  1. You don't know much about the law, do you?
  2. Must be loads of job adverts around
  3. You are still not scaring me....................
  4. Less than you think they will do.
  5. ....and ....then what
  6. Thaksin is the epitome of this element of Thai culture. Of course he robbed the country blind.............the Thais know that - but they also know he did some good for the country; being accredited with the 30 Baht health scheme for example
  7. 6 personally and another 6 minimum from friends comments over the last 18 years. You? But you are not interested in listening.................. @richard_smith237 summed it up for you. Stay in denial if you are happier with that.
  8. I have not come across, nor heard of, any Immigration office that is not corrupt.
  9. That question is better directed at Immigration - although there is an accepted convention in the west that 'families' are not split up. @theoldgitmay have more insight on that. IMO if you look like a couple then you will not have a problem; they didn't ask if we had been together for 18 years - or whether I had just barfined the missus!
  10. Just to add to that - you don't have to be married.
  11. Oh, I don't know.......he had his 30 minutes of 'fame'.
  12. Thank you. That is how it should be. BUT Jomtien changed their requirements last year. I wonder if they have now had a change of heart and your visits fell between the dates when they enforced the 'current TM30 receipt' rule. I returned on 30th December and visited Immigration at the start of January to get a 'current TM30 receipt' and also get another reentry permit. At reception I should have just said that I wanted the reentry permit and see what they said. I probably made the mistake of mentioning the TM30 receipt first. The reason for asking for a new TM30 receipt was based on advice given to my resort manager who was told (by Jomtien Immigration) that he needed to submit a TM30 for returning residents - and then I had to take a print of that report to Immigration to get a new receipt. If Jomtien Immigration have now stopped that nonsense I will be very happy.
  13. You are right, you don't need it. The pink card has never been anymore than a 'nice to have '. But, these threads always turn into a p!ssing contest; those who love the card will try to convince others that you are more 'integrated' and accepted if you have one. Those of us who don't have the pink card (and do not desire one) will continue to yawn and use our Thai driving licences to check in at hotels and get the Thai price at Nong Nooch Gardens, Supatra Land etc, etc.
  14. Oh, and taxi drivers - plus Russian draft dodgers - never see any of them.
  15. I am afraid I don’t have any ideas; but I did think it was only me getting these messages - I am pleased to know I am not the only one. I will take more notice of which sites are affected.
  16. I found it effective over a weekend - similar to my experience with Ciallis.
  17. I have found the Kamagra soluble to be very effective. I get a pot of 7 tablets for less than 200 Baht a tube.
  18. OK.....my obvious next comment is "how do you think you own them". Apologies @GarryP I am not trying to interrogate you, just establishing the facts. As far as I was aware you cannot own anything (condo excepted) jointly or any other way. - have I missed something? (it wouldn't be the first time)...
  19. I don't believe that there ever was 'one application form'. One person, one application. But I have been wrong before and will stand corrected.
  20. The application is not about you. With all due respect you are irrelevant .....except for your role as sponsor. Is it a condo that you jointly own?
  21. I believe that every application is individual....but there will obviously be a lit of cross referencing to the parent/grandparent. They need their own passport, so they need their own visa in it. Another £120 unfortunately
  22. Unfortunately it will have no bearing whatsoever. "each application is judged individually on it's merits". Obviously, the previous granting of a visa (used or not) is a very positive factor. Less is more with supporting paperwork. Make the ECO's job easy You only need to have satisfactory evidence to support:- Genuineness of relationship/reason to visit. Financial adequacy. Reasons for the applicant to return to Thailand The last one is a little bit woolly but you need to satisfy the ECO that "on the balance of probability" the applicant will return to Thailand at the end of their visit. Land/property ownership and strong family ties are main positive factors; also returning to a job
  23. That's enough VfS don't do any vetting (unless you are buying a premium service), everything is submitted online. It is stated that any documents in Thai should be translated (an Indian ECO sitting in New Delhi probably can't read Thai).
