  1. First chance to see Utd's big new signing - Whatsisname.
  2. He's not going - now confirmed. He's not even made it back to Manchester for pre-season trainng.
  3. Absence now confirmed and not looking good for the Australian part of the tour either. The event organiser yesterday assured everyone that Ronaldo was coming. An egg on face moment.
  4. Prime Burger have opened a branch at Central Festival on the bottom floor. From 2nd Rd go down the escalator and it is on the RHS opposite the supermarket and next to Mister Donut. Menu is as Soi Buakhao, with the daily special. Was empty when I went by at 4.30.
  5. Not a review, but just to say that Prime Burger have opened a branch at Central Festival on the bottom floor. From 2nd Rd go down the escalator and it is on the RHS opposite the supermarket and next to Mister Donut. Menu is as Soi Buakhao, with the daily special. Was empty when I went by at 4.30.
  6. Pre Covid Kiss had a deal on steaks and they were fine; very good value for money. I know it is the fashion to mock Kiss and those who eat there but they have good cooks, good ingredients and regularly had attractive offers. My Thai other half adores their steamed sea bass with garlic and chillies.
  7. A lot of exchange booths are yellow with black script - just like T&T.
  8. Rides 4 Kickz did a recent review of Chan on his YouTube channel.
  9. It closed a few months ago. If you had an account there it has been moved to the branch on 4th floor of Central Festival on Beach Rd/2nd Rd. Any branch will help you, so you don't need to worry about that.
  10. I am sure the landlord is happy that all he has to do is check his rent has been paid every month. So far, it doesn't seem to be a happy state of affairs for the tenant.
  11. Looks like she's pulled in the photo.
  12. My other half actually won 4K today for 3 numbers: 002. My OP is what did it. My share? Zilch. She will treat her 2 little granddaughters so all is well.
  13. Lottery day today. My other half always buys tickets after much consultation with relatives, but she never wins. I don't buy tickets. Has any falang on here ever won? Did it change your life?
  14. Rinapp and the Swiss restaurant, whose name I forget, are also on the soi. Some of the bars are restaurants before nightfall e.g. The Swan and a few others. .
  15. One of the reasons people rent rather than buy is that they don't have to shop around to arrange repairs on the property. Report what needs fixing to the landlord; maybe with photos; and let him get on with it. It is his responsibility. The OP states the landlord is in Bangkok; it is hardly the other side of the world.
  16. I would politely, but firmly insist on your landlord sorting it. You can withhold rent till the repair is done.
  17. Pattaya is slated as the site in the Central area (from another news outlet). My guess is that it will be built on one of the many empty plots on 2nd Rd between Klang and Central Marina, but your suggestion is also a viable option.
  18. You ask for reccomendations on a particular soi, get one and proceed to rubbish it. How rude are you?
  19. The best full English brekkie is at The Swan at the 2nd Rd end of Soi 13/1. Priced at 189 Baht but is value for money.
  20. Grottinos on Soi 33 off Pattaya/Naklua Rd. The entrance to the soi is opposite the Woodlands Hotel. They have different home made pasta dishes as their speciality. Italian owned.
