  1. The AIS Net Marathon SIM was given at the same time when buying the AIS 4G Home Wifi Modem Router, which was directly from the AIS shop. They did all the registration and put the SIM in the router. The pack which contained the SIM and the phone number of the SIM was thrown away, as I didn't think that I needed the phone number later on, as it was only to be used in the AIS 4G Home Wifi Modem Router. I think I will have to give that a try. Break out the Nano SIM out of the larger Micro SIM. Hopefully when I put it back into the Micro part, it will line up fine back in the router.
  2. I get a "Send fail" message when trying it via the modem's SMS feature. I also tried sending a SMS via the modem's SMS feature to my current AIS mobile number in my phone but same problem, I get a "Send fail" message too. Taking out the SIM, well, it's a bigger size in the Wifi router than the size in my mobile phone. In the router it's a Micro SIM but my phone takes the smallest Nano SIM.
  3. How to find phone number of an AIS Net Marathon SIM inside an AIS 4G Home Wifi Modem Router? I logged into the router but can't see anywhere where it displays the phone number of the AIS SIM card. There's a SMS section and also a phonebook section, but that doesn't list anything. Anyone knows how to find out the phone number of the SIM card so I can add funds to it for when it's due for it's 12 month renewal of the existing package? Alternatively, do I need to take it to an AIS shop and ask them to check the phone number of the SIM card?
  4. Just got a message now about the renewal. Today being 3 days before expiry. SMS is in Thai language, even though I set any messages to come in English. From my poor ability to read Thai I can make out that it's about the renewal, but if I use Google Translate it basically says package expires in 3 days. Auto renew for 12 months, make sure you top up 1,790 baht prior. For continuous use, please top up enough money.
  5. A private taxi to take one passenger to Cambodia and back to BKK for 6k, wow you've struck the jackpot there my friend!!
  6. The requirements are for funds stated to be shown in the bank account of the applicant. Since he's the applicant, he will need to have the required funds to apply for a METV.
  7. Yes, I have the Mr DIY receipt, the store I bought it from. I'm not sure about 30 day warranty as the receipt says "Exchanges are allowed within 7 day with receipt. Strictly no cash refunds".
  8. Condo juristic office just told me it's because I bought a cheap one, that's why it lasts only a few days. If they buy and install, then it's 400 baht for a good one. And everyone here said it costs 100 baht or so to replace a new bum gun. That's only if you want to keep replacing bum guns every 5 days at over 200+ baht (100 baht for installation) every 5 days!! That's $10 every 5 days to continuously fix bum gums that keeps breaking.
  9. I bought one from Mr DIY for 110 baht and paid 100 baht for the condo technician to install it. That was 5 days ago. This morning I was awoken to a broken bum gun and the water flooding the bathroom, so I immediately turned off the valve for the bum gum. Water still leaking out of the new bum gun. What the hell, only 5 days it lasted!!! Is this a plumbing issue in the building or my room or the water pressure going to my room being too strong? I can't be replacing bum guns every 5 days. bloody hell.
  10. Yes, please report back how you go how things go after you arrive back to Thailand. Probably best to avoid female IO when entering and only go to a line with a male IO.
  11. So it wasn't only me who was sent packing and told to come back one (1) business day prior to stamp expiry. It is everybody else too. How long ago did you go for your extension, was it in the past few weeks?
  12. What's the deal with this? I don't understand why they asked you for this. Did you already have the TM30 slip stapled in the back of your passport when you previously lodged the TM30 with them at Jomtien which was done 72 hours within your initial entry into Thailand?
  13. Thanks for the report. Did you go one (1) business day prior to stamp expiry or how long before? Is a photocopy of the TM30 which they previously stapled to the back of the passport needed? I can't remember if this needs photocopying or not since it would be in the system already when it was lodged with them already on the last visit to their offices.
  14. Unfortunately it doesn't show the price I paid there. See screnshot: https://ibb.co/Btzk9k0
  15. So both you and your husband were able to renew the exact same package as you were on before, one week or one month after expiry? And for the same price of 1,890 baht, correct?
  16. I'm also looking at the Terms & Conditions on the link you've provided. It says the below, so I'm presuming the same with my current package which is about to expire shortly: There will be no SMS notification prior to the package termination. Also, they are now charging for AIS to AIS calls. Previously all were free to the same network. Call rates : Calls to any networks are charged at 50 Satang/30 seconds (1 Baht for the first minute) 24 hours.
  17. For the new Marathon package has a mere 50GB allowance and costs 2,200 baht, on the top banner it says: *Applicable to customers using a new One-2-Call SIM for less than 30 days only. Right now I'm only 8 days away from my current package expiry so I will need to see if next week I get a text message offering me a renewal of my package, otherwise I'll have to give them a ring.
  18. Ok, thanks. How do you top up, is there a URL in the text message they send or how can you top up online? Or do you need to go to an AIS shop and top up via that top up machine at the front of any AIS store by adding money onto your phone number? Also, if you have an AIS 4G Home Wifi Modem Router it also has a SIM with the exact same package but expires maybe a month or two later. Being that the SIM is in the router, there will be no text messages informing you when to top up, so I presume you'd need to ask the AIS shop to check for you. This is the one I'm talking about in this pic: https://www.google.com/search?q=ais+4g+home+Wifi+modem&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjQ_fnj4o6EAxURR2wGHeA9BmAQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=ais+4g+home+Wifi+modem&gs_lp=EgNpbWciFmFpcyA0ZyBob21lIFdpZmkgbW9kZW1I8RFQkwhY5A5wAHgAkAEAmAGCAaAB4QSqAQMwLjW4AQPIAQD4AQGKAgtnd3Mtd2l6LWltZ4gGAQ&sclient=img&ei=3vu9ZdCWOZGOseMP4PuYgAY&bih=1038&biw=1920#imgrc=78_nP5zZkv0H1M
  19. I have an AIS Net Marathon 15Mbps 100GB/month 12 month package which is about to expire in a few days. I went to the AIS store asking how can I renew it and the staff did a Google Translate via the app while talking into her phone. She said that it automatically renews and I asked how can it as I need to pay for it to renew then she said staff doesn't know how much it costs to renew but it renews automatically. Then she talked with two other staff members. One of them said it's 1,800 baht and I need to top up via the app. I showed her my app and under "My Package" it has the green button "Buy on-top package" and she said yes, to add money via the app using this. I said thanks, I will do this but after further inspection clicking on the green button "Buy on-top package" there's no options to add money only to buy some other extra packages. How does one renew this Net Marathon package? AIS store really has no idea. Does anyone here have an idea how to renew this package for another year? See below screenshots of my app: https://ibb.co/5YckT6N https://ibb.co/CwynY3S
  20. Anyone else recently did a 30 day extension of a tourist visa in the past few weeks able to shed some light if things are the same as in December at Jomtien Immigration? Is it still the same that 30 day extensions can only be done one (1) business day prior as in the past? Only comments from people dealing with Jomtien Immigration only, no other immigration offices.
  21. Do you know the reason why they charged 20 baht for your wife?
  22. What about the non-aged ones who identify as a 70+ year old? With today's ridiculous stupid pronouns, LGBTQ whatever and people identifying as this and that rubbish, that you can't discriminate against, why not, right?
  23. Hopefully not coming back to work here again without a work permit?
