Australia has a 10% tariff in the US, the US now has a 10% tariff on Australia, this is the case with most world countries, while it does mean adjustments in the market it evens out the playing field making US made goods cheaper than imported ones for americans. The US companies it is effecting are the ones that produce overseas using cheap labour then getting extra tariff prices sending to the US, while sending US made overseas may drop buying US made in the US should increase.

Not sure where to post this so please move if this is the wrong area. We built our house around 31/2 years ago, we are out of the city and have an open field behind us as well as a rubber tree farm next to us. We are now getting noises in the ceiling/roof, they usually start up during the day and get more active at night, while we thought it was probably a few rats some of the foot falls are very heavy and we can get loud commotion at times as well so I doubt the heavier ones are rats. I am unable to access the roof area due to back problems so cant get up there to see, we have had several of the large moth balls tossed about in the roof which are supposed to repell rats, have even heard them being pushed around so either thay dont work or its not rats. Would appreciate suggestions as to what we can do to stop this from happening and get rid of what ever is up there.

I do everything online with a computer, never used my phone todo anything other than call or message people so does this mean I can no longer leave and return to Thailand, have always filled in a tm6 on the plane, even immigrations asks for your tm6. While those that cannot live without playing on their phones some of us refuse to use them for anything other than calls etc, going overseas I take my laptop to do anything online, bit hard to show anyone qr code with it. The last tm6 I filled in was in 2019, havent left Thailand since and it is still required every year I do my visa extension

there is a little place here in Surat Thanni that does the best burgers I have had in THailand, nice thick burger, egg, onion, cheese, bacon, tomato and lettuce on your choice of whte or charcoal bun, they have around 15 or so sauce choices on the table for you, I go for the peppercorn & the mushroon sauces. They then give you the choice of french fries or real mashed potato, beer is ice cold and all up under 300 baht, definitely a great burger

we have bought several thinks with temu, no problems at all, they all arrived, products are average quality but work, we are mainly getting things to use in the garden areas but have bought a few other things that were fine as well

The drinking age in Australia is 18 so telling the old man that they are not old enough shows they are not idiots especially when drinking age in Thailand is 20, just means the kid was aware it was not legal. Thai kids do not mature until they are closer to 30, they are very juvenile minded, my wife and her friends have said this many times and with students in their 20's living on out units we see it as well. I am overweight but fit into my seat on a plane without disturbing the ones next to me, my biggest problems are due to my broad shoulders and chest(wider than stomach), when I see the ones that are overweight whinging they are huge and its through their own fault, they over eat etc causing massive fat problem with their bodies. we have 4 dogs, we are outside the city area and rarely have people near our house, our dogs will bark at cars, bikes and people that come near our house, also other dogs and snakes, which is to be expected, they also will howl when other dogs in the area howl, also to be expected. Dogs naturally will protect their area, our dogs when inside our 1 rai fenceline react to others, once outside the fenceline they do not bark at other people etc. Dogs barking at people etc near their house is to be expected, barking for the sake of it is not and people that have dogs that bark continually for no good reason need to do something about it, too many have dogs but do not walk them, play with them etc, they leave them to do as they please which in the end does cause problem barking. While western countries generally have laws regarding dogs/pet ownership here they have nothing, many owners just let them run wild because they do not want to clean up after them or take any responsibility for what they do, many also do not feed them properly so they scavenge, pet ownership in Thailand is truly pathetic.
