I got a 4th booster shot in Bangkok at BangSue 4 months after the third shot because their was a flap going on about one of the strains and it was recommended at the time to bring booster shots forward. I can't remember the exact details now because they contacted my wife with the suggestion of the additional booster and I got mine at the same time.

You have to ask the developer what formulae they use to calculate the ROI e.g. are they calculating ROI on income generated from room leasing or is it income generated + supposed yearly property appreciation? There is absolutely no way that a developer will risk taking a yearly loss of profit in order to guarantee an ROI.

Amazing Thailand: Now bad driving is an indicator of lottery numbers
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
There aren't enough lottery number combinations to account for every bad act of driving in Thailand. -
Russia notifies U.S. it will carry out expected nuclear drills
Aussieroaming replied to webfact's topic in World News
I'm sure that plenty of US missiles are currently warming up on the launch pad with pre-programmed addresses in Russia and a few other countries as well. Given recent Russian shenanigans it wouldn't come as a surprise for a them to try a pre-emptive strike on Ukraine while they have the nukes around. Likewise I am sure that US and Nato are watching satellite feeds pretty closely. -

Another day, another embarrassment for the RTP. There just aren't enough pretties in the Land of Plod to counteract the RTP criminals. -
I will bet that they are investigating the names on the list so that they can get the "white out" and delete their own names if they appear. Which operators have the confidence of admitting that the brown shirts extort them for money when the brown shirts would be investigating the allegations. Corrupt, corrupt, corrupt. Thanks for cleaning the RTP corruption up Prawit, another promise that slide down the toilet like a brown trout.

Work permit for skilled tradesman
Aussieroaming replied to HerbyJFlash's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Better that you look for a FI/FO job in construction or mining or something similar off shore and commute back to Thailand as your home base. Expert electricians are always in need in the mining industry, especially if you have heavy industry experience with transformers, MCC's and switchboards, VFD/VSD drives and have HV ticketing. Domestic house/commercial building electricians weren't (aren't) considered as suitable at all though. You would also need to have a good understanding of electrical lock out procedures. I have worked overseas with electrical tradesmen who weren't Engineers, but they always have a skills base that is considered not available locally in order to get their visa's. And these tradesmen always come in as "superintendents or trainers". -
I don't blame you, I have had covid twice now and the first time nearly killed me with double pneumonia and a raft of secondary symptoms, some of which I still have after more than 2 years. Second dose of covid was after I had gotten 3 covid shots believe it or not. Luckily I only had mild symptoms the second time. I feel fairly immune now though.

Advice on how to look for a furnished flat for couple mos?
Aussieroaming replied to whomever's topic in Bangkok
AirBnB is illegal unless it is for a minimum 30 day stay or if the AirBnB is located in a codotel. So be very careful about any short term offers like weekly etc as you may well be asked by the condo management to leave unless you comply with the current government regulations. Some private owners of course ignore that law in order to make money but the ultimate risk will lay with the customer. Many serviced apartments are very negotiable if more than one or two months. -
Good question. My wife won't take a taxi alone at night at all. She would rather catch the BTS or even a van if she were forced into it. She has had to deal with a couple of weird taxi drivers in the past that made her feel unsafe, so she prefers a more public transport trip. As a guy I feel safe but I would be more self aware if it was late at night and I was in an unfamiliar area.

You are 100% correct. The majority of noise polluting bikes in my area are food delivery mocy's which break road rules, pollution rules and the mother companies like Grab and Food panda aren't held accountable at all. When we bought our condo 5 years ago we used to have windows open but now 5 years later the scooter noise is too intrusive and I have looked many times on the street when I hear these noise polluting bikes and I would say at least 80% of the culprits are Grab and Food Panda etc. So now we have sealed our window's and eventually will move somewhere where hopefully there's less noise.
