    I do believe that the original information is less than clear or prone to misinterpretations during translation. But I would love to see it. Please note that many other countries have not changed their advice to travellers.

    No, that is not press releases, that is the press reporting. Clearly, the June 1st date was wrong; thus, I wondered whether the ministry reported the wrong date or whether the press misunderstood the ministry and reported the wrong date. So far, the only official announcement I have seen does not say June 1st but sometime in June or July.

    As far as I understand, the date is not from the ministry. The change will happen at a later date, yet to be announced.

    Quality? I stopped reading The Thaiger because there were simply too many errors in their articles about various places and activities in Thailand. That is subjects that I know about, and I figured that there were problably as many errors in articles about stuff that I do not know much about. Also, I got tired of seeing the many advertorial articles about Andamanda Waterpark in Phuket.

    I have yet to see an insurance that demands an IDP. They demands a valid driving license.

    Actually, back then, some mail programs executed code embedded in an email; thus, you could get malware installed by opening an email.

    I am not sure that Bob12345 meant waiting time on the day. When I renewed last year, I had to book a time and back then there were more than two months waiting time in Phuket.

Why don't you tell us which country, and then maybe someone would be able to answer your question. By the way, If you want to travel to your home country directly from Thailand, you will probably be able to do so even if your passport expire.

    No, you do not always have to pay if you are white. Besides, there is something called insurance, some semi-nice people that is willing to pay for you if you have an accident. However, they care very much how many official papers or licenses you have.

    Agree. In Phuket, you can get a medical certificate very cheap and easy from Dr. Apninya's clinic not that far from Immigration and Phuket Provincial Transport Office. I am not sure about the price, I think I paid 200 baht last year and it took 5 minutes to get: Dr. Apinya clinic - Google Maps

    However, be aware that your insurance will not cover if you do not have a valid license; and the license is not valid after the experation date.

    Sorry, if this is a stupid question. I see many write about QR codes and phones; is it not possible to pay using contact free payment with the chip on a credit card? In Denmark, which I believe was the frontrunner in digital payment, not Sweden, we use contact less payment with a credit card. Very fast and very convenient.

    It is two different things. The IDP itself is valid for 12 months. However, the country you are visiting may demand a local licence if you stay more than a certain time. I believe it is 3 months in most countries, including in Thailand.

    The contract started when both partners signed it. Your rent period had not started yet. Anything in the contract about what happens if one of the signers does not fulfill it? Also, how much was the deposit compared to rent and how long was the rent period?

    It's not you and I doubt that new speakers will make much of a difference. I usually always watch TV shows and movies with subtitles on, and when watching movies with guns and cars exploding I am usually constantly turning the sound up and down so I can hear the dialogue and so I do not bother the neighbours too much. I believe I paid around 5.000 baht for my speakers.
