Whilst I agree with your assessment of larger transactions it is likely that the much better exchange rate (usually) with WISE will always outweigh the higher fees. Your final statement is misleading as the fees are irrelevant without also quoting the respective rates of exchange. As a retired bank manager any SWIFT transfers I do are free................it is still noticeably more cost effective to use WISE. .....and, of course, nobody should ever convert local currency to THB onshore.

With all due respect I am not sure you were comparing like for like. The exchange rate is ALWAYS better with WISE than a bank......
