We ordered and paid for a few windows and sliding door for our daughters new self contained bungalow from a major store last week, delivery was organized for today as the builder needs them so they can fit them & finish the job tomorrow. We were waiting all morning for the dellivery and it hadnt arrived so my wife called the store and was told that they had already phoned her and she had cancelled the delivery until the 1st August, while a few of the express delivery services do this every so often we did not expect Thai Watsadu to try it on after quite a few thousand baht was spent with them. We are currently waiting to see if they do now deliver this afternoon, if not it will be interesting to see what we can take them for, very pi**ed off, will have a few choice words for them after they deliver and make sure we talk to their management as well..

Biden Weighs Supreme Court Reforms Amid Rising Controversies
seajae replied to Social Media's topic in World News
the problem with the supreme court is that if dems are in power they will load it with their justices just as trump did, biden is p*ssed he cant do it so they will vote to do as the dems want & not the other way. As has been seen though they do not always vote with what either party is pushing/wanting, the US has become way to political and as a result average people are losing out to the extremes on both sides pushing their BS views onto everyone, there is no longer middle ground for the parties as there once was and the US is suffering due to it. From what I have seen the supreme court has been fairly good in their decisions even if some think they are controversial, its the political sides that are stirring sh*t about it, their decisons have to be based on the constitution not either parties policies or what they actually want/political views. The supreme court doesnt need either side to try to change what they can do or how it performs, a good justice will go with what they believe the constitution means with no political bias which is what they are supposed to do, trouble is if that decision does not suit the political hacks from either side they rubbish it and try to claim it is due to party policies and not their interpretation of the constitution -

Shocking surge: Thai electricity tariffs set to spark debate
seajae replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
wouldnt be too bad if they put the money back into infrastructure, lines and adding transformers, we are constantly having our power surge, drop back surge drop back because the closest transformer is aound a kilometer plus away, we keep complaing and they keep making up excuses, they have told us if we want it fixed we have to purchase a new transformer ourselves but they will decide where to place it. It is a totally garbage service that refuses to fix the problems with all the old lines etc, too busy putting the money into their own pockets which is where any increases will also go. -
200 Senators Report For Duty Amid Election Controversy
seajae replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
its amazing how a bit of kick back to those running the show makes everything alright, the EC is a typical example, they will do what ever they are told as can be seen with their current and past decisions -
One of my wifes workers & his new wife that had not been married very long were killed when truck drove at speed through a stop sign, they have since installed lights but even red lights dont stop them, they just dont care and do not like stopping, Thailand needs police on the roads as well as hefty fines etc to try to get all the pathetic drivers/ridrs to either follow road rules or be locked up.
-
Unfortunately stop signs mean nothing to thai drivers/riders, the amount of time I have had a near accident with thais driving/riding straight through a stop sign isnt funny, they ignore all road rules to suit themselves, not having police patrolling roads as they do in the west is one of ther biggest reasons there are so many bad drivers/riders here. Thais just dont give a sh*t what they do on the roads, way past time for the police/govt to enforce road regulations but being Thailand no one cares to do it, would mean they actually have to do work

love is the answer for me, not sex, not a drinking partner, not someone to do all the work or someone to help me stay here but someone that makes me smile, be happy, enjoys spending time with me, someone that actually completes me. My wife manages a large business, she also has more money than me so she is also not with me for financial benefits, while there are marriages based on other things ours is based on how we feel about each other and how we enjoy being together.

trying to work out if this is an attempt at humour as april 1st has been and gone. While the health care isnt bad it is definitely not great, hospitals are a joke(go in of a night and see rats running along the corridors), the cleanliness of them is suspect at best and the waiting to see a dpctor can take many hours. Private hospitals are average but govt run ones leave a lot to be desired and the standards are well below hospitals in the west. People admitted into hospital need their families to take care of them, a job done by nurses in the west but here you need to sleep under their beds so they can have water & food, beds changed/made etc, nurses walk around trying to look good but do bugger all for the patient, the standards are definitely third world in all aspects.

British Couple Outraged Over £9 Tin of Heinz Beans in Thailand

same with dim sims, $20 for 60 in Australia but same thing here they want over $100, the price almost doubled over night when the seller realized people wanted them -
I bought a Logitech web cam from them, when I tried to register it I was told it was not genuine, none of the identifying numbers existed with Logitech. I did try contacting JIB about it but they would not answer me so I just took it that I had been sold a chinese knock off, wasnt a great deal of money so didnt follow it up after contacting Logitech & JIB. I had bought from JIB previously for home delivery and was very happy with their service so was surprised to find them selling non genuine parts and not getting back to me about it.

I get 2 or 3 cuts a year, had long hair until around 15 years ago, even had a pony tail at one stage but here in Thailand I prefer it shorter so once it keeps getting in my eyes I get it cut by my hairdresser, he actually uses scissors and does a great job.

all depends on the masseuse, some are good but many are not, once you find one that actually knows how to do a proper massage its good, I did have a great one but she stopped doing it and the only one I tried after didnt know what she was doing. A good 2 hour massage by a masseuse that knows what they are doing is great, one by someone that doesnt leaves you feeling very uncomfortable.

Why is North Thai Pho so much worse than Pho from the South
seajae replied to Yamu's topic in General Topics
the food variances from north to south make a lot of difference, like most countries each region does it their way of cooking. My wife prefers food from the south(where she was born) to the north, she says the north has too much chilli plus uses different ingrediants, central Thailand varies again as well, tourist areas will also cater to the tourist preferences so in Thailand you will always get a lot of variation in your food depending on where you are at the time when you eat. -
Any good lawyers to sue well established computer store?
seajae replied to timoti's topic in General Topics
what seems to be missing in all this is how long have you owned this 500k laptop(plus when released to the market) and what was wrong with it that needed fixing in the first place, the answer to these two questions will go a long way to anyone supporting you. You can have a really expensive laptop/computer but their value drops considerably as they age and they are superceded with technology, their value can halve inside a year and if it was broken the value drops even more(may even make them virtually worthless), so far you have evaded the age and problem it had and they are very important to all this. As someone that has been building computers for over 20 years I know exactly how fast high priced computers/laptops/components drop in value and how something breaking/becoming a problem can render them to the scrap heap if it cannot be replaced especially if they are no longer made. -
Thaksin Plans Electoral Changes to Counter Move Forward's Rise
seajae replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
the US electoral college is the only thing stopping the US becoming like Thailand, it makes everyones vote count not just one party but only idiots/fanatics refuse to accept this fact
