Anyone used asq.in.th ?
farang51 replied to phetphet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The test costs 2400 baht when you book it at https://www.thailandpsas.com/ You can find hotels that offers free transport from the airport; otherwise, the price typically is as quoted when arranged by the hotel. I am not sure if it is possible to arrange transport yourself, if so, you can take a look at Vecay. -
They hide it in a non-logical place. People that want the STV want to stay for a long time, typical more than 90 days; however, they put the STV in the section "Duration of stay no longer than 90 days" in the "Purpose of Visit" dropdown menu.

Morchana and Thailand plus problems
farang51 replied to Zyte's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
By the way, I see no way to enter the ATK test result. About the registering: The new version of the app requires a Thailand Pass ID. I didn't try to scan my COE QR code; however, the COE ID number was accepted when I entered the information manually. I will give the app a test run and if it makes my life easier (registering entry to various places) and if it does not hog the battery, I will keep it. -
Morchana and Thailand plus problems

Nobody mentioned the app to me either. However, there is a poster in the terminal saying you have to install an app. Anyway, after learning about the reappearance at Google Play, I just installed the new version of the Morchana app, and it seems to work; although, it for some reason categorizes me as Medium Risk immediately after installing the app. -
Nearly 2,500 travellers enter Thailand on first day of full reopening
farang51 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was on the Qatar flight, full except some four or five seats. I was in the back of the plane, it took around 1½ hour to get through the document check and immigration. The covid check took less than 2 minutes, and I got the result in 6 hours as you did. I didn't get an ATK kit, and no one asked about the app. I can see that the MorChana app is back at Google Play. The COSTE app, is that this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tely360.coste It says it contains ads which does not sound promising. Where did you see that the COSTE app replaces the MorChana app? As for those talking (well, bickering) about residents entering, quite a lot of the passengers were on the younger side, typical tourists. -
I got my COE 3 days ago with 1 night booking and 1 PCR test in the airport. Since then at least one other member here got a COE with 1 night and 1 test. I didn't find a package, I asked a SHA+ hotel for a 1 night stay and a Shaba ID, and I got that. The PSAS website for appointment of the PCR test now allow booking of only 1 test, and they will take the test at the airport. It seems Google removed the MorChana app from the Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thaialert.app It is still in the Apple Store.

Morchana and Thailand plus problems
farang51 replied to Zyte's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am flying tomorrow as well. Did you get the MorChana app for iOS? It seems the app is no longer available for Android. Anyway, as far as I understand, the staff in the airport or at the hotel will help you install and setup the app when you arrive. -
The first one I linked to is a government site listing SHA hotels, transports, etc.; although, as Salerno points out, it is only a list of approved hotels; one has to contact the hotels themselves to get a quote. The second one started as a cooperation with a government office, it does have SHA hotels, although only in Phuket.

I used it March/April this year. Back then, it was a requirement to enter Thailand.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dga.thailandplus.android https://apps.apple.com/us/app/thailandplus/id1534557694 It used to be a requirement for the COE.

The phone app is still a requirement; although it seems they no longer want the ThailandPlus app but only the MorChana app.

COE question - transit flights
farang51 replied to coeproblems's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I believe you're right. As far as I remember you have the flight to Phuket earlier in the form. I first put both flights here, and that gave an error. Then, I wrote only the first flight here. -
STV (2nd edition)
farang51 replied to aldriglikvid's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will find the requirements at the website for the Thai Embassy in your country. Only, please be aware that many embassies are very slow to update their website; thus, the requirement of a 14 day quarantine may still be mentioned, although it is no longer required. The police background check is easier in some countries than others; In Denmark, you just have to go to a website and order it and then print it. The TB document you can get from any doctor. The requirements for the STV has nothing to do with the quarantine, sandbox, or test and go. In my case, the document for paid accommodation for the duration of the stay was the most time consuming part. -

COE still mentions 7 days of quaratine
farang51 replied to khrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Mine says it is for the Phuket Sandbox; it does not mention any number of days. Below the form, it says: "From 1 November onwards, the traveller will be eligible to enter Thailand on Exemption from Quarantine scheme (after receiving negative RT-PCR test result)." -
Flying in 4 days, no sign of COE yet?
farang51 replied to Gjk7777's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am arriving November 2nd, and they told me that I will get the test at Phuket airport. I booked the test separate from the hotel. However, this may change when they are up and running with the new Thailand Pass. I guess that you arrive after November 8th since they told you to wait and use Thailand Pass? -

farang51 replied to Gjk7777's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The 1 night package you can book in Bangkok includes all of it. In Phuket they do not yet (at least not two days ago) offer 1 night packages. I had to book hotel and PCR test separately. The hotel I booked at includes pickup from the airport; I guess they do that always, they are situated next to the airport. -

farang51 replied to Gjk7777's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I got the COE with 1 night at an SHA+ hotel in Phuket, even though the official recommendation is to book 7 days and then try to get money back from the hotel. If your hotel is a AQ in Bangkok, there should be less reason to worry. -

farang51 replied to Gjk7777's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I guess it is different from embassy to embassy. I am flying November 1st from Denmark, I sent in the second part of the COE Wednesday morning and got the COE early Thursday morning. You could call them and ask when you can expect the COE; it is rather nerve wrecking not knowing if one is able to fly or not with only a few days left. -
How did you meet your wife? First words?
farang51 replied to Neeranam's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hm, maybe one should open a gogo bar called The Beach. I'm single but I am a sucker for happy endings of the non-massage kind; it is a pleasure reading this thread!
