    Some.

Even if you sit in your room for the next 2 months and only have delivery, something could be on that delivered package.  If you go out at all you are still touching surfaces which is a risk.

Then the lingering airborne.  Maybe someone sneezed in your elevator, hallway, or the place you are walking.

All this and you never had contact with anyone.

If you can load up with several months of food, and never leave your room, then very very low.

But, mental illness may set in and harming oneself is possible.

You can worry yourself to death for sure.....I choose not to worry about any of it...

Until a vaccine is found and more importantly available to the general public.

You won't be sitting in a restaurant for 12 to 18 months.

This virus is now in circulation so take your pick.

People maybe laughing at your 12 to 18 months but I have looked into this matter deeply and found this could be are real possibility.....But I certainly hope not...

I don't think public health measures to slow down the spread of this virus are nonsense. Not only social distancing of course. Mass testing, contact tracing, isolations when needed, and yes shutting most things down. It would probably be a good idea to shut down all the in house restaurant eating too but as long as it isn't and you're out anyway doing something essential, it doesn't seem that bad. I think plenty of people though will be using them as usual, making special trips to them, socializing there, so that would be a good reason to totally shut them down.

We I am just going to enjoy my life on a flat earth and try and not worry about things to much....

It's against social distancing to meet friends for ANYTHING including going to restaurants.

If it's the people in your family group or living in the same place already, then that's different.

Pattaya restaurants those that are open are now required to social distance even within the same table.

Getting to the restaurant depending on your mode of transport is an issue if it's public transport.

My take is reducing all risk is impossible but if you happen to be going out for a needed excursion (food shopping, pharmacy, etc.) that it wouldn't be so bad to stop at a restaurant that is complying with the new rules.

Clean your hands before and after the visit. Don't touch your face. Bon Appetit.

Also keep in mind its all a bunch of nonsense....Bon Appetit

The solution is to simply say, "No overstay exists until ... (date the current shut-down ends - which may be extended later).  Everyone's permitted-stay shall now be valid until at least that date.

You more than anyone should know immigration has been hard at work squeezing all the visas for a least a decade now.......Even the recent somewhat helpful allowing a 2nd 30 day extension requires a whole lot of hoop jumping....

So I would welcome but be very amazed if they allowed overstays with no fine...

I heard about this too, probably a smart move.

We should be one of the first in thailand along with other islands to reduce infections to 0'

Its hot, humid and ultraviolet light is at its strongest here. I think we will be in a better position than most places

I doubt they will ban flights out (hopefully). Its not like we have Wuhan style of infections rates.

This is getting crazy....Hey lets just lock everyone up in iron and chains 23 hours a day...Hey good idea if it helps slow down virus......

Doctor Says........Yes the operation was very successful, but unfortunately the patient died...

Told you already to get informed before you post drivel.

AWC is not owned by Minor group. it is owned by the richest man in Thailand.

Oh wait, you are the same guy who started threads that Indian restaurants never have a customer, and other doom and gloom threads about everything in Pattaya

Ok I made a mistake........But I stand firm on the Indian restaurants not having customers....lol

Really? Maybe you should inform yourself better before posting Thai bashing drivel

You must have missed that thread just a few days ago about a famous group of hotels closed all his hotels in Bangkok and kept paying their employees.

Or the thread where minor group who owns lots of $$$$ hotels in Thailand, urged the government to close all hotels.

Heinecke did not get to be mega successful by being stupid......I am pretty sure he saw the writing on the wall and saw profits were headed down the toilet...So he just decided to close shop for a while.....No I have not asked him this in person....But I bet if his hotels were doing well Corona or not they would not have closed...

They probably didn't switch it off tonight because they are not out of business, as the OP probably hopes going by his post history, but they only stopped taking bookings as they understand their responsibilities in the current corona climate

Well I guess the Hilton is the first hotel anywhere that has stopped taking bookings because of Corona......More like all the farang left in Thailand have no need for a $$$ hotel and the Hilton was loosing their ass being open......Corona yea right....

May be it's matter of time when they start complying to the rules in Rayong. It's a gradual thing, Someone first, then the rest are the next ????

This is exactly the way the restrictions are being put in place world wide and country wide......The restrictions are being layered in a little here a little there...Kind of like the old frog boiling.....And before you know it were up to our neck in restrictions and rules....
