Hi guys,
Not on any TV package and don't want one either but would like some local free channels. In the UK I used to be able to use an old sky or virgin box to get basic free view and over air channels. Can I split my internet coax cable and feed it into a cheap settop box? The house I'm in has no arial fitted and land lord said he will install satalite dish but I will need a set top box.
Also can you get Eurovox equivalent for cable TV here?

I have a small amount of Diazapam form the UK for flying and 10 tablets from Cambodia a friend bought over. I only use them for flying to calm me before and during. The americans rave about Xanax so when another friend went to Cambodia I asked him to buy me a few packs thinking he would get a few packs of 10...
I now have 3 packs of 100!!! Tried 0.5mg for the first tiem at home the other day as I dont really want to trial on a plane and didnt really notice the effects that much tbh. Prefer Valium.

Anyone have Xanax and Diazapam together? Tried Xanax yesterday and didn't really feel anything compared to Diazapam.

I have a weber rotiserrie motor that is rated: 120V 9W 50/60HZ
Can anyone tell me what rating step down I need and where best to find one in BKK? I'm out in Bangna if anyone knows anywhere locally.
Cheers

Morning all,
Anyone know where I could source single cream in BKK? I need some for a Korma curry. I usually mix 6tbs Coconut Milk powder with 200ml single cream, I will try this with coconut milk instead but often find it is much more runny that even Single Cream.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Hi Guys,
My mate has a nickname from his Thai Mrs that sounds like "Pum Boy" from what I can remember. Can anyone correct me or tell me how it is spoken?
Cheers

That'd be fine I would be nice and chilled out from the meds, no panic at all.

Can anyone recommend a washing machine from powerbuy or big c online stores? Looking to spend under 14000 baht ideally. Only me and mrs work cloths so don't need a family monster.

Is their a difference in say Roche Diazapam and PPM?
-
How do you get ambian? I have not heard of it before, only tried Diazapam which doesn't really make me sleepy even at 15mg it just kinda mongs me out. I would like to try Xanax just to see if it is more suited to flying than Valium.

To be fair, Thai girls want to please their partner, so they often pretend to understand everything they say, even though they may be lacking in English ability or in general education. In which case, the same subject can come up later on and to them it is a new one, which can be a bit annoying to her partner. Alternatively, as is often the case, they just do not listen at all because they have no interest in the conversation.
Recently, when my girlfriend and I were having a small argument, I gave in jokingly saying that I wanted to avoid World War 3. Somewhat unusually, she was actually listening at the time but had no idea what I was talking about as she had never heard of the previous two. In that case, it was simply lack of education and not a language problem.
Your mrs has not heard of the 2 world wars?!!!!!! <deleted>

The place me and the mrs are moving into does not have a washing machine so we will need to aquire one. Nothing fancy just something that can do out clothes, sheets etc. We don't have kids so do not require one that takes heavy loads.
Can anyone advise on what our best bet is? I looked on Craigslist and nothing recently, and new they seem to be 10000 - 20000 baht.
Given we will not want to ship it back to the UK in 4 years I am still leaning towards second hand but other than cragslist not really sure where would be best place to look? We also do not have a car so delivery needed really to Bangna area.

Perfect! I much prefer a dark cabin to zone out for the duration than sun beaming in and kids running riot. 15mg Diazapam and I'll be fine

Hi Guys,
Not the best flyer and find it easier to fly with lights and shutters down. If my flight leaves BKK at 11:20am (BKK Time) to arrive in London at 5:35PM (GMT) can anyone advise how much would be in the dark then? From what I understand most of it will be light as we will be travelling with the approaching sun for the UK?
Will the cabin crew ask people to pull blinds down anyway? Or will I have the joy of screaming kids and a fully lit up cabin?
Thank god for valium lol

Hi Guys,
Just wondered if I could pick some brains about how best to structure my accounts etc here in LOS.
I have my Thai side salary paid into a Savings Account which I have setup all online access to and I also have a Citi Bank credit card which I repay each month via online bill payment from my main Salary Savings Account, usually costign 20tbh each transaction.
Is it easy to setup direct debits for general bills such as Electricity, Water, Internet etc? As at present it is a bit tedious drawing money out at a ATM and going to 7/11 each time to pay. I will also be going back to the UK for 3 weeks in July so don't want to miss a bill and have Electricity or somethign cut off.
Cheers
True channels from cable used for internet?
in IT and Computers
Posted
Sorry maybe I wasn't clear in my OP.
I have a true 35m Cable broadband plan, with No TV subscription. true came and fitted the coaxial cable for the internet.
I have a samsung 7 series HDTV that can accept the screw on coaxial type I put from a satellite dish as well as the older arial type socket from yesteryear.
The house I have moved into has no arial or satellite, but the landlord said he have a dish installed for free but the installation guy told him we would need a set top box. I assume he will want to use the old style arial sockets he has installed in every room.
Now in the UK I had a satellite feed directly into the HDTV and I would receive freesat and some other channels, can I do that here, preferably through the installed old type of arial socket, without the need for any type of set top box?
Secondly in the UK I also had internet only cable and was able to use a spliter and feed it into an old settop box I had for the same company. It would the. Allow me to watch the free channels. Is this doable if I buy an old true set top and splitter?
