Well she will have done/eaten this way this all her life and she is still alive so can't be much wrong with it (joking), but if this is the sticky/glutonous usually rice rolled in a ball to eat, i believe it is fine keeps for days for days. staple food of peasants.

At 55 if you could get a GF of 30 in your own country, then there might be hope, you already know the answer.

Another way to look at it, if she was looking for a decent man to love her, why would she be interested in someone who goes to what is a brothel, she could be going with that sort of Thai guy..

Yes she will be treated but will recieve a bill of around £1500 assuming no complications, thought the £1500 might just be for the birth, i am not sure if a doctor would inform immigration though, as suggested try citizens advice

You can marry in the UK, but can not apply for settlement here she would need to return and apply there, alsoyou would need to explain why you married in the uk when you stated it was only for a visit.

Always good to hear positive news on visa agents, there are some terrible ones around.

Standard reply for any company/govenment agency when they simply do not have enough staff/staff are not up to the job.

Thailand never helped its self by promoting its sex industry, things maybe be changing slowly, but mud sticks, just look at the number of single men who head to Pattaya/Phuket, what are these places offering?

No Thai other than peasants from a village would sit on the ground to eat, just not done, i have been going to Thailand for 30 years i haver never eaten on the floor or seen a Thai eat on the floor, most would just laugh and say, only rural people(peasants) eat like this .

Missing appointments for estate agents/ sales is common in every country, even more so in Thailand, she will have forgotten already, no gift is necessary, no need to wai, the social aspects of thai culture are for Thais as a foreigner you are excused it. either make another appoitment or just forget it.

Even the unskilled jobs are harder to find than most people realize, and many of these jobs are only for a few hours a week, not many company seem to want to employ for 40 hr a week.
What are her qualifications/previous work record, her written and spoken English is going to be crucial, i am not sure but care work is very short staffed, they simply can't get the staff. Probably depends on what part of the country you are.in. Keep trying

They will know you are divorced, as you have the papers to show it. which you will need if you want to marry in uk.
Of course if you lie by saying you are not married at a registers office, you might think you have got away with it, but it will catch up with you sometime(might be a few years), as there is bound to be record somewhere.

There is no automatic right for you to have an irish passport see link.
As for a pension thisi will require you to pay into the system
I have dual citizenship, and can think of no reason why you would need an irish passport if you have a British one, i have never found any advantage.
Hello
OK, so three years for me but would our adoptive daughter then become Irish as mummy and daddy are already irish?
About paying into the system, my husband paid 17 years of voluntary class 3 contributions for English NI to cover the time he was out of the country. It was all paid at rates of those years so very very cheap. It was a good investment if you live longer than 3 years in the claim period. I wonder if Ireland has the same system?
AS your husband is not yet irish, you need to be an irish citizen for a child to be irish, once he gets it, i am not sure if she would get it automatically i am not very good at reading the rules!, as you realize you can not become an irish citizen for a number of years and you need to be living there. google ' irish pensions', there is a good read on it .citizensinformation.ie which does seem to suggest that paying into an EU state pension can be transferred to the irish one, but again i found it heavy going. the one bit i did understand was for apension of 198 euro a week it required 50 years of paying in. good luck with reading it. AS your husband is only getting irish citizen ship now i am not sure if he can backdate his rights ie daughter and pension

Judging by the constant bickering and nasty comments on this forum, throw in liberal amounts of alcohol, sounds a good place to go for a punch up, count me in

Well it all sounds "absolutely fabulous" but I still wouldn't bother going even if it was FREE (it should be noted that I am not a "farang kineow"...) And speak with a very "Radio 2 voice" so greetings to you all ! ( and at the Polo Club......) X

I would say the letter from NHS was linked to immigration, there seems more cooperation between govenment agencies, in my case i took a fairly large cash sum to Thailand , was stopped at dep gate by a customs and revenue guy, who was happy with my circumstances, but took my passport details, and a month later got a tax return from revenue the only one they ever sent in 30 years to me. even though all my income is PAYE. big brother getting bigger every day.
Inform UK government or not

Just about everyone i have spoken with do not tell, so they get the annual increases in pension, and transfer when they need it, most if not all have a private pension so they do not need to transfer every month, not saying it is legal or the right thing to do
