    I do think there is demand for quality locations and feel that China and Hong Kong in particular have a lot of potential buyers. The Thai Government is actively encouraging these types of foreign investors, much derided by many on this forum who are not remotely the target market.

    The plane will be a big draw. There are plenty of baht busses going North on 2nd Road; easy access to and from Beach Rd too.

    Went past this lunchtime and there were a lot of food stalls setting up outside at the front, some with tables and chairs (so restaurants). A big rainstorm was just beginning but I hope it cleared up for them later on.

    There is a big building going up at the front of that site; no idea if it will be a restaurant. It could house a food court suitable for rainy days like we have had lately.

    The mods normally close threads about farang deaths pretty quickly, to stop idle speculation, theorising and well-worn stereotyping. I wish they would close this one.

    Why the rejoicing? He was out on loan in Brazil last season and played no part in the debacles at Watford and Brighton or the double humiliation by Liverpool. You must be easily pleased.

    Almost off-topic but keep reading ..... Kiss is regarded as a cheapskate hangout, others say the Thai food isn't authentic. I think it is OK, food is good and any Thai I have taken there loves the Thai food. The Thai owner is a Man Utd fan and a photo of him taken outside OT took pride of place in my local branch (now closed).

    I bought pounds from Kasikorn bank currency exchange last time I went to the UK in 2019. That was in Pattaya; exchange booths were telling me they did not have Sterling. Bangkok may be better served.

    Prices in the rental market are very good just now, supply greatly exceeds demand. Not that it matters if your heart is truly set on buying a property.
