  1. How do they discharge water from canals when the canals (klongs) discharge into the Chaoprao River, which means a lot (if not all) of the klongs are tidal, and rise and fall according to the tides in the Gulf of Thailand.
  2. How did he get the finger damage, punched in the nose?
  3. I have seen some Thai's running at Chatuchak Park without shirts. Depends on the mood of the Security Sloths.
  4. Have the coup while Prawit is having his daily nap and you could take control before his assistants could ever wake him up and carry him back to the Parlimentary Chambers. As for Prayut, he's currently scheming plans A, B and C so that somehow he ends up back in power. Once a snake, always a snake.
  5. Those Russian "gangstas" will be weeping and asking for political asylum next, after they get their call up papers. They won't need crypto currency in Putin's new utopia.
  6. I can't imaging even trying to compare Scotland to Thailand. I love Scotland as a country but the winter heating bill alone would be enough to decimate an average monthly pension, add a piece of fresh fruit every week and your monthly budget would be blown. But, if you like salted porridge like my dear dad did then you will be fine.
  7. I can't see masks disappearing in Bangkok anytime soon. Anutin praising the populous for continuing mask wearing after discontinuing the mask mandate regulations doesn't help. Personally I think mask wearing should a personal choice now, but it appears that mask wearing (or not) has polarized opinion and created two groups, the mask wearers who decry the actions of the non wearers (mainly falangs) and the non wearers who despise the paranoid people that continue to wear masks (mainly Thais).
  8. I've got a suggestion for the RTP. The RTP could look for a sponsor to help raise funds for extradition. They could have headings like: "This extradition is sponsored by Red Bull. We leave no stoner unturned to get our man"
  9. Amazing, proof yet again that beautiful people get treated better than fugly people. Would she have readily got asylum if she had a head like Chad Morgan?
  10. Sounds a bit like what has happened to my body and hair over the last decade, everything breaking down or falling apart.
  11. Toothless Tiger type speech me thinks.
  12. How "lucky". You never find what you don't seek.
  13. Keep fighting the Junta. Well done.
  14. They should hold an annual conference in Malaysia...."Thais in Exile". Plenty of famous Thais who could be keynote speakers and I'm sure that Redbull would or could act as the major sponsor.
  15. He looks like Anutin, maybe it's his weekend gig.
  16. Drive according to the prevailing conditions, as the saying goes. The media could make a new TV series for international audiences, something like "Thai Death Roads". The driver's here are pretty ordinary.
  17. RIP to the child and parent. If the truck driver was drinking then string him up.
  18. I wonder if National Parks will give a refund for charging foreigners five or ten times the Thai entry fee. That would be something to praise them for.
  19. I bought my sofa (Natuzzi) at Boonthavorn on Rachidapisek Rd and there is also a big furniture complex across the road that sells Thai Leather Sofa's. I drive there, but you could catch the MRT and walk to Boonthavorn as well, which I have also done. There are numerous hotels on that road too.
  20. Dead man walking. Yes, dengue is around Bangkok. My wife caught it here in Saphan Kwai in 2018 because we used to leave the windows open thinking that the 26th floor was high enough to minimize mosquitoes. Now we have insect screens and never open the windows anyway.
  21. I'm sure that in a couple of days time the lawyer will have a change of heart and submit to an alcohol test. After greasing the wheels of the RTP he will be found to be squeaky clean.
  22. Crack heads more likely, rather than safe crackers.
