  1. I have been using the Privileged Member name for the last 9 years without a ploblem in Thailand.
  2. Did a border run to Chong Chom today and it was open, I understand it is open every day. There was a lot of trucks going in and an Ambulance waiting to pick up a Cambodian to rush then to the local Surin hospital.
  3. I'll try the phone recorder tonight, thanks.
  4. Thanks for the detailed reply @xtrnuno41 I will take on board your thoughts. I must add that my mouth is not taped completely closed and I can easily open my mouth if needed, the tape is a strip of 3M white non porous tape placed horizontally over a section of my mouth.
  5. Not overweight, fit for my age, exercise every day for all my life, eat healthy and not late, live a quiet rural life in a small village and I'm 68. I fall asleep very easily but constantly wake up every 30 minutes or so and fall back asleep quickly.
  6. I believe that I have a form of sleeping disorder, I saw a Doctor in Oz about 2 years ago who told me that I had one and referred me to a specialist. I didn't follow through with the specialist as I researched my problem and worked out I was mouth breathing when sleeping. I adopted the simple solution of taping my mouth shut in order to nose breath, I came across this solution by Googling my problem. It seemed to work most of the time, however, lately I am waking up feeling like I have a hangover. This morning I felt terrible with a slight headache even though I used the tape. I gave up drinking about 4 weeks ago hoping it would improve my general health and well being but it has had no effect really. The correct method of breathing is in with the nose and out with the mouth but I do either in and out with the mouth or the same with the nose, one or the other. I flush my nose out each evening to ensure I have a clear passage, if I don't use the tape and mouth breathe all night I wake up with a similar feeling and a very dry mouth. There are no specialist sleeping clinics where I live. Anyone else suffer from this or have any thoughts on it?
  7. I have that one, maybe I'm getting confused, I'll go and see them at Immigration. Thanks.
  8. In a couple of months I am going to do my first extension of stay based on Marriage. My Thai wife and I were married at the Banglamung Office in 2010 when we were both living in Chonburi. We are now living in Surin and I will be doing the extension with Surin Immigration. I have the original marriage certificates from Banglamung but I am under the impression that I may need to get a printout of some description from the office where we were married. I don't really want to drive down to Banglamung with the wife and kids so I'm wondering if the paperwork from there is really necessary or, can I transfer the marriage registration to Surin?
  9. Which bank do you and others have a fixed deposit account?
  10. I'm in a similar boat to you as I'm looking for a second car for myself and I want a basic pickup and I'll settle for manual. Our family car is a Mitsu Expanda and it great for the family of five but useless for getting the dirty jobs done like buying gardening/farm stuff etc. I also want a King Cab just in case I have to transport the family. I have settled on the basic Toyota Hilux Z edition. Mind you I've never been a fan of Toyota, probably because there are so many on the road. I've been quoted 629,000 baht for the manual. I believe it's about 50,000 baht more for an Auto on most vehicles here. The single cab would be cheaper and there are a lot around here. Close second would be the Mitsu version although they seem to cater for the rev head in some models. I did look at Ford and considered them but did not feel comfortable with the dealership here.
  11. I got locked out of my NAB account last night, spent a lot of baht today on the phone to them and they told me it's because I logged in and stayed logged in on 2 devices. I accepted that and they unlocked my account but now I can't get into the password change window, it tells me that it is down and try again later!
  12. We have a joint account. The cars, motorbikes, house etc are all in her name.
  13. I have no assets in Thailand, they are all in the wife's name.
  14. Not entirely right mate, my Income Stream which was my former Superannuation has a binding death nomination that overrides my will. Either way, my Thai wife and 3 Thai/Aussie kids get all my estate because they are all dependent on me.
  15. Thanks for your help and advice everyone. I live about and hour from a border crossing so I should be able to sort it out.
  16. My situation. I have been legally married, in Thailand, to my wife since 2010. I have the certificate. We have 3 children all born in Thailand in 2006, 2010 and 2017. We live in our own house in rural Thailand. I moved here permanently in 2014 after retiring and had been on a retirement extension up to November 2019 when we all moved to Australia to live. We returned to live in Thailand again in May 2022 and I am using a Non Imm, O Visa for my return to Thailand which I extended once in a different province than where we live based on Retirement. The reason for the different province was because it was easy to extend my Visa there due to having a "friend" in that office and the financial requirements were similar to what an agent provides in Pattaya, if you get my drift. I no longer have that "friend" and I have now registered my address in my home province at my local Office. My extension renewal is due in a few months and I would like to change my reason for extension to one based on my family situation as I am reluctant to bring a lot of money into the country at the moment. Can I change my extension from retirement to one based on marriage or being the father of 3 Thai children? As I am the supporting parent of 3 Thai children what are the requirements for an extension based on this and what is it called. What number is it on this page as the wording can be quite confusing? https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714
  17. Yes, I may, my office is not known for being flexible and it is in the lower North east. Looks like I'll do the marriage extension then.
  18. It might help depending on any other responses, which is your Immi Office? Thanks.
  19. How do Immigration work out the combination method of income to meet the requirements for an Extension based on retirement? My situation, my last renewal was 1 August last year and I had about 1.5 million baht in the bank then. After the renewal I did not bring any monthly money into the country as I was living off the money in the Bank. I was also doing major renovations on our house and spending most of the rest of the money. I resumed bring over monthly amounts over 60,000 baht in October last year and have been doing that every month up to now and will continue to do so up to my next renewal date on 1 August. So, I have missed bringing money in for the first 2 months of my extension period. Up until now I have bought in a total of 740,000 baht and will be well over 800,000 baht by the time I do my annual extension as I will be bringing in about 100,000 a month for the next 4 months. Will this be acceptable by Immigration?
