yellow fever hit me badly when I arrived on these shores back in 2006 and have to say that I haven't come across a bad one yet, luck, no, just a guy who knows women, and how to treat them, frankly their pretty playful and if they know you treat them with respect as opposed to judge them for their profession, as mentioned, by choice or other, they will show you a good time and not look at taking you out, so to speak, on the other hand, if you don't know how women work and hang your heart on your sleeve and allow others (women) to handle your finances, or are one who easily listens to them with regards to investing your money into building a house without fully understanding the complexities of Thai law and are prepared to lose it, then you can't cry over spoilt milk, which most do because they invested everything, all because of that emotion (love) which allowed them to be blinded.
I build a house here, purchased a new car, everything is in the "bargirl" wife's name, however I only invested as much as I am prepared to lose, and even though I know my "bargirl" wife like the back of my hand, I say that because she hasn't changed one iota in 17 years, if we ever did split, then she deserves to keep the 10% that I invested in her life, suffice to say, she couldn't have earned this much working in the short time most work in their profession, in the hope of meeting a nice farang to take care of them and visa a versa. I know scores of guys married to "bargirls" and they are all happy, sure some have fallen by the roadside, but the same applies to marrying western women, fact of the matter is, most western marriages cost farangs more than what marrying a Thai would cost when the marriage goes south.

You have to understand the quality and expectations of many posters on here. Anything more than 50 Baht for a khao pad and they are running for the hills.
Complaining that 250 Baht is expensive for a decent plate of food says more about the poster than the product.
