Under-seasoned western food in Thailand
hotandsticky replied to Everyman's topic in Western Food in Thailand
That shouldn't be necessary, for most palates, if the chef has done his/her job properly. I accept it could be different for those used to an old transport cafe on the A1. -
UK Pensions and related info

Each individual case is different. If you are prepared to be a tad deceitful (and you have been anyway) just call the IPC in Newcastle and tell them that you have decided to reside permanently in Thailand. Since retirement you have struggled with English winters and, having regularly visited Thailand, you have now decided that you are unlikely to return. A friend did exactly that and they just said "you do realise that you will no longer be entitled to the annual increase"..........that was it. -

That question is better directed at Immigration - although there is an accepted convention in the west that 'families' are not split up. @theoldgitmay have more insight on that. IMO if you look like a couple then you will not have a problem; they didn't ask if we had been together for 18 years - or whether I had just barfined the missus!

Brit claims being abducted, Pattaya raid uncovers drugs, guns
hotandsticky replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Oh, I don't know.......he had his 30 minutes of 'fame'. -
Thank you. That is how it should be. BUT Jomtien changed their requirements last year. I wonder if they have now had a change of heart and your visits fell between the dates when they enforced the 'current TM30 receipt' rule. I returned on 30th December and visited Immigration at the start of January to get a 'current TM30 receipt' and also get another reentry permit. At reception I should have just said that I wanted the reentry permit and see what they said. I probably made the mistake of mentioning the TM30 receipt first. The reason for asking for a new TM30 receipt was based on advice given to my resort manager who was told (by Jomtien Immigration) that he needed to submit a TM30 for returning residents - and then I had to take a print of that report to Immigration to get a new receipt. If Jomtien Immigration have now stopped that nonsense I will be very happy.

Pink Id card for foreigners
hotandsticky replied to Enquiry123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are right, you don't need it. The pink card has never been anymore than a 'nice to have '. But, these threads always turn into a p!ssing contest; those who love the card will try to convince others that you are more 'integrated' and accepted if you have one. Those of us who don't have the pink card (and do not desire one) will continue to yawn and use our Thai driving licences to check in at hotels and get the Thai price at Nong Nooch Gardens, Supatra Land etc, etc. -
Belgian fugitive convicted for attempted murder arrested in Thailand

Oh, and taxi drivers - plus Russian draft dodgers - never see any of them. -
I found it effective over a weekend - similar to my experience with Ciallis.

I have found the Kamagra soluble to be very effective. I get a pot of 7 tablets for less than 200 Baht a tube.

OK.....my obvious next comment is "how do you think you own them". Apologies @GarryP I am not trying to interrogate you, just establishing the facts. As far as I was aware you cannot own anything (condo excepted) jointly or any other way. - have I missed something? (it wouldn't be the first time)...
