Propane burns hotter than Butane. If you had a problem I suspect the jet in the burner did not match the pressure being used.

Sorry my friend. But you are wrong. Butane is a longer chain hydrocarbon than propane and as anyone in the oil industry knows, a longer chain hydrocarbon has more energy density than a shorter chain hydrocarbon. Think diesel vs gasoline.

"Cooking gas" is mostly propane with some butane.

It should work fine with your flame thrower.

Looks like the torch screws directly into the cylinder.

I would venture to say that it is mostly butane with some propane. It burns far hotter than propane gas alone. I had an imported propane BBQ melt down when using local cooking gas as fuel.

  3. You state that your current tank is supplied from a well. My question is this: type of pump and what is the rated flow rate, motor horsepower and depth of the pump in the well if it is a submersible pump?

If you have a submersible pump in the supply well, I would recommend simply purchasing a reasonably sized accumulator tank and foregoing purchasing another water pump at all. Let the submersible well pump feed the accumulator tank and your house.

  4. For everyone that wants to bash the private hospitals for charging for their services, how many of you own a business or have owned a business? If you did, did you give your services away for free? And if you did on a regular basis, how long did you stay in business? If the Thai government wants to have their 30 baht health care plan so be it, as long as it only applies to government hospitals. If the government wants that 30 baht scheme to apply to private hospitals, then the government has to compensate the private hospitals. Otherwise, the private hospitals will operate at a loss and wont be around for long.

We must remember the basic fact of life that cannot and will not ever change no matter how much we feel it should: There is no such thing as a free lunch!

I'm all for vaccination for various reasons. Had my Astra x2 in Sydney and now in Bangkok quarantine.

Covid IFR (infection fatality rate) has been determined by US CDC to be around 0.6% and vast majority of deaths are people over 70, with co-morbidities. So, 99.5% chance of surviving for healthy people is probably an understatement. More like 99.9%

However, beware of long hauling. The studies are finding about 10% people who survive Covid have symptoms lingering for 3-6 months and sometimes worse.. https://health.ucdavis.edu/coronavirus/covid-19-information/covid-19-long-haulers.html

Funny that: I got banned by the wokesters in charge for saying 99.7%

    Irresponsible beyond belief.

If the newer varients spread this is going to be dangerous. The vaccine DOES NOT stop you catching the virus and spreading it. Even if people in Phuket are vaccinated - won't there be arrivals from Bangkok and other provinces who will be taking it back? Surely they should just wait till the country has a high vaccination point.

Kind of a contradictory statement? First you say: "The vaccine DOES NOT stop you catching the virus and spreading it". Then you say they should wait until country has a vaccination point?

What good is a high vaccination point if the vaccine DOES NOT stop you catching the the virus and spreading it?

I am confused by your position.

Only 45 other provinces to go.

    We can do it.

    Together.

More seriously... I would like to remember the "curfew brigade happy triggers"... that curfew do not work.

France has a curfew since.... more than 6 months !  First, 6 PM, then 7 PM (soon it will be 9 PM then 11 PM in june).

(it started in Paris areas and 8 other urban areas on october 17, then was extened to the whole country 1 week later).

    And ?

Well look at the charts (cases and deaths)...

This is real life, in an organized country (the curfew is respected, lot of police checking etc.).

Curfew is just a wet dream for maniacs, politicians (most of the time, they are the same) and control freaks.

From an epidemiology point of view it's a pure fantasy...

Be careful. Speaking anything against the woke company line can get you cancelled here.
