  1. Ok, I tried it with the KBank app to check by doing a pay to the PEA and entering the CA/Ref No1 and get the following message: "Sorry - The system cannot process your transaction at this moment. Please try again later." Does this mean there's no outstanding amount to pay and the previous CounterService Pay payment went through successfully?
  2. I'm the tenant, not the owner though. Can anyone just check usage & payment status of a property via the PEA app?
  3. Anyone else using CounterService App to pay their electricity bills with credit card? I get a Payment Success email but if I look at the history on the app, it says payment failed. This also happened last month too, but both this time and last month the credit card was charged by them. Also, how do we know for sure that the PEA bill was paid? If it didn't go through, would it show on this month's new bill the outstanding amount from last month in addition to this month's charges?
  4. If you could please do this, this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  5. Did they ask for any proof of this? Because when an employee they want employment contract, payslips, etc. and when a business owner they want proof of business registration, etc.
  6. Thanks, was this for a Lao gf who you applied for a tourist visitor visa? Also, roughly how long ago did you do those applications?
  7. This thread is about people's experiences with "Key Visa" and if they are any good with doing Australian visas now that the original foreign owner has passed.
  8. We are both in our mid to late 30's with an age-gap of just over 5 years between us. Relationship approximately 1 year together. Yes, we are located in Pattaya.
  9. Partially correct. Wanting to get an Australian tourist visa for a Lao gf. We are both living in Thailand.
  10. "Key Visa" - are these guys any good these days with Australian tourist visas? Apparently the main guy Darren who started this company isn't around anymore. Is the company still English owned and managed, as their website currently states:https://www.keyvisathailand.com/services/visa-refusals/ "An English owned and managed company with bilingual English / Thai staff who will help your Thai partner through the entire process with no hassle and full support from the beginning of the process right up until you receive your visa"
  11. Does anyone here know good visa agents who are able to assist in getting an Australian tourist visa for a Lao gf living in Thailand? Any recommendations please?
  12. 2x limit on land border crossings per year - is that only for visa exempt entries? I presume with a METV you are allowed unlimited land border crossings until the visa expiry date, eg. via Nong Khai if you have a visa. Is this correct?

    Cinema pricing

Anyone know the current pricing for cinemas in Pattaya and which day they have the "cheap" day as? I remember Major Cineplex at The Avenue Pattaya used to have a special of 100 baht before, but is this still the case? I think it was every Wednesday.
  14. This is useful to be able to fill it in and print it off. Where did you get the soft-copy from? Do you have an "Extension of Stay" form in soft-copy format too? Thanks
  15. Not just with a new visa, but with the exact same multiple entry visa each and every time you re-enter Thailand and stay at the same address, you still need to do a TM30 at Jomtien.
  16. Changng Thai Baht to Australian Dollar - Better to do it in Thailand or Australia? Where do you get the better exchange rate?
  17. An update: Udon Thani Airport - used the InDrive app as Bolt doesn't work in Udon Thani. With InDrive I paid 500 baht with multiple drivers showing up immediately wanting to take me to the border for 500 baht. Could've been done with InDrive's recommended price which showed up as 477 baht. Nong Khai Border - InDrive - No drivers were found at all. I tried 500 baht, then 550 baht then 600 baht. Nothing. Grab had a price of 660 baht but the estimated journey time to Udon Thani Airport was nearly 2 hours! I'm guessing none of the Grab drivers were nearby as it should only take about an hour. Ended up taking the actual red and yellow taxi next to 7-Eleven which had a quoted price on their sign of 700 baht. Didn't ask the touts on the Laos side offering or the ones immediately after clearing Thai immigration. Not sure if they would've quoted cheaper or more expensive than 700 baht.
  18. Thanks. Would Udon Thani airport to the Nong Khai border by car to be roughly around the same rate, or would you expect something like around 800 baht?
  19. Thanks. Any ideas on approximate prices?
  20. Does anyone know if there'a any car taxi services available from Nong Khai border? Is Bolt available? Roughly what price would a car taxi service be? Alternatively, what would be the best way to get from Vientiane to Udon Thani Airport via the border crossing? Would you need to catch the bus from Vientiane to Udon Thani bus station near Central, then get a car taxi to Udon Thani airport?
  21. Anyone know if a Lao person can renew a Lao passport in BKK at the embassy or do they have to go back to Lao to renew this? I saw a thread from a few years ago but there was no conclusion to this: https://aseannow.com/topic/1002422-renewing-a-lao-passport-in-bangkok/
  22. Thanks for the info. Anyone know or have experience with the MSIG Travel Easy plan? Is this a good policy? Is MSIG considered one of the "larger multinaitonals"?
  23. Why would you not? Gives the students experience cutting hair and my hair only takes about 2 mins to do a full head shave with the clippers. ????
  24. Is it at a specific shop opposite Tukcom or do they do it outside? What time do they start and finish on Fridays? Thanks
  25. Used to be every Saturday at Big C Extra where students from a hair school were giving free haircuts, right next to the food court. Went today and there's a clothes stall there now. Anyone know if this has been discontinued? This is the one:
