  1. I very much doubt you have had 100 posters giving you feedback to reach that conclusion and I am not the only to question you using the word civilian. It is very uncivil of you to do so.
  2. The best I have had here is at Nicky's. I thought they had given me 2 pieces but it was one very thick piece. I guess it was deep fried but, by heck, it was good.
  3. No problem, I should have posted sooner about brekkie. All the best.
  4. Thank goodness I live here now. 4th Tory PM in a little over 6 years. Many on her own party benches cannot stand her.
  5. If you go to Robin Hood Tavern, at the Avenue Mall on 2nd Rd, you can have tinned or fresh tomatoes. They have a tick menu so you can build your own brekkie. It is quite expensive but is of a decent quality. The black pudding tasted like the Bury variety, not to my taste really. The fresh mushrooms turned out to be tinned, so best avoided. Bacon and sausage were first class. Expect to pay around 400 Baht, more or less, depending on your appetite.
  6. I am hearing of a fatality on Beach Rd Soi 4. A man trying to restore power was apparently electrocuted and then swept out to sea. His body has yet to be recovered.
  7. Dead cat? Bin dipping skip rats, surely.
  8. Sancho first man subbed. Did sweet FA after his goal. Rashford at centre forward is a smart move IMO. i thought ETH wasn't keen on playing him there but good sense has prevailed. Sunday v Arsenal will be a proper test.
  9. Brenda moaning about not having enough money to spend in the last 2 transfer windows. He says the club isn't the same as it was 2 years ago. What is? I reckon he is angling for the Villa job which is very possibly going to become free after this weekend. He can re-unite with Christian Purselow and Phillipe Coutinho.
  10. It seems to me that more places are going behind closed doors, possibly making a night out more risky. I wonder if 20 foreigners died in a nightclub fire, would the outcome be any different?
  11. Anutin wants to be PM. At the next election it is possible; some say likely; that his party will hold the balance of power, having enough seats to decide who forms the next Government. His price will be the PM job. I have seen him interviewed in English on Singapore's CNA TV channel and he came accross as reasonable and knowledgable. His anti-falang comments don't sit well with expats here but most expats don't get to vote in elections. Thai voters seem to like him.
  12. Ekkamai to Pattaya is now up to 131 Baht from 119. Inflation shock, horror, scandal!!!
  13. V Forest for Leyton Orient?
  14. Apparently, air fares are high but hotel rooms are cheap. The latter could offset the former, depending on the length of stay.
  15. With the cost of living in the West being through the roof I wonder if some retirees are giving serious thought to moving here permanently.
  16. Before the weekend it was reported that 9 patients were on intubators, so now 7.
  17. Now 22; a 30 year old mother of 2 passed away on Sunday.
  18. I haven't made a comparison with another country, so where I come from is irrelevant. I live in Thailand now anyway.
  19. Wearing a cap too. When Utd lost 4-0 at Brentford, De Gea had the sun in his eyes for all the goals but he didn't wear a cap.
  20. When you think that Sancho has essentially replaced Daniel James, that doesn't seem to be very good business.
  21. I think you'll find you are quoting a post that is 3 years old. Both P&Ws are long gone. Try to keep up.
  22. He was Jewish, some say.
  23. Being remanded in custody until trial isn't unusual. In this case, to prevent absconding, also not unusual in Thailand.
