    Cleaning lady

What is the standard rate for a cleaner to clean a 1 bedroom room in a condo building in Pattaya Beach area, 300 baht?
  2. Is it possible to apply for a DTV with an approximate date of entry but not actually do the 1st entry on that date, but actually do the 1st entry at a later stage considering the visa is valid for 5 years? Does the DTV have an "Enter before date" like other visas in the past, which were usually 3 months after the visa has been issued?
  3. I think you are confused. Your wife has 3 properties in her name. You have zero properties in your own name. She could sell it and the money is all hers.
  4. What is a 'Tom Yam Kung' Crisis? Has it got to do with the elephant in the 'Tom Yum Kung' movie?
  5. You don't need to upload a utility bill, you can also upload your drivers licence or bank statement as proof of location: https://canberra.thaiembassy.org/destination-thailand-visa-dtv/
  6. Keep us all updated after you apply through the Sydney Thai consulate as there's a number of us that will also be applying through them in the future. Being in Oz, there's two options, the Sydney consulate for only people living in NSW and the Canberra Embassy for everyone else not in NSW.
  7. That's absolutely insane. Surely that agent is taking the piss.
  8. What type of dental work was used? A simple checkup and clean or something complex? What type of documentation did the dental clinic provide?
  9. That's good to know. So we are able to proceed with the online application by skipping the question about uploading a Travel Booking Confirmation which seemed to be compulsory with a red asterisks as per Page 31of: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/static/English-Manual.pdf
  10. For those who have applied and had your DTV approved, did you book your flights before submitting your DTV application? Did you also have to submit your application at least a month prior to your travel date? I emailed the Australian Embassy (Canberra) asking this question and they said: "You should book your flight before submit visa and please apply 1-2 months before your travel date."
  11. What type of issues would the OP have to deal with?
  12. It shouldn't matter, but you never know until they approve the visa. I would pay myself only a dollar a month but that may be taking the piss to have an employment contract with a salary of $12/year.
  13. Income - I'm wondering if there would be any issues if you put a small monthly income like $100 per month / $1,200 per year on an employment contract or a certificate of work letter? I was thinking about having a company which I am a director of pay me $100/month for bookkeeping services where I could be a remote worker. Or should I increase it to $500 per month / $6,000 per year to play it a bit safer? I'm trying to plan ahead to have this done a few months in advanced so the income is shown coming into the bank account each month then I will apply for the DTV in December. Obviously in my savings account I have way more than the required 500k baht so just need to sort out the income side of it.
  14. Are you applying through Canberra Embassy or Sydney Consulate? (Sydney Consulate is only for people in NSW) When applying, did you have to provide Accomodation Name, Travel Booking Confirmation and Proof of Accommodation in Thailand as per Page 30 and Page 31 of: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/static/English-Manual.pdf I'm wondering what if people don't have their airline ticket booked or accommodation not booked yet, as it's best to wait for the visa to be issued first before booking these.
  15. I don't think you understood his question. He asked for HOTELS not for CONDOS where long-term residents live at.
  16. In Australia, is it only the Canberra Embassy looking after all visa applications these days or for people in NSW does the Sydney Consulate still looks after this? It seems when trying to apply for a DTV it says to select the Canberra Embassy for all states except for NSW and to select the Sydney Consulate if you are in NSW.
  17. Just reading the user manual for submitting visa applications. Do you actually need to provide Accomodation Name, Travel Booking Confirmation and Proof of Accommodation in Thailand as per Page 30 and Page 31 of: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/static/English-Manual.pdf Seems that this is mandatory as it's got a red asterisks next to both.
  18. Is there a minimum salary or income that you must receive from your employer to qualify? Can the payments from your employer be paid on a monthly basis? As long as you have a bank account with over 500k baht in it, I presume it shouldn't matter how much is your salary or income. Even earning $100/month should be sufficient?
  19. Did you get approved yet or are waiting for approval?
  20. Nice. That's good news. They just need to issue a letter on their letterhead that you have an appointment or a printed out email is sufficient?
  21. Just read it now. Good to see they accepted dental work (dentures) for a DTV with one dentist appointment already completed. For myself, I need one dental implant but have yet to make any appointments. Thought if I'm coming to Thailand, I might as well do it in Thailand for a cheaper price than in Australia and it would be an added bonus if doing this dental implant would get me a DTV valid for 5 years. Was just unsure how likely the Australian Embassy in Canberra would accept this as "Medical Treatment" in issuing a DTV. Hopefully this could be sufficient to get a DTV as I understand dental implants are between a 3 to 6 month process from start to finish.
  22. There is a "Medical treatment" category for the DTV Visa: Would arranging to get a single tooth dental implant qualify for this to get a DTV Visa? Would be great if that could be sufficient to qualify 😁
  23. How long does it take from start to finish for a dental implant of a molar and how many times do you have to go in? Is it a 6 month time frame from start to finish with a few appointments in between?
  24. Employment contract or employment certificate in their home country: 1. What do they need to see in the employment contract to be satisfactory? 2. Is there a minimum salary or income they want to see in the employment contract? 3. Do they check to see if you get paid a salary or income from your employer into your personal bank account? Is this needed as proof even though there's no mention about this as a requirement? Curious to know if someone is receiving passive rental income, how can they make it so they qualify under the DTV visa? Say rental income goes into a company or a trust, can you have an "employment contract" from this company or trust signed by yourself or a close family member, as long as you or the family member is a director of the company or trustee of a trust?
  25. These embassies are price gouging to get a few extra bucks into their pockets. USD$400 = 13,440 baht = AUD$594 - when using Google to convert it over.
