Someone has lied to you.
The fatality rate is much higher, and a significant fraction of survivors suffer long term symptoms.
More to the point, what is your motivation to downplay this epidemic? How does it help anyone?
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/thailand/
I rest my case. On another note, most statisticians claim that the known people that have tested positive is probably less than half of people that have actually caught the virus, weren't tested and have n o symtoms. That would make the survival rate closer to 99.9%

Deadly virus with a 99.7% survival rate?

I'm an officer of Bangkok Bank and I recommend the Be1st Smart TPN MasterCard for anyone who travels abroad. The UP card is fine if you never leave Thailand or travel in Asia.
UP is more and more accepted overseas, particularly if you mainly travel in Asia, but just in case I would recommend the MC
PM me if there are still questions. Thank you
I used to have the Be1st Smart Visa debit card until it expired. I asked to have the same but was told that Bangkok Bank had cancelled their agreement with Visa and now had Union Pay in their stead. That was all that was on offer. So, I got a Union Pay card and it works fine in ATMs and also ATMs in China. The problem I have is that I have not been able to use it to pay for items in a shop in Thailand. As in at the Apple Store, etc.
My question is this: can I go into my local branch and swap out my Union Pay card for one of these MasterCard debit cards? Other than this, I have had an account at Bangkok Bank since since the early 90s and have received exceptional service the entire time.
Thanks in advance
Thank you in advance

I did a camping trip a couple of years back. Started in Chantaburi and then followed the border all the way north to Nong Khai. Most national parks allow camping and have rudimentary facilities like washrooms and showers. But very basic.

This article was obviously published today by mistake. It was meant to be published April 1.

So the 2 largest chinese vaccines are not included on the list? And no Sputnik either? No Russians and Chinese, somehow you really wonder who makes all these policies. Must be an epic fight between doctors who only worry about zero cases and the desperate tourisms industry. The result is a half baked solution no one will probably be happy with.
From the lead article: The following vaccines are accepted (as of 31 March, 2021): ARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (CoronaVac) by Sinovac (2 doses needed)
Sinovac is Chinese

Once the immigration website is up and running again, you can register yourself as the Responsible Person for whatever address you are staying at on the TM-30 website. It takes only a few minutes. After that you can self report.

I am trying to imagine the outpourings of self righteous indigation, scorn and insults had this been "Heathrow to Bangkok Experience". Maybe the perpetual Thai knockers on here might like to read the story a few times and let it sink in that The UK and other Western nations are not head and shoulders above Thailand in many respects.
Anyone care to share any recent experience of arrival at Swampy so we can make a direct comparison?
PH
My arrival at Suvarnaphumbi in Nov last year was smooth and quick. Landed and on my way to hotel in 30 minutes or so. The immigration and health officials were efficient and even relatively friendly.

Is it just me? Or is there a lot of people on this forum that don't recognize sarcasm when they see it?

It can only be used for entry to the country. It is not valid until immigration stamps it when entering the country.
Ok, thanks Joe

But can it be used to generate a replacement as the Original Poster was seeking?
FYI, Ubon Joe, it isn't working at the moment, same as the rest of Thai Immigration website, hence the reason for my questions about it.
Note: the English version of the website says nothing about current functionality but if you switch to the Thai language version, it clearly states (in English) that the entire site is Closed for Maintenance. TIT

Have you had your water tested for impurities? You can usually take it to a local hospital and they will test it for you. Whether your water is full of impurities depends on a lot of factors: is it bore water (very shallow). Or is it from a deeper source with a good seal above it to prevent local ground water from contaminating it? Before spending money on filtration systems, I would determine 2 things: is it full of impurities and if so what impurities? That will be a big factor in what type of filtration you require if you do require it.

Does anyone know what the link in this screenshot of the Thai Immigration website is for? It says TM 6 Card Online.

Thanks guys. On their site it says I'll need fingerprints to be done in Bangkok still, so maybe I can't avoid a trip afterall. But it also says the process takes days, rather than weeks, so that might make it worth it for me to work through them.
I would give them a call. I believe they could arrange to have you get your prints taken at a Phuket police office and have them sent to headquarters in Bangkok. No guarantees on that, but they are pretty good at what they do.

Depends if you need anything done such as obtain a residence certificate, drivers license etc. Don't think you will find that a copy would cut it.
Well, I would assume that if you do need an actual TM6 for a residency certificate, you would then indeed get one because you would be at immigration anyway?

I was able to get a copy from the hotel, and it seems like that will do for now. I will go to the police and immigration next week and get a replacement. Thanks for all the help!
If you were able to get a copy, you should be good to go. As BritTim says, the number is generally all you ever need. Why bother going to immigration to get a new one? Just wait until you are ready to fly out and get a new one at the airport.

Sorry, too many typos. I definitely opened a bank account at Krungsri with both passports in hand. I just had to explain the situation and it was no problem.
