There is an agent the PCS center recommends on the their website. http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/

But I cannot get onto the site due it not opening for some unknown reason.

There is a button on the left side of the page that says outsource on it.  The fees mentioned are around 3000 baht.

UbonJoe: I believe that would be A-Plus Service & Consulting at that link.

    https://www.a-plusservice.com/

I have used them twice because I was in a hurry and my employer(s) were paying anyway. If I remember correctly they charged 4400 baht and I had it done in 5 working days vs more than the month it takes if you do it yourself. They did as advertised. I recommend them.

  2. I sat waiting for 2 hrs to do the same thing. Then lunch time came and I left. Asked myself why on earth do I need to transfer the stamps. Answer: no reason at all. Solution: just carry both passports when entering or leaving Thailand. No issues and no aggravation. When extension renewal time comes along, bring both passports and receive new extension in new passport. I did it for over 3 years; traveling in and out of Thailand on a monthly basis (Elite Visa) and nary a word from any IO.

@toolpush Oh wow, so you didn't have TM30 and was fined 1600 baht? After paying the fine, were you able to extend your visa at the immigration office right away? Thanks a ton for the info btw.

Yes, it was quite amusing actually. I was told to report to the desk concerning my lack of a TM 30. I sat down and the young lady began haranguing me, I held up my hand and simply said:" What If I just paid the fine?". She immediately changed her attitude and with a big smile said ok, give me 1600 baht and all is good. I took the receipt to the extension desk and got my extension right away.

    You got a receipt?!

So your landlord neglected to do a TM30 and you were fined for something that somebody else didn't do?

I understood that the Landlord should do the TM 30 and if he doesn't then surely the Landlord should be fined, not the tenant.

I was in Pattaya. I "own" the house I live in. I have never reported before because I didn't ever need to. This time I entered on a STV and went to extend it. They required a TM 30.  And, yes, I got a receipt.

Farmers do not burn to save money or time. If you don't believe this, just ask a few about their reasoning and watch the fireworks. Burning fields hurts their profits by depleting the soil and promoting erosion. They don't care, they just use more chemicals. Burning is not as easy. People need to be there to work it where they want it to go, often by splashing gas as they go along, and make sure it doesn't get out of control, which it sometimes does anyway. There are many profitable ways to deal with the waste, but they don't want it. Burning is simply a habit like smoking. You need to think of it in those terms to understand why it happens. People love smoking and nothing you say will change that. Same with burning fields.

They could make money from this "waste" by baling, sileage, or plenty of other sensible choices. They don't want this because they love burning.

Becoming eh? As if farmers haven't been using tractors to plow all over thailand since before most here were born.

Yes, absolutely everything that can be burnt is burnt. Even at households every twig, leaf, and piece of plastic is heaped and burned.

Farmers don't care about this. They use dangerous farm poisons liberally in our food chain and will fight anyone who tries to take them away. Meanwhile there are more profitable approaches like this:

Agree. Thais just gotta burn. It is in their DNA. See it in residential areas in Pattaya all the time. Especially in dry season?

How would you expect a bank or police to react to you presenting an expired/canceled passport?  I expect very few would accept new without entry.  I agree the chance of it happening may be slight but if it is not a major issue would not want to invite issues by procrastination.

You mention entry as in entry stamp I presume. That is not what the OP was talking about as far as I can tell. He was talking about his extension stamp because of marriage. As for the entry stamp, when you leave the country, the immigration officer will direct you to the desk where you pay overstay fines and the people there will transfer your entry stamp into your new passport for you with a smile.

I did so all the time. No one blinked an eye. I kept my two passports bound together as one. I must have traveled through international borders over 30 times that way. Used it at banks, immigration, etc. Not a word that it was "wrong" from anyone.

  8. As long as you get to keep your old passport with the stamps in it, why bother? I went to Chaeng Wattana to do it. Got there at 9 AM. Got a number and at 10:55 it appeared that I would have to wait until they came back from ,lunch. I left. I carried two passports for three years after that. No problem. The reason it was 3 years was because I had an Elite Visa. I never had any issues with Immigration officers. None ever mentioned it.

For the 90 day extension most offices are not asking for proof of your accommodations. If needed immigration would accept a TM30 report and proof of the residence where you are staying. It would not have to be a hotel.

ubonjoe is correct in regards to Jomtien Immigration anyway. They did ask for a TM 30 for where I was staying (my house). I didn't have one, so I paid a fine, filled out a TM30 and all was good. Extension granted.

First time I hear of such an 'Extension not allowed' stamp!

There are countless reports of Non Imm O Visa holders that did exactly that > applying for an extension when the permission to stay of their Non Imm O Visa was due to expire.

Ok, I was not implying that a person cannot do so. I was simply stating what was stamped in my passport. I am currently stuck in quarantine in China and only have my current "new" passport with me. When I return home sometime in the summer, I will dig out some old passports and send you a scan.
