  1. My 12+ year old 4-door 4wd 3l diesel Toyota Vigo truck has been virtually trouble free from new, 350000 on the clock goes anywhere (4wd) and cost considerably less than the Fortuner equivalent, which is in my view a very uncomfortable car. I know several other Vigo owners who have regretted trading them in for something else. Make sure to have sight of the blue book, and the sellers' name matches the owner!. You also want sight of the maintenance record, which should be dealer stamped at every appropriate interval. Be very suspicious of any vehicle which is not dealer maintained. Farang owners are in general terms a safer bet.

  3. Can you imagine the disaster waiting to happen if home production of hydrogen gets in the wrong hands? Somchai is dangerous enough using butane and propane cylinders, and he doesn't even fill them himself......
  4. I knew it would be a couple of minutes wasted if I clicked the link. I really should learn from my mistakes........ if it mentions TAT, it's tat.
  5. There is a good reason why you can't buy one of these over the counter..............
  6. A bribe:- money goes into policemans' pocket. A fine:- money goes into his bosses' pockets, he might get a small % commission. No wonder he is in trouble if he takes bribes! Rice bowls need filling! Boss needs a new Lambo!
  7. Additional info: - If you are acting as attorney, you will need a sjgned copy of your own passport, one for each POA.
  8. Following the wisdom posted here on AN, I today went to Naklua to obtain Covid Passports for myself and my wife. Here is a blow-by-blow account, for the benefit of others. 1. Where:- Pattayarak Health Unit, behind Naklua Fish Market:- Pattayarak Health Unit 064 908 9246 https://maps.app.goo.gl/UtoUafduYQXTzdYG7 2. When:- Hours are 08:30 - 11:30, 13:00 to 15:30. I arrived at 11:45, to be told come back at 13:00, and that it would be busy! The correct counter is counter 1 on the right. The place also does ATK and PCR testing, for which they have a queue numbering system. There is no queue system for Counter 1, devil take the hindmost. As there is a mix of nationalities jockeying for position, you must stand your ground. 3:Paperwork required: If you attend in person: Original passport and Vaxx certificate Signed passport copy with phone number, signed copy vaxx certificate. If you are trying to act on someone else's behalf, YOU ALSO NEED A POWER OF ATTORNEY! Photo attached. 4. Process:- The papers are taken and checked, after 10 minutes or so the originals are returned and an appointment given to collect the passport: in this case in one months time!!!! No money was asked for. I think that if you have travel tickets before the collection date, they will process quicker.
  9. I imagine the price of accepting a jab is similar to the cost of a vote..............
  10. I hope he spent the compulsory 1,000,000 tourist baht of his own money. That will return happiness to the people!
  11. I am insured by Axxa, have been since day one of my then new, now 12 year old, Vigo truck. Never a problem to renew, nor with the very few claims I have had - none of which are down to me, I might add. Indeed, their service has been above and beyond the cover.
  12. Nitrous oxide is easily available. It is sold for cream whippers, and not to be confused with CO² for soda syphons. It is expensive in this form and I defy anyone to achieve any physiological effect from a bulb or two!

    M&S in Central

It's on floor 1, within Central store, on the left as you enter from the Mall. If you count the basement as B and the ground floor as G, which no one in LOS understands, except possibly Herr Schindler!
  14. In UK, you can practice. But, you can not call yourself, or claim to be, a professional by a protected name, if you are not qualified AND registered as such. The lost pf prptected names is quite long, includes dentists, optometrists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and most of the other 'ists. Not to mention accountants, lawyers, and architects.
  15. So, it produces (maybe) 45 MW through the day. At night, it produces 0 MW. Greatest demand is during darkness! and no way to store the power.
  16. In general terms, I prefer draught beer to containers, be it cans or bottles....which do not taste the same as each other, or the draught. Cans of so called draft don't count, even if they have an explosive gassy thingy inside! Quantity wise, bigger is generally better, but value for money does count for something. Common formats are 330ml, 350ml, 495ml, 1pint, 500ml, 1litre Not all beers are available in all formats:- it is more important that I actually a)like, and b) can afford, the contents! The range of imported draught beers has drastically reduced over recent years, and increased in price proportionally. On the other hand, I doubt that I could afford to drink in a British pub these days! Cheers!
  17. Not to be pedantic, I don't think you can eviscerate from a face....it has to be from the insides. Just saying, but I get your meaning, and empathise.
  18. I am extremely happy with my Asus, replacing a top-of the range Sony that is dying of old age and software bloat. It has better specs and weighs much less, only downside it doesn't have a disk drive.
